Suggestion Regarding Hall of Monuments and the Fissure of Woe

Hello hello, I just had a thought while playing in FoW with my friend. He noticed that there is a Quest giving NPC called Eternal Weaponsmith yet there are no weapons he can make for you. We, in our fit of creativity, thought it would be inequivecally awesome if you could craft weapons from obsidian shards and a few other rare materials, along with 15K. We thought it would be a good way to give people even more things to do in FoW other than grab armor and leave.

That said, we think it would also be a great way to expand that portion of the Hall of Monuments. Most people find Tormented and Destroyer weapons too ugly for words. This would be a good way to get some sweet new weapon skins in the game, as well as give people a new reason to enter FoW. Besides, with a material like Obsidian, how could the weapons not be made into something awesome?

I mean, you could make it so people have to clear it in order to get the option of crafting them. Or you could just have them do a certain quest or quests.

My only qualm would be the design of the weapons. I figured it could be a Design-A-Weapon contest, except specific to Obsidian based weapons and offhands. Otherwise, have the team that normally designs weapons make a big list of them for people to vote on somehow. That way everyone is happy. Especially those of us who dodge Valor because those weapons make us itchy...

Anyways, thanks for listening, and hopefully we will hear more about this sometime in the future. FleshAndFaith 06:48, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Hmm... where should I start... OK:
  • User:Linsey Murdock/FAQ - "Like I always say, getting Art is difficult. I can say with some certainty that we will not ever do more armor sets as a single cycle of armor takes a senior character artist almost a full year from concept to polish and that certainly isn't likely to happen. A weapon cycle takes much less time, but it is still not a small or easy task."
  • A complete set of weapons should be made or coordinated by one person, so that they stick to one theme. DaW contests would not help here at all.
  • There are already some weapons exclusive to FoW and UW. If new weapons where to be added, I think the player preasure would be more concentrated on the Ruins of the Tomb of the Primeval Kings
  • Add new things on the bottom of a talk page please. — Poki#3 My Talk Page :o 12:35, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
I wanna see them make the obsidian edge craftable. That would be uber funny cuz it would make all those power traders who have 10 of them worth nothing. lulz. --adrin User adrin ecto sig.png 21:16, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
So instead of people making armor in FoW and leave, they now make armor and a weapon and leave. --Arduinna talk 21:36, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
I like how hypocrites make snide remarks about other users sincerely suggesting an actually not-so-far-fetched improvement. Keep up the great work Arduinna, and perhaps you can reach the next level.Pika Fan 10:57, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
I like the idea, could be done using existing weapons like inscribable Shadow Weapons and other thematic equipment directly linked to Fissure of Woe. -Kherec 12:24, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Gender Change

I was directed by another player to come here with my question. It was talked about a while back, but I was wondering if Guild Wars has or will impliment a Gender Changer NPC into the game. Thank you so much! --67.189.0.111 14:58, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your help.. But in your opinion, do you think they will add it? --67.189.0.111 23:54, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Reading between the lines, and considering historical data (which I will get to), I think they will if they reasonably can. Gaile had previously said that they didn't think it was worth the effort, so that it's being looked into now implies a change in policy. How high a priority it is now, however, is something only the Live Team knows - and it may prove to be impractical however much they'd like to do it. Draxynnic 03:28, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
This is one of those "nice to have" features that, if given enough resources and time, would be "nice to have". All I can really say is you never know what could happen in the future. --Regina Buenaobra User Regina Buenaobra sig.png 02:47, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Maybe I got a nice idea if they make this the can let it cost 50skillpoints each time or so in this way we can get rid of our skillpoints^^.145.53.242.142 05:59, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
I always though that "Ascension" should be something stronger. Not just the ability to interact with the spirit world, but even to transcend physical boundaries. That's why Ascension could be a perfect explanation to change appearance, gender, even primary profession. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 13:12, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Along with how many dozen other "nice to have" features? :P Draxynnic 13:57, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
I feel like this would be a really cool asset to the game and I think it should require Ascension. If you could do it for every character on April Fool's Day in the past then why not now, but permanent? --67.189.0.111 17:48, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
That was different. Nothing was 'saved' then. The game client just was instructed to switch male and female appearances in certain outposts, without changing character information. A real gender change would require saving data in areas that are not prepared for that. It could be done, but it seems that would take time and resources needed for other stuff. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 00:07, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

I have a suggestion about veiwing cinematics (as discussed in subject 1)

Adding the ability to see all cinematics in the scrying pool is great but to make it even better' why not releasing an item, awarded in the end-game areas of each campaign' like a book or something that allowes you to see al cinematics? that solves the problem for those who don't have GW:EN. MarioDX 17:40, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

