[edit] Paragon Dance

I am pretty sure that it is the Collecor's edition Nightfall special dance that is from "Coming to America", not the female Paragon dance.. --Lensor (talk) 14:35, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Youre right the CE dance is form Coming to America ~ KurdImage:Kurdsig.png 14:41, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
ah, my bad. if u know what to change it to, then please change it. --VVong|BA 14:46, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jumpstyle

The female assassin dance cannot possibly resemble jumpstyle, because it didn't exist when Factions was released (if it did, it was unknown at the time) and apart from that, there is no jumper that can do a summersault backwards. Trust me, jumpstyle is more like the chicken dance. Nicky Silverstar 14:55, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sync Broken?

It seems to be exceedingly hard to sync right now. It starts almost immediately and copy'n'paste also seems to start almost immediately. :( --84.147.85.81 00:04, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Umm, to sync emotes you just need to type '/emotename *'. The star causes the emote to start at the next 'emote pulse', so everyone using an emote with the start between two pulses will start the emote together at the next pulse. -- Gem (gem / talk) 00:07, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Abaddons Dance

Abaddons dance is missing. (Angelus Nox 01:49, 1 February 2008 (UTC))

[edit] CE edition dances

its not very important, but could we possibly get GiFs of the collector's edition dances?--Raph Talky 19:37, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Woman Ranger

Well, it!s isnt so usefull information about Woman Rangers Dancestyle....Fami, 2008.april 2. 18>31

There's no information on it because nobody has figured out what it's a reference to yet. --Mme. Donelle 08:55, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Possible Monty Python reference?

I understand that most "references" in Guild Wars are really just coincidences, but this one struck me as possibly intentional. I think a section of the female dervish dance (the one shown at the very start of this video) was inspired by a dancing knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, during the Knights of Camelot scene. You can see him at 0:57 and 1:27 in this video. --Mme. Donelle 08:55, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

They are eerily similar

[edit] the revert battle that just went on..

Brains, what consistency? And they need a source to make sure whether or not its the faemale or the male dance, they arent the same--Raph Talky 00:24, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Listing localized versions?

Is the French version really needed when we also have a link to the Localized commands and emotes page; although personally I think it would be better linking to the emotes section of that page; otherwise we might as well list every language version on this article (as well as every emote article) which is what it looks like 96.53.221.132 was also trying to avoid. --Kakarot Talk 00:58, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Well, I just added that for clarification because people keep taking out and adding back /danse because they think that it's a misspelling on ArenaNet's part. Kokuou 01:11, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
My main reason for asking was because of both Uchiha's; this is an OFFICIAL emote. you wouldn't take /fame or /rank off because it's different would you??; and TheRave's; Whether its correct language or not is irrelevant, its a working/functioning emote; reason for readding it as it would suggest that if it is a working version of the emote it should be listed, hence my suggestion to add every language version. An obviously better solution would be to change the wording of the first sentence to something like the following:
"Dance is a continuous emote invoked using the /dance or /dancenew chat command or by using the respective localized version for your language."
--Kakarot Talk 01:29, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
I think you're missing the point. Because the French version /danse is so close to the English one's, people mistakenly add it in, thinking that ArenaNet put it in as a misspelling of the English version. I agree that it's odd to have one localized version just randomly in the description, but this way, if anyone else goes to add in /danse again, thinking that ArenaNet made a spelling mistake, they'll see the explanation that's there now, and realize that it is, in fact, correct and not a mistake. I can live with the description you propose, though. :D Kokuou 01:35, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
this works by me as well. good idea. --Uchiha Lena 02:12, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm happy with that, that makes sense.- TheRave talk (talk) 09:27, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
I like what you guys are trying to do, but I don't like how it was implemented. If you are ignorant of the French emote for dance or the issue of suspected misspelling of the English word, you'll find that little tidbit of info way out of place. And, using the aforementioned scenario, it raises the unnecessary arguement of "why just /danse and not /tanzen, /balla, /bailar, etc?" --TalkRiddle 12:56, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

maybe b/c some people in RL are truely bad at spelling and might think that /danSe really IS the correct way... hence why we put it is the french version? i've seen worse w/ people unable to spell correctly and then trying to argue about it and saying they are spelling correctly >_< --Uchiha Lena 17:37, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Male Ele

It seems that the animation of the male ele is missing the first part of the dance. --MageMontu 13:01, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

because that part isn't repetative. we could make a second gif with the intro. - Y0_ich_halt 13:22, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
