IMO change recharge to 8 secunds (like flourish) and it would see much use 81.245.126.162 20:01, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

it isn't a reference to family guy, stewie says Victory shall be mine, not is mine.--User Fire Tock sig.jpgFireTock 03:40, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
He says both. -- Gordon Ecker 08:06, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
How about it's just a common battle cry and it's not a reference to anything?24.129.26.35 19:17, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
This seems like an incredibly contrived and unlikely reference to Family Guy. It's a very common saying and there is no reason to believe that Anet was possibly referencing Stewie Griffon. Removing the note. Denizen Zero 19:12, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

its trivia, not a note. It also doesnt have to mean that they referenced it. Its just happens to be something they say in that show. Once again, PREJUDICE FTL.--User Raph Sig.pngRaph Talky 00:30, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

You can argue semantics all you want; the skill page is not a page for random, useless crap. Denizen Zero 07:57, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
its not crap, its real and true trivia, thats what the trivia section is for--User Raph Sig.pngRaph Talky 13:59, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Agreed, keep the stewie trivia. Panthor 14:34, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
It's a fairly common saying. Both trivia facts are crap.
I'm nuking both triva. King arthur does say "Victory is mine" after he slices of black Knights second arm, and that may be reference, but these two are just.. no. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 08:09, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
we neeed to take a vote on this or somethin. tbh, idc what happens, but i think its viable trivia.--User Raph Sig.pngRaph Talky 23:05, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
Nuke both. Else xkcd knows our future. calor (talk) 23:08, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Suggested Buff[edit]

Sadist's Signet is better than this skill, mainly because it has half the recharge. ViM gets more health( about 50% more), and it gets energy, but what is a warrior going to do with all that energy? Some Suggestions:

  • Change the energy gain to adrenalin gain. Reduce recharge to 10 or 12. Problems with this: you could Final Thrust, then use this, and possible Final Thrust again. The cap would have to be about 2 per condition, or set a ceiling of about 6-8 total gain. However, you can then use this, then lions comfort to get good healing, but that requires points in two non weapon attributes.
  • Change the skill totally. "You get +25% increased attack speed for 0..2..3 seconds per condition on target foe." Change recharge to 12.
  • Change the Skill to an elite Thrill of Victory, with a Final Thrust element. "Deal +15..39..45 damage. If target has less than 50% HP, deal an additional +15..39..45 damage." You could even add "Cannot be blocked by foes suffering from a condition"
  • "For 1..12..15 seconds, you deal +2..8..10 damage to foes suffering from conditions."
  • or my favorite totally imbalanced one: "If target touched foe has less than 25% max health, and has a condition, target foe dies. If foe dies, this skill is disabled for an additional 80..32..20 seconds". Change recharge to 10 seconds, energy to 10. This would kill the foe, not deal damage, so skills that give health when you are about to die wouldn't work.

  • Lower recharge to 8 seconds

Bive 17 January 2009

Why not just change functionality to somthing like Bathory's?

5 Energy0 Activation time5 Recharge time - (Tactics) - Elite Shout. (8 seconds.) Your attacks against target foe deal +5...13...15 damage and have 20% armor penetration. Falconeye 3 April 2009

Or I can agree with bive. If this skill were more spammable, with less gain, it would be far more useful. I've thought of using this with an assassin and sadist signet. StatMan 21:05, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Bathory's suggestion isn't bad, but it needs a 15s recharge instead of 10s. Having it up 4/5 of the time is a little OP for an uninterruptable Read the Wind. Also note: this would need to be moved to Strength to prevent outside profs from using it. Benjammn311 04:42, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
I actually really like this skill as it is. At 6 energy per Condition, it's worth only 0.2 pips of regen with one Condition, but an extra 1.2 pips thereafter. That makes it outperform pretty much any other like energy management skill at ~3 Conditions (compare with, say, Offering of Spirit, which has a cast time too). However I'll agree that its uses are niche and it does require Conditions to stick, at least long enough for you to use it. EDIT: Signing Widowmaker 23:44, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
If you are going to use this, bring a spear. Much easier to put a mess of conditions on your target with a spear. Also opens up the potential to put a lot of that extra energy to good use with some 5e attacks. Run this with a Fevered Dreamer / Extend Conditions Mesmer and you have a pretty bountiful boiling pot of conditions for your pleasure. I feel dirty saying that. And I like it. Victory shall be mine[edit]

Too bad this skill is not "Victory shall be mine!" we would have another Monthy Python reference. ^^ 88.148.212.110 22:22, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

I see many online reference to the Shout and to monty python so its going in... the whole black knight scene is used in other trivia's MrPaladin talk 14:52, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Arthur said "Victory is mine!" in the Black Knight scene, not "Victory shall be mine!" This skill is definitely a Monty Python reference: the Black Knight is used in many references, how many Family Guy refrences do you see in Guild Wars? <>Sparky, the Tainted 15:15, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Looking even more into it, this movie is trivia all over the game... From the Black beast to the White rabbit... I'm surprised there is no Knights who say Ni myself... seem Anet were fans MrPaladin talk 15:18, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