I think that's a great idea! Pkohler01 04:10, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Or even just an historian in each of the main cities. I love GW's magical time-travelling historians. ^^ --Mme. Donelle 07:06, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
An item is not a good idea. One item takes storage space. What would be better is an update in the quest log panel. It should not just show quests to be done. It should have tabs. One for quests currently active, one for quests completed by the character, one for quests known (acepted by any character of the account, regardless of them being completed abandoned or active), one for book entries and one for cinematics. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 15:48, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
This isn't the place for GW1 suggestions. I've been lenient about this on my wiki page, but I'm afraid that I will have to be more strict about this in future. The wiki is not the only place that suggestions are given to us, and to add yet another place for us to keep track of is time-consuming for us. As I have stated above, I will be archiving, without notice, any topics created that are misplaced or beyond the scope of what should be placed here. Thanks. --Regina Buenaobra User Regina Buenaobra sig.png 02:58, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Gamer title

Since there's very little left to max out for some people and certain people are complete-ist, are there any talks of putting a permanent mini-game that will add to your gamer title even if it's a non-GW related holiday? I think I'm not the only one who would want to at least gain some or max that title and i'm also not the only one who are off during these holidays either in real life or enjoying farming for items / questing during these holiday events. So are there any talks for such an idea or has this question already been asked before? 121.54.92.21 06:27, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

No, there aren't. Thanks for your suggestion (though suggestions really shouldn't be going on this page). Thanks. --Regina Buenaobra User Regina Buenaobra sig.png 03:01, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Black Bear

Hey Regina, I know this has been asked alot of times, but I never saw an official answer for it. Is there a reason why the Black Bear has to keep the Brutal Mauling skill? That skill makes the bear a bit undesired since cause of it, it has lower DPS. --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 18:23, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Says who? Doesn't it trigger most Paragon "Activates on Attack-Skill" shouts? I haven't tested it personally, but if it did, I'd love to see more pets given their own attack skills --ilr 23:46, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
I doubt that was the initial plan for it. Also more and more paragon skills are being made "All Party members". Also when I play with other human players, I rarely see a Black Bear with a ranger. --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 08:22, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
It no longer triggers those, Ilr. ANet couldn't separate spirit attacks and brutal mauling, so they just disabled all of them from triggering stuff like anthem of flame. Even way before the paragon existed, brutal mauling made bears the worst pets in the game. It just needs to be removed or given a damage buff. Honestly, giving it a +15 or something bonus damage won't break the game. -Auron 08:27, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
Well that sux, Thx for the enlightenment though! --ilr 20:57, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Let's see which paragon chants may be affected by attack skills:
That makes just 3 skills that already have better alternatives.
They should just make the bears lose the skill after level 5. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 16:09, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

I know this isn't a satisfactory answer, but there are no plans to remove the skill. --Regina Buenaobra User Regina Buenaobra sig.png 02:44, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
That's okay tbh, it isn't exactly a huge problem. -Auron >8< 07:18, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

This might be stupid but i think that mauling does more damage. When you fight a bear in pre-searing it generally deals about 3 dmg to a player (ranger) but when it uses brutal mauling it comes up on the damage monitor and does around 5 dmg. Maybe ts the nears way of getting a crit strike?--Simpaklimp 07:13, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

it doesn't -Auron >8< 07:18, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
Pet attacks do not deal fixed damage. The mauling was probably meant to deal bleeding or something like that, but now it doesn't do anything at all but slowing down the bear. No conditions, no extra damage, nothing at all. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 13:17, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Zkey price

Do you guys care that your ruining the price of zkeys?75.165.115.205 22:45, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

75.165.115.205 didn't explain it but I believe it's about the Real Problem that is the Xunlai Tournament House flooding the market with absurd amounts of Z-Keys every month. It is a problem because Tournament Reward Points and Zaishen Keys are a reward for active PvP players, large amounts of them are given to top finishers of Monthly Tournaments which has replaced Real World Prizes, and they ought to be valuable rewards if they're replacing RL prizes. But now with more and more players getting more and more accounts to participate in the XTH, receiving loads of Free Z-Keys for doing almost nothing, the value of them is ruined. They're dropping with every new wave of freebies and not recovering from that. This greatly hurts the value of rewards all active PvP players get for playing. Another problem is that the XTH encourages players to buy more and more accounts which turns to be an indirect but legitimate way for selling ingame wealth for real $$, which is pretty close to directly selling the Z-Keys in the ingame store. This is a hot topic right now, and a large part of PvP community wants the XTH to be completely removed or reworked.--YawgYawg 00:21, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Why would ANet rework something that is making them more money through more account purchases? They won't. Also the fact that the prices are dropping has minimal effect on pure pvp players as the keys still yield items regardless of value. The people it really effects are PvX players who use them as ectos, but those prices are dropping too. That's due to farming but really unless you are playing for the fun of PvP everything in guild wars is farming. Basically it doesn't matter to me at this point that everyone is getting closer to a level playing field in terms of wealth due to the games age and upcoming release of GW2 in the next year and a half hopefully.~>Sins WDBUser The Sins We Die By Sig.png 00:59, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
i was also talking about the weekend events. they being pvp weekend events are not helping. 75.165.115.205 03:38, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
The addition of the XTH predictions, I believe, was to give the PvE community a vested interest in the PvP side of the game. The value of any item in this game is directly related to the length of time since it was introduced. At the beginning, green items were highly valued because they were unique and rare, now, there are few green items that are worth more than 10k. Also the 'value' of any item is only what someone else is willing to sell it for and what they are willing to pay for it. If everyone decided that they would not sell their z-keys for less than 5k, the value would remain 5k. The simple fact is, there are those out there that are willing to take less to sell quickly, so then people say, if X is selling for 4.5k, someone else will too if I just refuse to pay 5k. Just as with ectos, as the game gets older, they become less rare, and so their value goes down. Removing the XTH from the game at this point would create much more dissatisfaction over all than allowing it to remain. As for weekend events, they are split fairly evenly between PvP and PvE and always have been. If you want your Z-keys to sell for higher, just hold on to them for 2 weeks after the points are handed out. The drop in prices usually happens right after each monthly update, but then springs back. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 04:21, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
If people were making over 9000 accounts just so they can sell keys every month its just as much their fault. There is a big difference between selling something directly for real money and making it possible to obtain it trough some obscure system of random guessing. While it is true that Anet might even sell few more games it is highly unlikely that they intended it to be that way. Biz 07:53, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Well it is otherwhich Anet would have costumisched does keys and they still haven't costumisched them because the get money from people who buy new accounts. And that the economy is getting very very low doesn't it seems. Otherwhich Shadow Form(UWSC) en Zkeys would be nerfed but they dont. 62.133.217.250 12:59, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Zkeys are fine as is. PvP players got to make some money (still do), but I really don't buy why some ppl think that zaishen title is supposed to be PvP. It's both, with a small advantage to PvP, with possibility for trade, and with XTH feeding into it as well. That's the way I like it. And all it does is shift existing money around, so in a way it is helping clearing some ppl's bank account. Zkeys will continue to drop in value, yes, but only in response to decreasing demand. -- Alaris_sig Alaris 14:00, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

