[edit] Walkthrough

The Ancestor Tree is the large gnarled tree that Mirza is standing near. After taking this quest, move to the first objective point, and a mob of demonic plants and insects will spawn:

Defeat this group to trigger the next group, and so on, until you have defeated 5 of these groups. Killing the corrupted root is the trigger for the next group to appear.

The Infectious Dementias can be pulled away from the plants, making the fights easier.

[edit] Dialogue

[edit] Initial dialogue

Mirza Veldrunner

"Ancestors help us! Nightfall has begun! The Ancestor Tree, once full of the wisdom and power of the ancients is now evil's breeding ground! Vile demons spawn from her branches and fall to the earth like rotten fruit that poison our village. You must help us. Here, take these sacred roots. It is the sole uncorrupted limb. Purge these foul abominations from existence."
Accept: "We shall save your tree."
Decline: "I killed my last houseplant. Gardening isn't my forte, you dig?"
When asked about quest: "There is little time left. Cleanse the evil from the Ancestor Tree using the sacred roots."

[edit] Reward dialogue

Mirza Veldrunner

"The Ancestor Tree is in a weakened state, but I no longer detect a foreign presence. Your acts of bravery have cemented your legacy among our pride. Thank you."
"There is little time to celebrate, however. Word travels that a terrible evil is headed our way from the north lands. Seek me when you are ready to continue."
