The Guild of Shadows is a legendary mercenary guild led by Smoke In The Wind. It met with much success and is one of the few guilds which prosper to this day. It was founded somewhere around 1072 AE . They had, and may still have, their residence in the Fortress of Shadows inside the Kingdom of Orr, though its location is known by only the select few. Although independent, they have lent aid to both the Shining Blade and the White Mantle, on numerous occasions.
The guild emblem is a solid black cape.

According to Smoke In The Wind, Other known resident's of the guild include Flower In The North(During the Season of the Scion she uses the upper most tower to keep watch over the sea of sorrows.), Ego Sum A Monachus(Seen wandering through out the grounds and fortress on numerous occasions), and The Only Warrior(Anytime he feels like showing up, because,Quote:You cant really stop him.)
