Daggers
Heya! Heh, I never noticed that we put "Both Hands" on dagger articles before. Although, having looked at some random dagger articles, it looks to be about 50/50; some have it, others don't. If we're going to put it, maybe we should add it to the articles that don't have it? Oh, and FIRST! :P Kokuou 21:55, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- And here I was, prepared to thank you for being mature with this 'first' business. lol. Really, though, this sounds like a job for... "People with time to kill!" So, yeah. I'm going to go ahead and see what I can do. Since GWW:UNIQUE#Stats says to copy the whole tooltip, I would imagine there's precedent for this. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 22:01, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Done with the unique daggers. That took...59 minutes. I'm smooth. And there were only three daggers which didn't need stat editing! --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 23:01, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- That's very close to 50/50. Calor 23:13, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

- Ah. Calor 23:51, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Nice job! I was actually going to do some myself, but unfortunately work comes first. I knew that it was written down somewhere which information we were supposed to copy, but I couldn't find it anywhere, so thanks for the link. (You didn't think you were going to get away that easily with a blank talk page, did you? :D) Kokuou 20:24, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, your welcome. Anything to prevent me from studying for Finals :) No, but I really was finished for the day. And, unfortunately, human communication is a necessity in wikying, so I guess I wasn't going to have a blank page for long. Even robots are known to have troll aberrations, so I guess it doesn't get much better than this. Wow, I sure am laughing at that more than anyone else will.
- Really, though, after Finals over here I (possibly we) should go through unique bows and such for similar formatting. If you want to go ahead and try to catch up, that's fine too. But I don't think catching up is possible! Mua ha ha ha. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 20:31, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Jewish Iconism
I thought about the passage scrolls and the res scroll but they don't show up well against the black background that the wiki or IE6 is putting behind the items. --Star Weaver 18:41, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- D'oh. Rampager's Insight is awesome as a torah. Since it's two rollers, Berserker's Insight not so much. Completely forgot about those, which is sad, because there's one in my main's inventory right now. Thanks so much! Now I don't need one of my userboxes, though... oh well. Mind if I use this one as is and credit it to you? Don't think there's much I would change. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 18:45, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Go right ahead, change anything if you want to anyway; I just crank out possible userboxen when I'm bored anyway. :D --Star Weaver 18:50, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Cats
So let me get this straight... cats actually eat food? --Shadowphoenix 03:10, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I can assume so. I put some ambiguous meat-smelling bits in a bowl, my cat comes and nibbles a bit, and then I leave for the day. When I come back, the food is all gone, and I need to fill it again. However, there is a very good chance that my cat does not really eat it, though I cannot prove my suspicions. As far as I can prove, cats eat food. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 13:28, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

On oni's page, you asked what an RD does. Hint: Search for "sway" on pvxwiki.
And Hai2u. -- NUKLEAR IIV 11:06, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- I did search, actually, and I did find some Ebon Dust things. Escape Scythe only popped up once though, with no link to Sway. That's sure seems strange to me, as that seems like a feature of Sway. That should be fixed somehow. *sigh* Maybe it's time for a PvX account, too... --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 16:17, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

You are welcome. -- NUKLEAR IIV 16:26, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, thanks, but I actually already found them. My gripe is that there's no evidence of a link between the two, which seems a bit critical. They aren't exactly the same build, the Sway one fills in the optional skill, but it's practically the same but reordered. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 16:31, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Move vandalism
To answer your question, no, rollback isn't possible for moves. Also, thanks for helping out. - Tanetris 17:58, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, your welcome. I have another question, though. Is there a way to mass-select and delete the pages created? This kind of interests me. Vandalism isn't an annoyance, it's way to learn how it gets shoved in their faces! Also, you can find the IP being used for this, right? --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 18:00, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- +1 Happy points -- I saw the move log fold in RC and well, it's beyond my understanding of wiki to know wtf was going on there :D. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Star Weaver (talk • contribs) at 18:02, 10 June 2008 (UTC).
- Sign on mah talk page, please. Also, I'm going into my contribs to see the pages needing deletion, and I've moved over 100 of those things, if I understand the double credit thing right. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 18:04, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- (double-ec) Nope, no way to mass-delete pages. It's easy enough to look at the move log and pick out the blue links that should be red, though. Also, when blocking each user it automatically blocks the IP as well. The vandal would seem to be using proxies. - Tanetris 18:05, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- I would have guessed that the IP gets blocked, but it helps to know. I think that if we can track it and publically announce where it's coming from, that would have a good chance of being a deterrant, like I've seen before when the source was mentioned. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 18:07, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Just a btw, looks like its R5 not R2. If its going to be tagged with a code in place of an explanation, it doesn't help if its not the right code. Gj, though—♥Jedi♥Rogue♥ 18:15, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Um, guys... he's the one making the spam pages and then marking them for deletion himself. -_- -- ՄօՒւեի (talk•contribs) 18:16, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Take a closer look, Vorith. He's not "making" them, they're the leftover result of moving pages back to their original locations from when a vandal moved them to random names. See Special:Logs/move. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 18:20, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

