Skill Changes[edit]
PvE and PvP[edit]
Warrior[edit]
- Defy Pain: Removed adrenaline cost; increased damage reduction to 61...120...200; now gives a natural +10 health regen.
- Hundred Blades: Now damages all foes within radar range; reduced recharge to 10 seconds.
- Earth Shaker: Now knocks down all foes within earshot; reduced adrenaline cost to 2.
- Primal Rage: Increased attack speed bonus to 50%; increased movement speed bonus to 50%; you no longer take double damage while using this stance.
- "I Will Avenge You!": Reduced recharge to 5 seconds.
- Shield Bash: No longer requires a shield to work.
Ranger[edit]
- Barrage: No longer removes preparations; attack speed set to 1/4.
- Quick Shot: Increased activation time to 10 seconds.
- Distracting Shot: Reduced recharge to 1 second.
- Charm Animal: You can now charm more than one animal, and can steal the animals of enemies.
Monk[edit]
- Amity: Increased recharge time to 60 seconds; now causes foes to have a 1% chance to miss instead of being unable to attack.
- Healing Hands: This skill now heals for 5 times the normal amount on warriors.
- Peace and Harmony: Now heals for 100 for each rank in Divine Favor for each hex/condition removed; reduced recharge to 1.
- Divine Boon: This skill now causes you to lose 5 energy whenever you use a skill.
- Mending: Decreased regeneration to 1...1...1; increased upkeep cost to 4 energy degen, except for warriors.
- Smiter's Boon: This skill now causes exhaustion.
- Vengeance: Has a 90% chance to fail when casting on dead targets.
Necromancer[edit]
- Removed all skills except for Blood is Power and minion-creating skills.
Mesmer[edit]
- Panic: This skill now causes monsters to run around in circles.
- Visions of Regret: Now hexes all foes within earshot of target.
- Tease: Reduced recharge to 2 seconds.
- Cry of Frustration: Reduced recharge to 2 seconds; reduced energy cost to 5.
- Aneurysm: No longer deals damage.
- Cry of Pain: This skill can now be used in PvP.
- Diversion: Reduced activation time to 1/4; reduced recharge time to 3 seconds.
Elementalist[edit]
- Searing Flames: Reduced energy cost to 5; increased burning duration to a flat 30 seconds; increased damage to 100...255...300.
- Ward Against Foes: Now affects spirits.
Assassin[edit]
- Mark of Insecurity: Reduced recharge to 5 seconds; increased stance/enchantment expiration to a flat 100%; no longer disables your non-assaasin skills.
- Palm Strike: Reduced recharge to 1 second.
- Shadow Form: This skill is now a stance; reduced recharge to 5 seconds; removed damage augmentation.
- Deadly Paradox: This stance now ends when you use a skill.
- Shadow Steps no longer have an aftercast delay.
Ritualist[edit]
- Spirits are now easily interruptible and cause exhaustion.
- You can now hold more than one set of ashes at a time.
- More than one weapon spell can be on a target at a time.
Paragon[edit]
- Paragons can no longer be used in PvP.
Dervish[edit]
- Wounding Strike:Now inflicts all conditions to target foe.
- Vow of Silence now only prevents enemy spells.
- Avatars are no longer disabled after activation.
Title Rebalancing[edit]
Fort Aspenwood[edit]
- Master Architect Gunther is now invulnerable.
Character-based titles[edit]
- All character-based titles are now account-wide.
Weapon Changes[edit]
- Scythe damage is now armor ignoring. Scythe attack rate increased to 1.33 seconds/attack.
Bug Fixes[edit]
- Fixed a bug that caused Dancing Daggers not to count as a lead attack when they miss the foe or are obstructed.
- Fixed a bug that caused Mending not to make warriors invulnerable.
- Fixed a bug that prevented players from using consumables in PvP.
- Fixed a bug that allowed only 2 heroes in Heroes' Ascent.
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to store money and materials in the Xunlai Chest. They have been removed accordingly.
- Fixed a bug that prevented Mending from stacking with itself when echo'd.
- Fixed a bug that allowed certain employees of ArenaNet and NCSoft to access and modify the Guild Wars skill database.
Miscellaneous[edit]
- Players can now travel back into Presearing. Simply whisper Prince Rurik in-game and tell him that you wish to go back to presearing. If he is offline, talk to Loremaster Ermenred in Lion's Arch instead. If he cannot help you, send craploads of support tickets to ArenaNet until they get fed up with you and send you back to presearing.
- Zaishen Keys can now be purchased for 100g from Loremaster Ermenred.
- A level 20 Aloe Seed now spawns outside Ascalon City (outpost) in presearing.
- Removed Summoning Sickness from the game.
