Userboxes
Hey, saw you had a question about userboxes, so here goes... For generic userboxes, you want to do:

So, lets say that you want to make a box for the guild... so you would do this.

Which would turn out as:
Nbajammer is a member of Example Guild |
Where the x-color is, you can substitute something like a-color, e-color, me-color for the professions, or color names such as red, or hex codes for the color. The image could be the image of the cape, etc. If you wanted, you could make a template, I won't really go into detail on that other than to say it's not really that hard...if you want to know, just leave a message on my talk page. Windtalker 23:49, 8 April 2007 (EDT)
Um.. to me looks like the code is still here... not sure what you were asking about so clarify if you want. psst next time preview your post to make sure you are actually posting inside the table...Windtalker 17:41, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
Now that I have a userbox that I'm happy with, it's dangling on the side there. How can i get it moved up so that there are 3 rows of 2? I keep playing with the code and one is always hanging down like that.Nbajammer 13:48, 20 May 2007 (EDT)
User Images
Hi, would you take a look at the policy about User Images at GWW:USER? You need to add a tag to every image you upload in your personal namespace, as well as specifically name the picture. Else the images will get deleted without further notice :) Regards, Arduinna 15:33, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
I was still retrieving in-game data to finish editing the page and did not want to lose my work, so I saved it. Thus my page was not yet finished, however it is now and the tags have been applied accordingly. Nbajammer 16:18, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Sig Code
How do some people have a little picture and colored name in their signed comment? I'd like to make one for myself so I dont look so...bleh.. Nbajammer 21:55, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- On Special:Preferences, in the box saying Nickname, type the wiki-code for what you want your sig to look like, and check the box saying "raw signatures". —Ebany Salmonderiel 14:10, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- Just one little thing: you can't use some templates like w-color, so you have to put in the colours directly. —Ebany Salmonderiel 14:13, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
How woudl I do that?
How would I archive it then?
Please put reply on my page.

GWW:SIGN#Images
Hey, please read GWW:SIGN#Images. More specifically, the 3rd point on it. Basically, it means that you can't use as in your signature unless you upload it under the name File:User Nbajammer signature.png. — ク Eloc 貢 15:11, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- That's what I get for trying to change it at 95% asleep at 1am. And, while helping with another issue. Fixed. Nbajammer 17:26, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Kepkhet's Refuge
sry, i thought kepkhet's greenie would have been older than the furnace update :P i did not play gw before, never saw Prophet's Path without Kepkhet or Grenth's Footprint without Furnace. —ZerphaThe Improver 18:09, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- you answered on my page, so i'll also do so (that way it's easier to notice if one answered :P): Ok, thank you for the information. I started playing GW about two years ago (my first char should have 2nd birthday the next few days). When i reached the Crystal Desert Kepkhet already shooed away the previous farm monster victims (that was a common kydra or minotaur farming place afaik...) —ZerphaThe Improver 20:03, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Archiving
This is nothing big, just a suggestion for future reference. When archivng, it sometimes help to mark it as a minor edit, just to avoid RC clutter as much as possible. Help:Archive, has more info on that, if u wanna read it :o) --Shadowphoenix 06:21, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- That page doesn't say anything about the type of edit, only how to go about actually doing the archive. In this case it was about 95% of my talk page to a blank archive page made previously for this very process, so I don't see that as a minor edit at all. That'd be akin to making a new page which is a major edit. Nbajammer 06:27, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- Its not a prob. you can archive all u want without ticking that button, it was just a suggestion (since most users do that anyway, I thought I would mention it) --Shadowphoenix 06:33, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- Now, had it been like 1 section then yeah minor edit for sure. It's not like my talk page is one of those multi-page essays like some people's pages seem to be >.>. Nbajammer 06:41, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, I wonder whos page is like that >.> lol --Shadowphoenix 06:44, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

- How would archiving be considered a minor edit? And how would like one edit clutter up RC? — ク Eloc 貢 00:36, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- My train of thought, Eloc. Nbajammer 01:18, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, generally, any edit that is made to a talk page is usually ticked to be a minor edit. I think that any contributes to the User namespace as well as any of the talk namespaces, should be marked as a minor edit (since most ppl already do that anyway); and archiving should be treated no different. However, like I said, it was just a suggestion; and I would rather not let this discussion keep going. --Shadowphoenix 01:31, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, wanna start a discussion Nbajammer? — ク Eloc 貢 01:38, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- I don't see a need, really. I treat all edits the same - large edit = major edit. Small edit = minor edit. I am of the belief that's the way it was intended to be, and that's the way I used it. Nbajammer 02:13, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Alliance status update
I just updated the guild page to reflect the fact that we're currently no longer in an alliance. I know that later this week we'll likely be joining the BaR alliance, but I'm bored at work. ;P --tero 14:11, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

