That's not really vandalism...regardless of the IPs other edits... -- My Talk Lacky 08:24, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

Don't fool yourself. That's vandalism. I can't believe you would even mention it. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 08:56, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
I re-removed it. -Auron 08:56, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
It's a "Hey" message, not the other countless "WTS Minis" etc., how is it vandalism? -- My Talk Lacky 09:07, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
Are you seriously asking this? I thought you were just kidding at first, but now I'm starting to get concerned. -Auron 09:08, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
Lacky.. if I may, I'd like to ask you a question. What does that random "Hey" have to do with the Main Page content? If you come to the same conclusion that I and any other human being with a brain that is functioning at near normal level would, you will answer nothing. If it has nothing to do with the content of the associated article, it's at best misplaced, and at worst vandalism. It was placed by a random user who was wantonly vandalizing page after page. To me, that makes it vandalism. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 09:08, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
Well I suppose you have a point, but I would go with your whole "misplaced" idea, rather than vandalism. -- My Talk Lacky 23:16, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Emblems

i am a beginner at html and such, and would have done it myself, except i will probably mess it up.

theres an emblem missing from the page "creating a cape" its one of a undead looking dragon from the top view, just thought i would notify you on this.

thanks.

Tools > Treasure Chest page

Hi Wyn,

I really like that Treasure Chest section on your Tools page that counts down the days since you last opened those chests. I know you "stole" it from Anja, but I would really like to know how it works. I don't mean in terms of wikicode, but more in terms of in-game utility. I understand that the treasure chests are subject to diminishing returns, but I don't understand in what way. I believe you must wait 30 days before you're able to open the chest again, but if you wait longer, do the rewards become better? Or are the diminishing returns calculated solely on how many times you've opened the chest? I am asking you because, based on the fact that you are keeping track of the days, it would seem you have some understanding of this. Thank you! --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 20:23, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

You have to wait 30 days before you open them again, and each time you open them the reward decreases. I believe they have remained relatively static after about the 6 month time period, though I have no idea what the actual math is, but no, they never get better. That's why it's been so long since I've bothered as even the top ones at this point never give me gold items anymore and give me very little cash as well. It's just not worth getting to them any longer. The reason I left the chart up, is just to have the code available easily should anyone want it. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 21:55, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Like me! :D I'm thinking that I'd like to use it, so thank you very much for your foresight! In fact, I have gotten a lot of ideas for my own page from yours, so thank you very much! Yes, I will give the credit to you on my page. ;) --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 22:05, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Same with me, though I slightly modified it by putting a color thing in for the boxes, identifying if the drop was a gold or purple or lower. Ill probably make a template of it later.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 19:03, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Beaver Cape

hmmm never have seen the Beaver cape.. but hey.. I only been playing 3 or 4 years.. funny really, that its been there since 2008 and noones mentioned it.

I've seen it in game many times. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 08:16, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Collapsing

Hey Wyn, I noticed your templates have a lot of collapsing/expanding components. I was wondering if they were easy to code, as I was thinking of adding them to the separate dialogues here. Thanks! G R E E N E R 08:31, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Yes they are easy to do, I also incorporated them into the diaglogue on Wynn. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 09:39, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
I've noticed that on many collapsable templates, the 'show' and 'hide' options rarely line up correctly. When you click 'show,' the 'hide' option will display a good distance away from where 'show' was displayed. Is this fixable? If so, could you please explain how? Thank you. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 18:03, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Because tables in Media wiki auto-size, the show/hide links float to the right margin of whatever part of the table is visible. So, if you have it set to expandable, the show link will be right aligned to the header row auto sized to fit whatever text is in it, while the hide link will be right aligned to the fully expanded table. Am I making any sense? The only way to change this is to hard code the width of the table in pixels, which becomes problematic with the widely varying resolutions/screen widths people view the wiki at. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 18:34, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I can see that now in your coding on your Wynn dialogues. Thank you for explaining that. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 18:47, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the explanation Wyn. I haven't been able to find a way to nicely hard code the dialogues (very new to coding), and I'm sure sure if that's even advisable. But if you have any suggestion on how to make it look better, please feel free to let me know, or tinker a bit yourself. G R E E N E R 19:53, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Awesome!

Hi, I just like to say i just ADORE your userpage. its soooo good! I think i'll use your user page templates when i finally do re-do my user space. (I'm kinda not looking forward to it cus its a lot of work. Thats why i'm so impressed!) Anyway, just wanted to let you know i think you rock! Heroes Page

I really liked the format for your Heroes page, I was wondering if I could steal it for my page... Aquadrizzt User Aquadrizzt sig.png 13:16, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Sure. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 13:19, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Hey

