Sovereign Sage, Illustrious Hero Background Sovereign's parents were Luxon soldiers stationed at the Leviathan Pits. They travelled to Shing Jea island just before Sovereign's birth so she could study under Headmaster Amara and Master Togo at the Monastery. When Sovereign grew up, she returned to Cavalon to aid the Luxons in the war against the Kurzicks. However, Sovereign's adventures took her in another direction: defeating Shiro Tagachi and sending him back to the Realm of Torment. Sovereign later assisted the Sunspears in a journey into the Realm of Torment to destroy the fallen Abaddon and save the world from eternal nightfall.
