Talk:Repeating Strike
From Guild Wars Wiki
I didn't mean to remove the second note, but Repeating Strike+WofEP is seriously garbage. Why use a weak off-hand when you can use dual attacks? --Ufelder 07:54, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed, if you're going for spam attack skills to increase damage, Moebius/Death Blossom spam is way more effective and has no energy problems. Repeating Strike is weak, and WotEP is meh at best. -Auron 07:56, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Well, the note does not say it is better for damage, but that it can be used without any loss of energy. Yes if you have a lot of points into critical strikes then you wont have much energy problems regardless, but I'm sure someone has a build out there that doesn't use critical strikes, and these 2 skills would allow for some semi-rapid damage without losing much energy. Not everything is about dealing pure damage :S 71.223.66.98 17:41, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Im also sure that there will be some nublet that will try and cap this elites and make that their "special combo". Just like sooo many people did with their "condition spam Avatar of Melandru dervishes", i almost never use that build. Blind spam is better ^^....EDA FTW!--Raph

This is roughly the same concept of spamming flare... Talamare 00:09, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Crazy Headstand Attack
I like this just for the animation, it almost looks like you are kicking the enemy in the face while you do a headstand. I guess you can use this if you are waiting for a dual attack to recharge. Too bad you aren't allowed to double attack while doing offhand skills. - Elder Angelus 14:13, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Cleanup
Shouldn't the Note on the skill page be replaced as a "synergy" category?Jimbob1178 14:21, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- But, er, there is no such thing as a Synergy category in a skill page. Notes is just fine. Justin6

[edit] Blocking
Does this skill have the extra wait when it is blocked, or just when it misses?--173.50.236.148 05:44, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- You mean there's someone who wants to use it?
- I'll see if I can test it and find out ;) ~Shard

Anomaly? I think we should remove that. Blocking counts as a missed hit. If this is an anomaly, then Marksman's Wager has an anomaly too, because you lose 10 energy points if your arrow is blocked. Sparky Sharkinu 06:36, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- Your attack also misses when it fails, but that doesn't set off the recharge. ~Shard

- You mean in the case of an out of order use of the Repeating strike? It probably would set off the disable, but sin attack skills instantly recharge if they don't meet the pre-req. I don't think there's any anomaly. Maybe this should be said in the notes though.~>Sins WDB

- wait so it triggers the recharge if its blocked....isnt that still technically a hit