I recently entirely redecorated my userspace but i'm experiencing a few problems. I heard youre good at wikicoding and I used a lott of your templates so here's a few things i would like to ask: on my userpage there are 6 headers but i want to remove 4,5 and 6 but i cant seem to get it right. second on my mission progression i want to make a table with 4 cells (2 x 2) with an image from every campaign in it and a colored background and bigger letters but since i don't know how to code anything i cant make it. would you please explain me how to do it? thx Rhonin Soren 18:14, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Ok, well, check see if that's more what you had in mind? The images are just loading screens, you can replace them with whatever images you wish, they do all need to be scaled the same (which these aren't quite...). -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 20:55, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Mission progression was exactly what i whanted thx wyn <3. you did delete half my navbar. i know some are still red but its a work in progress :p. I do have another question about your template for the hall of monuments. Since HoM is now account wide your template for resilience is kinda anoying. could you make it so that it doesnt depend on one profession but show's every armor there is in the game (with the option to choose wich profession is shown if there are multiple if that is possible) sry for taking so much of your time Rhonin Soren 18:00, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
I really have little interest in creating any more templates. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 18:11, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
I understand. well thx anyway Rhonin Soren 16:14, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Summon Ruby Djinn Immolation Bug

Hey Wyn, I've discovered that when a Ruby Djinn hits a destroyer with Immolate it causes the destroyer to burn. Should I add the bug to the Ruby Djinn's page or to the Destroyer's page? Also, what is the wiki tag for a bug? Thanks -- Magic User Magic Icon.jpg Talk 15:26, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

I would add it to both. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 15:28, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Found the template and edited the pages. Thanks for the quick reply. :) -- Magic User Magic Icon.jpg Talk 15:41, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
This is actually an animation bug, where the burning animation triggers but the actual burning does not. You can test be using burning conditional skills like searing flames or glowing gaze while the burning animation is still going. Also see here Feedback:Bug reports/Skill bugs. Summon Ruby Djinn is listed there. --Lania ElderfireUser Lania Elderfire pinkribbon.jpg 15:55, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Couldn't you simply look and see whether the guy has -7 degen? -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 03:35, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Because that would just make too much sense. --Lania ElderfireUser Lania Elderfire pinkribbon.jpg 19:42, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

War Supplies inventory icon

Anyway the icon you(or Balistic) uploaded is not the inventory icon of War Supplies, it is actually the skill icon of Well-Supplied. Check Neil2250's original upload as evidence. -- Zora 00:36, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

I just fixed the transparent icon he loaded. I take no responsibility for it's correctness, but my version is cleaner than yours. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 01:11, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

New Minipets

Great job and excellent work. In the usage notes, I had noticed you did not have Evennia there, so I added her for you. Hope you do not mind.MystiLefemEle 10:13, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 10:29, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Royal Gift -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 19:34, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
I see some of them have been "removed" but until I know for sure if they are/are not in the game, I'm leaving the template, as it's a pain in the butt to change. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 20:02, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Agree <3.MystiLefemEle 06:06, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
Im waiting myself for their respective pages to be made before I edit my mini template. I want it to link to a real page, not a red link or incomplete article.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 06:51, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
They will show atm, though not sure why the mention of them were removed from Royal Gift page.MystiLefemEle 07:39, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
Perhaps some people were unsure that they were indeed dropped from the royal gifts until proof was presented. Most of the data from the gifts was taken from the gw.dat file anyways, which has never been good cause to complete factuality *cough*zaishenmarket*cough*--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 08:09, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Delete the text, delete the category...same difference.....(thats my story and I'm sticking to it.) Sorry about that. --User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 06:30, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Um... no, there are pages within that category. The text was a misplaced suggestion. Categories are not meant to hold text, they are meant to organize pages. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 13:58, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

A little help

Hi, I am unaccustomed to the GWW style since being the first site with so hard to design pages (at start). I would like to ask a question, this being "How exactly to design a page at "Suggestions" to show my ways of improving Guild Wars?" I've seen many Suggestions there but no link to somewhere I could REALLY start doing one and post it there. There are only a lot of links that dazily ping-pong one from a part to another without much help. Why is it there a link called "Getting started" when in only tells you some rubble about the importance of subpages, but no idea about how to EXACTLY design a page as other users once did. So... any help :D --#### Asendji

As I said on your talk page, go to Feedback:Getting started. All the rubble as you call it is the instructions for submitting suggestions. Having seen your "suggestion" you would be best to create a suggestion page for each skill. As for subpages, all suggestions are subpages of your Feedback:User page, which you create from the Getting started page. That page will provide you with an easy to use Create a suggestion box that will help you to properly format your suggestions. Any suggestions that are improperly submitted will A) Not be seen by the developers, and B) Get deleted. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 19:45, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your kind help! Now I do hope some of my pieces of advice are taken into account. Wanted to sound as neutral as possible :D Thanks again!

Regarding your reply to my topic on Gaile's support thread

Wyn I am unsure if you can see this or not as I am used to placing topics on top of pages not bottoms, this wiki runs a hair differently then 90% of the ones I have edited prior in that newer topics are weirdly placed at the bottom of the page. however thank you for your input and you can see Gaile's response is favorable so I don't know how to move topics or edit outside of adding new threads to existing pages. If you happen to know how to move said topic from Gaile's support thread to someplace more appropriate then could you please do so because she is busy and I have no idea how to do so thank you. LilithChan 07:01, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Sure :D -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 07:14, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
I left the original post on Regina's page, but since the following comments were intended for my space, I moved them back to my page. That way, focus can be placed on the original post and, if there's any further needed discussion on the topic of the follow-ups, it can stay in the original placement. Gosh, I hope that makes sense! :) -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 07:32, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Yes, it's just common practice to move the entire discussion for continuity. (So Regina would know WHY it was moved to her page... without having to go to yours.) -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 07:42, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