- Yeah, I left a message on Kaseth's talk, and he responded, but he still hasn't changed anything. --tero 20:16, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Spoiler about Sylvari
Saying that the birth of the Sylvari is a spoiler for Guild Wars II is like saying that a picture of a Charr is a spoiler for Guild Wars. It doesn't spoil or reveal anything. 129.237.52.176 18:06, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
- The item in question references the way in which Sylvari are born into the world, so no it isn't the same thing as a picture of a Charr is a spoiler for Guild Wars, sorry. Nbajammer 20:10, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
- I suppose you're right, sorry for the confusion. 129.237.52.176 21:11, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Sig image
Hey, Nbajammer! I just noticed that your signature image is 20px by 20px, so I think you'll have to scale it down to 19x19 so that it complies with GWW:SIGN. :D --Kokuou 02:00, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Can you explain the reversion here? If its a screenshot, it should have a screenshot tag on it...unless that is a really good paint image. -- Wandering Traveler 05:15, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- It's not a screenshot. It's a picture of my character taken at the character select screen, not "in game" as stated in GWW:IMAGE. Nbajammer 05:19, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Ehh, to me thats considered in-game, as you're technically inside the game client, but I'm not sure. Hmm... -- Wandering Traveler 05:23, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Something like this, where you are looking at a character and the surrounding environment or otherwise doable by being logged in as a specific character, is "in game" going by what GWW:IMAGE reads. Nbajammer 05:25, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm...I'm still not sure, but that makes sense. -- Wandering Traveler 05:26, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Character load screen is in game as opposed to from an outside source, so yes, it gets the screenshot tag. -- Wyn/talk 05:35, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- See 1, specifically the 2nd bullet. It's not "in game" if I'm not actually in the game able to do anything. Please stop reverting my changes. If you want the screenshot tag to apply, then the policy needs to be re-written and re-approved accordingly. Until that happens, I'm asking you and everyone else to stop reverting my changes. Nbajammer 05:37, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

(RI) I'm not wikilawyering with anyone - I'm going by what the policy, aka GWW:IMAGE specifically states. It clearly states "in game". I was not aware one could play the game from the character select screen. Nbajammer 05:41, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Uh, arguing that "in game" means loaded into a specific character is wikilawyering because the general consensus is that character selection is effectively in-game. And in the simplest sense it is a screenshot of, well, your screen at that time. We just tag them as such when it is from the game client. --JonTheMon 05:45, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'm telling you that any image that is captured within the game interface, whether you are loaded into an area or not is a screenshot and needs to be tagged as such. Take 24hrs to let it sink in. -- Wyn/talk 05:47, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- What's the point of rving a screenshot tag anyway, other than if something is blatantly not a screenshot? --Riddle 05:51, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- The screenshot tag indicates that the image is ArenaNet copyrighted because it comes from their game. By not applying that tag to an image from the character screen you are saying that it is not an ArenaNet copyrighted image. Can you get that image from anyplace OTHER than the game of Guild Wars? No, so it carries the ArenaNet copyright. Did you get it from an outside source (website, magazine article, fansite kit)? No, so that means it should not be tagged as ArenaNet image. That leaves a screenshot. -- Wyn/talk 05:55, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

- The topic was (hopefully) resolved per e-mail communication between me and Nbajammer and the block was removed. poke | talk 08:15, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- The character select screen, the opening title screen, and in fact everything that Guild Wars client displays is part of the game right down to the update screen. "The game" refers to the entire program, not just the parts where you consider yourself playing. If you feel this is unclear, you are perfectly entitled to bring up a clarification on GWW:IMAGE's talk page, but not to break 1RR. The other people here were trying to help you tag an image correctly, and referring to their efforts as "vandalism", even if they were wrong (which they're not), is both inaccurate and fairly insulting to them. I would suggest apologizing. - Tanetris 15:33, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
