Former name redirects are those that redirect from old official terms or names to new ones. These name changes are usually a result of new releases or due to game updates. Use {{former name}} below the #redirect line to categorize the redirect. See Chapter for an example.

While they should be replaced as one encounters them, avoid making edits solely for the purpose of replacing redirects.
