Explaination[edit]
- Normally, speed runs are supposed to be done with no external help (as this makes the runs much less interesteing, since many games can be completed much faster if you spend a great deal of resources, which is boring for the average player to collect, making the speedrun uninteresting). However, since pre-unlocking a select few skills (only up to 8) before the speed run starts is a very simple task, this should arguably be allowed. The skills can then be bought from the first skill trainer encountered. In addition, starting with one platinum makes a huge difference for the run (unlocks starting armor and skills), while at the same time being a very small investment.
- Starting out with Tomes is not included in this run (meaning that you can initally only gain access to Core skills and skills from your starting campaign)

Ranger[edit]
BOW FOCUS[edit]
- Expertise
- Optionals
- Wilderness Survival
- Optionals
1. Meteor - Good because of synergy with Serpent's Quickness. 1. Storm Chaser - For experienced players running the mission. 2. Dryder's Defenses 2. Distracting Shot - Even new players can use this effectively by just spamming it on Boss-foes, since it is powerful for disabling skills. 2. Antidote Signet
- Penetrating Attack - Could be better, but Dual Shot likely is better due to Ignite Arrows!
- The idea is that Penetrating attack should burn all your energy (especially since this is used in the early game where the expertise level is low), so it is convenient to use it toether with skills with long recharge time such as Whirling Defense.
BEAST FOCUS[edit]
- Optionals

- Notes
- Since this build doesn't make use of a weapon, you should wield a staff or focus to gain extra energy while using this build.
Necromancer[edit]
- Optionals
- Get these skills during early game (e.g first 8 levels): Animate Bone Horror + Healing Breeze + Bane Signet

Mesmer[edit]
- Optionals
Monk[edit]
- Optionals
- Heal Area - If a beginner player, use this skill (for self heal) instead of Vigorous Spirit
- Divine Intervention, Energy Tap
- Divine Healing Divine Healing
Warrior[edit]
- Optionals
- Sprint (Is useful if speedrunning without a party)
- "Watch Yourself!" - "For Great Justice!" is likely better through, due to the Staggering/Heavy Blow combo.
- Notes
- Since Crude Swing is the only skill that cost significant energy, Bonetti's defense energy gain is not particularly important. However, it is a good survivial skill: When you are injured, just use it and stop using other skills (this also makes using healing signet easier).
- Since this type of speedrun allows a very basic budget (to buy skills and armor), you should get a Stonefist Insignia for this run.
