--ShadowFog 13:06, 19 August 2008 (UTC)==Hey there!==

Hi, I kinda felt the same thing to be honest. The other pic felt a bit too far away, but you're right, this one feels a bit stretched. Weird though - I've not changed it; 'twas just taken at the Guild-Cape-Person.

And yeah, a group photo is needed. Kinda hard to get 60+ scouts at the same time though I'd imagine. Laters! Goldenboy|talk|contribs 17:09, 15 April 2007 (EDT)

Your sig[edit]

Please remove the sub tag. They are disallowed as you can see at GWW:SIGN. -- Gem (gem / talk) 12:49, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Oops. Must've missed that one. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 13:30, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Small observation, but is the <small> tag in your sig supposed to what I think it does, but doesn't? As far as I can see, what you need to do is use <span>...</span> instead, e.g. <span style="font-size:50%">[[User:Biscuits|Biscuits]]</span>, thus: Biscuits
Ciao, --BramStoker (talk, contribs) 13:39, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

No, it does exactly what it is supposed to do, thanks :). Although, some advice for you: use the <code> tags to show people example code. :p Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 14:31, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Not in explorer v6 ;-) seems to dislike the <small>tags. Thanks for the code note :) --BramStoker (talk, contribs) 18:14, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Bah, if people want to use a browser that doesn't comply to standards, they can deal with funny looking sigs. ;) Yours still has the small tag in it too btw. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 18:38, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Guild Image: SoT-Emblem.jpg[edit]

The image you recently uploaded (Image:SoT-Emblem.jpg) does not comply with the Guild Wars Wiki image naming policy and has been tagged for deletion. Please feel free to re-upload the image under a correct name. Thanks, -FireFox File:Firefoxav.png 09:36, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

That image is for use in the user namespace, not the guild namespace. The template containing it is contained in the guild namespace for convenience. See Guild Wars Wiki talk:Guild pages# Guild userboxes within Guild namespace for details. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 09:43, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Needs the Guild or User prefix, your choice. -FireFox File:Firefoxav.png 09:45, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
So it's an image for use on the user pages of all guild members. How do I do that? It seems like a conflict of policy. File:User Scouts Of Tyria emblem? Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 09:49, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
That'd be my guess -FireFox File:Firefoxav.png 09:53, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Sig image[edit]

Hey Biscuit. Could you reupload your signature image under Image:User Biscuit sig.png or some similar filename. User space policy dictates that all user images must be prefixed by "User <username>". I understand you haven't been around in a while, but if you could get to this as soon as possible, as your image may be marked for deletion. - BeX iawtc 07:29, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

I have replaced all major locations of your old signature image, and reuploaded it here: Image:User Biscuits sig.png. Could you please change your signature to use that image, thank you! - anja talk 12:21, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Done. Sorry about the delay, I spend most of my wiki time at GuildWiki, and just check in here to keep the guild page up to date. :) Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 11:23, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello[edit]

Hi, I was checking your page out and came across your mission tracker. Thats really cool, do you mind if I use the template? Old Man Of Ascalon 18:51, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Sure, go ahead. :) I can't claim much of the credit though, because it's just a slightly customised version of a version I used back on GuildWiki, and most of it is pre-written template code anyway. Don't forget[edit]

Key. Backsword 16:11, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

I gave up answering your arbitrary questions. If you have a serious concern about the content of that page, please describe in clearly and succinctly on the talk page, rather that asking random questions in response to every reply. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 16:20, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
You're then one advocating change, thus it is upon you to support it. You are obviously free to do what you prefer, but abandoning the discussion is abondoning your claim.
And that's not my prefered way of resolving things. It's better to seek a solution that will consider all concerns, if that is possible. It shouldn't be about seeking a 'win', it should be about havinga good article. Backsword 16:26, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Backsword, it seems you're in a minority of one in being unhappy with the way the page is at the moment and noone (including me) can understand what you're bothered about. I suggest that your current approach is not enabling people to engage effectively with you, and indeed I note that Auron has warned you on your talk page about your behaviour regarding talk:key, so I don't think you're going about things the right way if your aim is to improve the article.Cassie 16:37, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Seriously, you need to support your version if you want your concerns considered. Backsword 11:20, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
I don't have anything to support. You removed the link to Tombs for the Phantom key. I put it back to its original state. It's a fact that Phantom keys can be used in Tombs, as the consensus agrees, so that's how the article remains. I don't understand why we are still discussing this. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 14:25, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
No. That's not how reallity works. Facts are not a question about democracy. Something is either true or it's not. (There is also the other claim you made, the one you contradicted yourself on, but that's a formating matter.) Backsword 09:33, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
I don't even know what you're talking about. Phantom keys can be used in Tombs. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 10:03, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
I know what you're caliming. I'm saying you need to support it with evidence. Backsword 10:54, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm not claiming anything. The *original* issue was that I wanted to prevent you from incorrectly removing the link to Tombs from the Phantom Key entry on the Key page. No evidence was required, since it's always been the case that this is true, you were the one wanting to change the status quo by stating they could not be used in Tombs, which is incorrect. Anyway, this issue is resolved now, and this discussion is way over the top for such a minor issue! I'm not going to discuss it anymore. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 11:06, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
You can do so if you like. I will correct the article, however. Backsword 11:57, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm not going to do anything about it, since I'm just a player and don't work for ArenaNet. Before you start demanding e-mails I suggest you:
  1. Read what this wiki is all about
  2. Find the appropriate place to report your problem, and
  3. learn some correct spelling/grammar or at least use a spell check.

