Lilli Marlene was born in Tyria, Regent Valley, 18 years before the Searing. She grew up under guidance from the young Prince Rurik, as he favored the company of commoners, as opposed to that of the upper crust. Together with her friend Devona, Lilli Marlene explored all the lands close to Ascalon. A beautiful, fertile land of rolling green countryside and magnificent cities. Often followed by a little girl named Gwen, the two friends, Lilli Marlene and Devona would practice being great warriors, as though they were at the Academy where Prince Rurik learned, and taught his mighty trade. Then a dark cloud fell over the Kingdom of Ascalon, the Charr managed to find a way to get past the wall, and Ascalon City and the several estates surrounding it burned...the lands of Ascalon were blasted with a magic fire. Whole cities and guilds were destroyed in the searing, and the might of Ascalon was shattered...
2 years, and many adventures, later, Lilli Marlene returns to Ascalon, only to see how the survivors struggled to survive, being sieged by several foes, Charr, Grawl, Bandit or wild and foul animals, Ascalon was a dangerous place. However in the few safe hiding places that were left, many heroes stood up to protect their people and their country. Lilli Marlene decided to be one of these, and joined forces to push back the Charr once and for all, and cleanse the land of any evilness along the way.
Soon it became clear there was more to this than only the war in Ascalon, together with Prince Rurik, Lilli Marlene pays several visits to Ambassador Zain, only to find out more parts of the world are in trouble.
This troubling news combined with a series of events brings Lilli Marlene to great cities like Lions Arch, Amnoon Oasis, Droknar's Forge and Ember Light Camp on the fire island chain, unveiling a huge plot which could destroy the entire world. Together with several fierce heroes Lilli Marlene manages to put a halt to this and saves Tyria from it's doom.
These series of events made Lilli Marlene the warrior she is today, a couple of years later she travels to Cantha in order to aid Brother Mhenlo and Master Togo to try and prevent Shiro from bringing down the royal family. And if that's not enough she also is one of the heroes that traveled to Elona, the land of the golden sun, because of an evil God, who even ressurected the two enemies that caused so many troubles in Tyria and Cantha, The Lich and Shiro Tagachi. She saw a new God emerge and managed to bring down another one.
Lilli Marlene then travels in between the battle isles and the several continents, aiding other heroes where necessary and battling any foe that got in range of her axe. On a cloudy day in Lions Arch a massive earthquake opened up new passages and Lilli Marlene meets the person who's broken flute she has been carrying around with her for so long. The little girl Gwen grew up and is in dire need for help. One last time Lilli Marlene pulls out her axe and after many tough fights in dark dungeons and strange lands she manages to save the world once more.
It's been a hectic time for this hero, she now focuses on competitive play in Heroes Ascent, while she keeps aiding the Luxons in their ever lasting conflict with the Kurzicks. It's time to settle down, and rest, but when...when?
