Skill Errors

I have found at least one incident where a skill does not work as its supposed to, i.e. Cultist's Fervor. This skill does not function properly, as the % health you actually sacrifice per spell casted does not equate to what it should be. For example, with 18 Blood Magic (16 base and 2 added with awaken the blood) Cultist's Fervor describes a sacrifice of 12% max health with each spell casted, however, the actual health sacrificed is 17.8%. I tested this out varying the max health my character had and found that with 520 max health, 93 health is sacc'd, with 475 / 85 health sacc'd, and with 425 / 76 health sacc'd. The interesting thing here is that when I don't use Awaken the Blood, and leave Blood Magic at 16, the skill description says 14% health will be sacrificed, and the numbers now become 73/520, 66/475, and 60/475, which are actually 14%. So what we see here is that you're actually getting punished by using Awaken the Blood, instead of getting the benefit of having higher Blood Magic. Am I on to something here or just missing something? Thanks!

Might wanna read the description of Awaken the Blood more carefully. — Teh Uber Pwnzer 03:33, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) First, this is not the best place to post a question like this. It is much better to post on the appropriate skill's discussion page. Anyway, it sounds like the skills are working like they should since Awaken the Blood causes +50% sacrifice and that takes Cultist's Fervor from 12% to 18% health sacrifice on as you describe. -- Inspired to ____ 03:41, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Client bug

Just reporting a client bug, I can't ping conditions and hexes on me and I can't change districts, however I can still ping anything else, such as skill bars. 80.193.1.106 12:19, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Could you report it here please? Thanks! --Regina Buenaobra User Regina Buenaobra sig.png 18:00, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Primeval Armor

I'm not sure if this is in the right place, and if its not I'm sorry, but its not really a suggestion or a bug. I recently bought a set of Warrior Primeval Armor and to my suprise saw that the armor was 15,000 gold to craft (-materials). Now this didn't really matter, but I later realized that the armor had cost 15,000 yet came with no mods on it. I figured this was due to the addition of inscriptions being sold separate from the armor itself, but I then realized that the armor had still cost 15,000 as opposed to 10,000, as most armor had been reduced to. Is this just because of the prestige of end-game armor or is this an oversight? Just curious, -Warior Kronos User Warior Kronos Sig.jpg 19:56, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Almost all Prestige armors cost 15k a piece. It's true, there are a few Nightfall armors which costs 5k and 10k a piece and all eotn armors cost 10k a piece, but the standard price of an elite armor is 15k a piece. It's not called 15k armor for nothing ;) --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 20:09, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Haha, I could've sworn I remembered all armor being lowered to 15k, but then again, I haven't bought armor in a while. Thanks for the clarification. -Warior Kronos User Warior Kronos Sig.jpg 22:29, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
All Prophecies and Factions elite armours are 15k (excluding materials). Nightfall elite Sunspear armour is 15k, Vabbian is 5k, Ancient 10k and Primeval 15k. They've been like that since release and haven't been changed. However, standard armour of Prophecies and Factions used to cost 1.5k but were lowered to 1k after the inherent to insignia switch. Nightfall started with 1k standard armour as they needed upgrading with insignia from release. --Pling! \ Brains12 22:52, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Prestige armor never got a price drop, regular max Prophecies and Factions got reduced from 1.5k to 1k when insignia were made universal, and non-max Prophecies and Factions likewise got a price drop. -- Gordon Ecker 23:38, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
They kept the 15k prices for Prophecies and Factions prestige sets because, being prestige sets, they are meant to be a gold sink. So the gold you save by being able to salvage the runes with perfect kits is added to the armor directly. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 10:32, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

On this note, why are there no Primevil armors for Assassins or ritualists? --Wolf 14:25, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

pre searing

..The most glitchiest place in all of tyria..scenery disapearing when you move around at points the wall disapears in a few places. i know for a fact it isnt just me becuase my friends have the same problem so i was just wondering if there was a way to fix it?

Its old popup textures, not a glitch (I think?)-Warior Kronos User Warior Kronos Sig.jpg 21:36, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Another party size glitch...

Take a look at this please: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3979378#post3979378 and have someone remove the instructions on how to do it at the bottom ASAP please....-Ë×ţřεмəόήє 19:02, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

OMG, 20 ppl and they still fail that mission? That's like the easiest mission in the RoT. They deserve something worse than a ban for that :P --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 19:07, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
That reminds me of WoW's 40 man raid teams. Have a 40 man raid team storm through DoA to wipe Mallyx within seconds. Owut 19:12, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
I PM'ed him, he removed it....I can't e-mail regina, so I'm not sure how/who to report this too....-Ë×ţřεмəόήє 19:13, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
(Edit conflict x2) well it's the hardest of the three RoT missions imo, but i agree, failing that with 20 ppl is amazing^^ And extremeone is right, the description should be removed, otherwise many other players will going to exploit this bug. (I didn't even know there's a /leave command 0ô) —ZerphatalkThe Improver 19:14, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
I forgot that one too. Owut 19:15, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
AFAIK that bug doesn't work, since the /leave command just means you leave the party you're in. Owut 19:25, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Did you actually try it? A few have, and so far no one has said "it doesn't work"....-Ë×ţřεмəόήє 19:27, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
I don't actually know how to carry the thing out, I thought the only way to do it was by extreme lag and heroes loading in late. And also, no, I'm not dumb enough to get perma'd for testing. Owut 19:35, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Exactly, I would try it myself, but I'd risk my good standing with ArenaNet....-Ë×ţřεмəόήє 19:43, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Could post how to do it on a sock account here and see how many people can confirm if it is real or not =P Would get a few idiots banned... CALL IT 'THE GREAT CLEANSING OF GUILD WARS', and remember it as the day when all the idiots got perma'd, like they did on facepunch that one time that practically everyone heard of or knows about. Owut 19:44, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Hah, I don't think so....Anyway, it's reported to support now, so it should be fixed soon regardless....-Ë×ţřεмəόήє 19:47, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
I would seriously just spread this around kama AD, ED or ID, and watch how many idiots end up getting perma'd. Might do the game a favour, if it became so widespread that the people smart enough to not do it would be the only people left in the game. I'd rather have my RA full of skilled players, thanks. Owut 19:49, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, because ED has little morals, must mean they're all stupid. Vael Victus Pancakes. 14:00, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that's right, if someone's told not to do it and still does it, then they are stupid. Well, that's how Hezzy thinks anyway. You KNOW not to abuse bugs and glitches, and if you do, you're stupid. Owut 16:29, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
If you look at the party composition, they went in with the standard tank/nuke heal setup (the players were warriors and dervishes, with ele and monk heroes, and master of whispers perhaps as their hexer), and fought in the center, so it makes sense that impossible odds could have killed them easily when shiro uses it. Tambora 01:36, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
What happened to empathy, SV, SS, insidious, inept, enfeeble, etc? imo /fail Owut 16:29, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Yes, that's where the tank/nuke/heal screwup comes from.Tambora 19:31, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Bug fixed already. Owut 22:42, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
