yeh I know, I just didn't like having a messy non wiki link in the box :) --Lemming64 18:29, 14 May 2007 (EDT)
Ok well I tried it again and I think I can live with it.. for now maybe :) --Lemming64 18:33, 14 May 2007 (EDT)
Why not plainlinks it? I know it still has the light blue colour, perhaps we can get an addition to the internal CSS, adding a plainlinks for use with links which point into the wiki to mask them like regular internal links? --Jamie (Talk Page) 19:04, 14 May 2007 (EDT)
Sorry I don't understand, what is plainlinks? --Lemming64 21:04, 14 May 2007 (EDT)
class="plainlinks" gets rid of the little widget at the end and formats it like any other link. - BeX 09:58, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Guild pages

Do we really have to tag these attempts at creating guild pages as "delete"? Couldn't we just tag them as "guild-stub" and "guild"? These are people who are being exposed to the wiki for the first time, and I think we'd like to teach them how to contribute effectively. -- Mike O'Brien

I guess you are right for some of the cases, however, a lot of these articles literally are nonsense. I will try and refrain from adding delete tags to the ones that seem legit though. --Lemming64 01:33, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Bork Bork formatting

What kind of formatting would the Bork!_bork!_bork! article be placed under? It's not really covered by anything in the format page, as far as I can tell. I'm not disagreeing that the article needs to be cleaned up, just trying to get an idea of what it should look like. (To be honest, I'm not entirely convinced that the article needs to be there at all, but figured the links might as well work since it's there) --Nkuvu 06:36, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

I agree I have no idea what formatting should be applied specifically, however it does need a cleanup, if it is to stay. Whilst it seems a little innocuous having an article about a language option, this specific case of an in game language option might be useful because some people who are not familiar with the muppets might look at that and think, wtf mate? In which case having the article on the wiki may clear up that question. However if you feel it should be deleted by all means tag it. I didn't write it :) --Lemming64 15:56, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Not saying it should be deleted, for the same reasons you noted. I didn't write the article, either. I'd be willing to clean it up if I had any idea what it should look like, but since I don't... I'll leave it to more experienced wiki users than I (which isn't hard). ^_^ --Nkuvu 19:15, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Character Pages?

Hello Lemming64

Where do I have to put character pages?

They are neither allowed in user-namespace nor in guild-namespace... so where to put them?

Thanks for your advise!

Greetings, Coacoacoa 11:48, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

If these are your characters, than they belong into your user page (or subpage). If these are characters of other people, they should register to add these informations to their own userpage. You are not allowed to create user-pages for users that are not registered here. - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 13:03, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Sorglos is correct, pages about your own characters belong in your userspace, you should not be making articles for other peoples characters. --Lemming64 00:36, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Deletion tagging

Isn't it irritating that no one will know about your contribution to this task as no logs are visible to people of edits made to deleted stuff? My deletions are shown in the deletion log, but your deletion taggings are visible to admins only. :P -- Gem (gem / talk) 12:36, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Yes, but it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :) --Lemming64 12:36, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Miniature userbox

I am all for moving "Category:Miniature collector" to "Category:Users who collect", i did not think much about the name actualy. Yours is much better. --Bob 23:51, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

"Protected" Guild pages

Heh, that had been bothering me too - until I realized that it was just from people copying the Guild:Example Guild page's code. I asked Gem to protect that due to the large amount of vandalism it's caused, but it seems a decent number of people don't know what that part does ;) Maybe I'll get an admin to add a comment in there or something. =P MisterPepe talk 02:32, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Ah that explains it, is there a clever way to perhaps hide the category code yet still retain the categorisation? --Lemming64 20:51, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Copying old guildwiki

I just noticed on the Azure shadow page you just copied the old guildwiki. Please don't do that since it is a copyright violation AND the old wiki uses other mechanics and templates than the new one. You can also take a look at Guild_Wars_Wiki:Formatting/NPCs for a guide of the new mechanics for NPC/Enemy pages. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Nachdenki .