Since when???[edit]

Since when do you need a cd key to create a PlayNC account? I didn't. (edit) You just go here and create an account.--Wyn's Talk page Wyn 11:13, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

You don't need a key to create a PlayNC account, but you need one to be able to log into Guild Wars and access the in-game store. I think we were talking about different accounts. I meant in-game account. I'm don't think it's possible to log in to Guild Wars without an account with an active product key. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 12:07, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
My plaync account IS my game login (<username>@plaync)... and I didn't need a key to do so, or to purchase the games from the online store. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 12:09, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
I don't believe it is possible to log into guildwars just by creating a new PlayNC account. I think you have to also add a guild wars key to that account first. I'm at work now though, so I can't test it. I understood that a PlayNC account is your accout iwth PlayNC, not GuildWars, and it only becomes possible to use GuildWars, and thus the in-game store, once you add Guild Wars access buy purchasing an access key. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 12:13, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
No, you can log in using your plaync account and access the store if you have downloaded the client, or already have the client installed. It's how I got started with guild wars in the first place. A friend wanted to show me the game, so I downloaded the client, and he logged in with his account to show it to me. Then I created my PlayNC account and purchased the keys from the online store. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 12:19, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
:O I had no idea that worked. Seriously. Never heard of it, I thought you had to buy your first game through the PlayNC store (not in-game store) to be able to log in and such. You learn something new every day :P - anja talk 13:21, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
So I finally got around to testing this. I created and validated a new account via Wyn's link. Then I tried to log into Guild Wars with the details I created. I got code 227 saying it didn't recognise my account details. I then tried to go into the "Game Accounts" section on PlayNC, and there it just says simply "None", with a link "Back to account management". There's also this article, that says you must purchase a key before you can add a game account. Looks like you need a serial code unless I missed something? Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 22:18, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Weird, cuz I've never bought a cd.... --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 22:21, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Did you buy the first key from the PlanNC online (website) store, rather than the in-game store? That's how I got started on my 2nd account. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 22:25, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
It's possible. I don't really remember anymore... I just know I don't have any of the cd's, and I created my account directly at plaync, and it's what I use to log in to the game with. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 22:33, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Ah well. I guess that clears it up then. You don't need a key to make a PlayNC Master Account, but you do to make a Guild Wars account (even if it shares the same name as the master account). So my advice to 177.210 was correct. ;) Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 22:39, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Censorship views[edit]

Hello, just a wee message to enquire as to your comment on my RFA a wee bit further. This isn't to disagree with you by the way or to attempt to change your mind, it's just to help clarify for my own piece of mind. I'm quite a libertarian when it comes to censorship. If you are referencing my discussion with Misery on Gaile's page. My intent in that discussion was to get Gaile to at least concede that their were elements of GW which could be construed in an offensive manner to certain individuals and then point out that to ban people then for describing those same game mechanics was somewhat hypocritical. I did however get somewhat sidetracked by the discussion with Misery, as I enjoy playing devils advocate in those kinds of discussions and I am aware that I came across as being in favour of rampant censorship, thus my final statement to clarify my actual stance in the matter. I myself however do not condone censorship for minor things. More major things, such as directly aimed offensive comments and the like, I do feel should be censored as they serve no purpose other than to offend and hurt people, but other things such as naming your characters things that define a profession (see paragon), I feel are ludicrous to be banned for. If that however is the issue you have with my views, I am more than happy to discuss this with you, as I do find discussions on topics such as these both informative and interesting. Warm regards -- Salome User salome sig2.png 19:19, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

That's a lot of words. I made it about half-way through. :p The vote was because I remember being exasperated reading your responses in that discussion. If you were playing devils advocate it obviously didn't do you any favours from this individual. :) Anyway looks like your request got granted anyway, so enjoy your new tools! Mystery edit[edit]

Hey, I saw you did not understand the edit I made on the Guild:Scouts Of Tyria page. It is quite simple really. All guilds that have not received an edit for over three months are listed on a "guilds waiting to be tagged as inactive" list Category:inactive guilds. However, per policy guild pages that have active websites/forums should not be tagged as inactive. Since making an edit is the only way to remove the guild from the "waiting to be tagged" list, I will make a tiny token edit (like add a space) to guilds with active websites to remove them from the list. Hope that makes sense :) --Lensor (talk) 12:57, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

I was more confused about the "made forum active" bit of your edit summary. And I don't like pointless spaces, so I reverted it. :p A noble crusade you are on. I usually just wait until the inactive notice gets put up by some dutiful wiki-ite and remove it. :-) Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 17:40, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Yes, for avid wiki users reverting a space is pretty much the same as reverting an inactive tag, but for those who do not visit the wiki that often a wrongful tag can do a lot of damage before it is noticed. I will make the message clearer in the future, as it is supposed to be understood as that the listed forum is found active, not that I did something to the forum ;) --Lensor (talk) 07:09, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
