Mantid Gazers spawn in the Saoshang Trail along with other Mantises. They are usually not seen until one approaches a seemingly lone Mantid Drone Hatchling.

In hard mode, Mantid Gazers grouped with Mantid Glitterfangs can make for a very resilient group.
