Many, many years ago to the north, in faraway land, there was an enormous mountain made of rough, black stone. At sunset, on top of that mountain, a Flower blossomed every night that made whoever plucked it immortal. But no one dared go near it because its thorns were full of poison. Men talked amongst themselves about their fear of death, and pain, but never about the promise of eternal life. And every day, the flower wilted, unable to bequeath its gift to anyone... forgotten and lost at the top of that cold, dark mountain, forever alone. And at the last from the wilderness came, The strange girl one to whom the fellahs bowed, Silent and lean and cryptically proud, And wrapped in fabrics beautiful as sunset flame. She pressed forward never speaking a word, to the mountain, and there she climbed through thorns and rock and cold and ice, to the top where the flower bloomed, and as the sun was rising above the distant back ground of cascading mountains, she plucked the flower from its earthly home, and in doing do she became immortal, but not only immortal, she became the Mountain, the Sun, the Rain, the Air, and the Poison. In all essence she became that which is truly immortal, the Flower. The Flower knows the gate. The Flower is the gate. The Flower is the key and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in The Flower. The gate is understanding, the key is knowledge, the guardian is that which harbors both. Without the Gate, the Key is useless. Without the Key, the Gate can never be opened. To become the guardian you must posses both Key and Gate. To posses the Key and the Gate, you must become the Flower.