- (Edit conflict x2) There's an R5? *search* Well, it's quite obvious that this is stuff that's unnecessary, but thanks. While this sort of thing would fall under 'implausible,' R5 does seem better. I guess I should use R5 from now on for the logs, but it doesn't seem to serve much purpose other than records, which I guess is all I'm doing. These ec's are keeping me from tagging! --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 18:19, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

- (Edit conflict) The whole system seems like overkill anyway. It's not like its not immediately obvious why the page should be deleted. Any sysop could view the list of the vandals contribs and go down the list deleting without the articles being tagged at all. The tagging is only really useful here because the pages were redirects and its on less click to delete (b/c the tag keeps it from redirecting you). —♥Jedi♥Rogue♥ 18:23, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- It's easier to go to the Special:Logs/move -- the links there go to the actual destination and don't follow the redirect. -- Brains12 \ talk 18:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict x2) Again, lol. Thanks for checking your facts first! Sarcasm that will probably land me in a heated debate aside, this little discussion took me out of the loop until the admins deleted the rest without my tagging. Thanks a lot, guys. Wait, no, that's more sarcasm. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 18:26, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- For the most part, yes, tagging vandal contributions is unnecessary as typically people doing cleanup will just be going down the list in Special:Contributions or Special:Logs/move. Most of the time the only things that need to be tagged are those that are missed for some reason or other. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 18:27, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) I don't think the system is really designed for mass spamming like this, but more like categorizing isolated events, probably done in Good Faith. I just copy-pasted this, so it really wasn't much of a difference. Sorry for this double-post, I wanted to get the above down, as it was a response to an earlier thing. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 18:29, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

- Oh actually, the idea is that only we know it, and it's not a full language, it's slang. I, the designer of the slang, and new calendar, wanted to cut away the regular "oh hi, how r u" bullshit we use day-to-day, but others didn't. So I made it more of a free form sorta thing. With utopian words, based on names being like, (jack, would be Jaq, mike would be Maik) the sentence I told you was:

- "Hello. (space) (space) How are you (and) what are you up to? Goodbye, farewell (respectable goodbye)," and I must admit that "et" I just threw in there for the lulz, meaning, "OK?". For an idea of how I'm making it, basically I don't like saying such common words with so many syllables. So, o-kay is just "et" because it sounds like it could be, "okay?" and is only one syllable.
- What do you mean by romantic language? This could get interesting. Vael Victus 01:55, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- Finally, my language hobby pays off! All modern languages have some root language, from which is derived grammar, word roots, and such. European languages are divided along Romantic and Germanic languages, the Romantic derived from Latin, the language of the Roman empire, and the Germanic, obviously, derived from early German. While English is seen as a Germanic language, since Middle English was influenced by Middle Ages French to produce modern English, we have a Romantic influence in English.
- One of the ways to tell the root language is by common words. Most Romantic languages use "de" or "di" for "of," or some form of "en" for "in," or "et" for "and," which is what I was trying to identify your slang with. Heh, this reminds me a bit of A Clockwork Orange. Well, hope you enjoyed my boring language stuff. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 13:23, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Dash
Heya. I wouldn't call the dash you removed from The Geomancer's Test to be informal but just downright wrong in that usage: "If X, then Y" is never really "If X -- then Y"? I'd also mention that the free-floating hyphen style is typographically suboptimal compared to a — or at least a -- but then I'm picky :D. Good catch anyhow. --Star Weaver 19:02, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I meant to call it a hyphen, but I couldn't quite remember that critical nomenclature. The point was that hyphens are generally inferior to commas, especially in such a usage that so desperately cried out for a comma. Thanks. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 19:30, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

I would guess it's not Jade Flats (Kurzick), as that one hasn't been touched since November. Or maybe you mean The Jade Quarry? Revert on Prismatic Staff link in PvP rewards
The green and the reward staff are almost certainly not the same, hence the change in link. The PvP reward Prismatic Staff is most likely the staff version of the Prismatic Scepter, aka the skin used by Khepket's Refuge and a few other green monk staves. Jennalee 14:58, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Besides, don't you people have a policy to split articles if they are about two different things? Jennalee 15:06, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- That's why I left that statement in the summary. I said to myself, "Now, it's quite unreasonable that a user with an extensive list of productive contributions would be so stubborn for no reason. Maybe we should try to reason this out if it happens again." If I had taken a better look at the Prismatic Staff page, I would have seen that the skin was Portal Staff's, and not a unique skin like the other page I was looking at.
- Well, now that you've convinced me, let's not leave that link red, eh? Could you make a screenshot of it? --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 15:54, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
