Bounty/Hit System: Fame points

This idea is inspired by One Piece manga and Oblivion the game. The Bounty system will be like the character/guild's reputation in the guild wars world. Depending on the quests they choose to do, they will gain or lose fame. The players can also choose to form famous/infamy guilds by teaming up with individuals with similar status. Their fame points will affect the guild's level of fame/infamy as well. (its kinda like factions where people donate factions but you don't donate these points. Its the presence of the players that affects the guild. So 1 guy could be the pillar for the famous guild... like a hero if you'd like...).

As they accumulate these points they will enjoy certain benefits as well as having some negative effects. For example, the more famous/infamous the guild becomes, they will have special access in the game...discounts or like be able to enter the Raisu palace and hang out with the emporer! (oh i don't know~ >.<). Being famous/infamous should not affect how the NPC GUARDS react towards you (maybe you're in disguise) because I dislike the idea of being forced out of towns because of ur reputation. Towns should actually provide players as a sanctuary from head hunters. And probably get discounts from shops because of the shopkeepers' admiration towards you! Or through intimidate the shopkeepers according to your reputation.

Once a player accumulate or lose certain amount fame points the NPC controlled guild/countries(governments) releases the "bounty" on that person and that player can be hunted down by other players for reward such as fame points or reward. But since the infamous person could get overwhelmed by the sheer number of head hunters they should get special buffs for the PvP interaction. So in case the infamous player gets ganked by more than 1 person while he is PvE'ing, the buff can help him to stay in the fight longer or perhaps even give him the ability to run away/hide from the gankers instead of taking them down. (this buff should not affect the PvE interactions,,,but since its just an idea it could =P)

OR instead of giving them buffs, they can set "limitations" by having conditions required to meet (i.e. # fame point required) or even the number of people who can accept the bounty. A player with 1 fame shouldn't be able to attack someone with like -10000 fame points.

For people who accumulate large amount of fame points, underground organisations will release hit lists for those going for infamous reputation.

Once the famous/infamous person is killed, the death will reduce the accumulated fame points by certain percentage or even return to zero. And his/her corpse can be looted for a quest item to be turned in for the successful bounty/hit,,,may it be money, item, more fame points or even nothing.

...i cant think of anything anymore...

Why this is a good idea
  •   Encourages PvP/PvPvE interaction
  •   Adds more dimension to the game
  •   hopefully encourage players interact with their guild
Why it may not work out
  •   Complicated, im still kinda confused..are you?