SIGN YOUR COMMENTS, AND PLEASE USE PROPER CAPATILIZATION! By the way, he did not make that page, he edited a link, ON the page. Please look through the history before you make such wild claims. - File:Drago-sig.gif Drago 00:36, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Please sign your comments and also check the history, I did not create that page, I added one line to make an image work. If it is in violation of copyright then add the {{copyvio}} template. I am fully aware of all the rules in this matter. --Lemming64 00:37, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Sorry for the missing signature. I know it sounds weird but last time i checked the history of the page there was only your name to be found ... but actually you're right, it was my bad. i'm sorry. -- Nachdenki 09:39, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
The page history and recent changes have been working weird the last days (or weeks?), it's a reported wiki bug. - anja talk (contribs) 09:45, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

enable <math> support?

I am not really sure who to ask, so i'll try it here. I was making a page which requires several formulas: Match_win_percentage. So I wanted to use the <math> tags to make the formulas look better an easier to understand as described here http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Formula . But I noticed that this function is not enabled. It describes at this page that to have math rendered, you have to enable it in LocalSettings.php.

My question is, is it possible to enable the formula support? Jurrit

Guild Wars Wiki:Requests for technical administration is where you want to go. --Valshia 17:21, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Thx, btw I saw someone already put a request in for it. --Jurrit 17:59, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Yes it is already on the table to be enabled, hopefully it will as it would be quite useful in the situations like the one you mentioned. --Lemming64 22:32, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Raisu

Heya. Just curious, did you get Game link:Mission 225 by clicking through from the in-game link? Asking because Game link:Mission 233 is already pointing to Raisu Palace. --Dirigible 21:14, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Yeh I clicked through in game as I was just in there. Thought it was odd it didnt exist. --Lemming64 21:15, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Hmm, just noticed that someone created Game link:Outpost 225 pointing to Raisu Palace (outpost), even though there's already Game link:Outpost 233 pointing to that same place. Strange that there's two links to the Raisu mission and outpost (maybe even explorable?) Or maybe 233 is supposed to be something else, and not Raisu. --Dirigible 21:19, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
That is weird, I think we need someone from anet to solve this one. Unless we go through and try clicking everywhere ourselves. --Lemming64 21:23, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Just read this on RC. According to Guild_Wars_Wiki:Game_integration 233 is correct and 225 is missing completely. But missions 248 to 255 are also missing, so this could just mean nothing. User Der moon sig.png Der moon 21:30, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Addition: Just noticed that Game link:Mission 327 and Game link:Mission 226 point both to Imperial Sanctum. I haven't looked for other examples. User Der moon sig.png Der moon 21:35, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Hard mode and normal mode? I was on hard mode for that particular raisu palace run. --Lemming64 21:36, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Just tried out Imperial Sanctum in hard mode and normal mode - both pointed to Game link:Mission 226. User Der moon sig.png Der moon 21:41, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Bork! bork! bork!

What exactly needs to be cleaned up on that page? We don't really have any formatting guides for describing lamguages.. - anja talk (contribs) 20:33, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Search me, it definitely could be improved though. --Lemming64 02:23, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Then improve it ;) Or at least tell me what can be improved so I can do it :) Because I still don't see what else could be there.. :P - anja talk (contribs) 09:26, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
I have no idea, examples, categories, related articles etc. either that or delete it for being pointless. --Lemming64 11:20, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Lil' Help?

Can anyone help me with my userpage (i've never done one before) Thanks!--The Mattster

The first thing to remember is to keep to the policy at GWW:USER then it is just a matter of being creative. Most members don't mind if you copy elements of their own page as long as you give them credit. The best way to find people's pages is to look at the Special:Recentchanges page and click on people's names, then you get an idea of other people's pages. You should find quite a variety. --Lemming64 16:21, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Canst thou do me a favour?

Can you leave me a msg on my talk page? Doesn't matter what it's about. I just need something to show me the new message box. :o Testing some .css! :D - BeX 01:39, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