75.165.115.205, the more plentiful a desired item becomes in the market, the less people are willing to pay for it. That's basic supply and demand. The value of Zaishen Keys 8 months ago was higher because there were fewer of them circulating in the market, therefore people were willing to pay more for them. Because people are willing to pay for them, more people started participating in the XTH. If there were fewer keys on the market, they would be more valuable. However, if we make any adjustments to the system, for example by making it harder to obtain Zaishen Keys or decreasing the number of Tournament Reward Points given out, there'd be a huge uproar because people aren't getting as many keys as they used to. Thank you for letting us know your feelings on the matter. At the moment, the developers are not planning making any adjustments to the system. --Regina Buenaobra User Regina Buenaobra sig.png 02:42, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Regina you realize that because of your designers mistakes people were rewarded with 2 times the normal amount of reward points(not once but twice) that is something that only you anet had control over. i realize how a market and economics work. its clear that you guys don't care. other wise something would have been done to rectify it. and i am sure the price of zkeys would not be the same as it is now if you guys would not have made the mistakes that you did.75.165.115.205 03:03, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Why are you crying about 2 extra months worth of z-keys in the market? The more time that passes the effect those 2 months worth of keys actually have. Think long term, oh well it's inconvenient for you now. Sell your keys now bcs they aren't going to go up for any foreseeable reason.~>Sins WDBUser The Sins We Die By Sig.png 03:34, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
They sure could. ANet could raise the Balth Faction cost of ZKeys to 10k per key and completely eliminate ZKeys as part of the monthly prize handout. The prices would sky-rocket then. As it is, it's silly that people get tons of ZKeys for clicking a few buttons on a webpage every month. Why even have ZKeys cost anything at all if that is the way it works? I would suggest they either raise the cost of ZKeys from Talkano or remove them as prize items from the monthly tournaments, period, and make the only way to get them by paying Balth Faction/TRP's @ Talkano. ZKeys should be rewards for actively participating in PvP, not 'guessing' and clicking buttons on a website. Either way, having the market flooded by ZKeys (as is currently happening) cheapens the value of the ZChest rewards (which are supposed to be random, fun and profitable rewards) for the worse. Sometimes I wish ZKeys WERE customized. -thejynxed- 18:18, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

I use all keys earned on my own account. I see no point in selling them.(86.82.36.54 22:59, 5 April 2009 (UTC)).

How is it botting? If buying fame is bannable, then running should be bannable also. You are paying someone for a service. If they can farm you fame, good going them. The ability to help people gain titles through offering a service shouldn't be banned just because of outdated elitism. Further to this however if the fame is farmed using exploits then thats a different matter completly! EDIT: Further to this I think it is somewhat telling that you are basically reporting Wasabi, especially considering Adrin's recent ban and your unhappiness with how anet managed that issue. @ the IP, it is in no way similar to buying gold, as you are paying an ingame comodity for ingame title, thats the same base as any form of ingame trade. @Salome...he is the one I know of that left a paper trail. If there were others I could show proof or evidence of, I would include them as well. As for Wasabi specifically, I feel that as an officer of ZoS he should set an example of someone who follows the rules and conduct of the game. As for my opinion of botting, I feel it is allowing others or computers to play the game for you. I don't get ran, so I do not approve of it, and therefore I consider that to be under the same catagory of cheating. The point of "playing a game" is to "play it", or at least, I would think it would be.--*Yasmin Parvaneh* User yasmin parvaneh sig.png 05:26, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Hero Battle match manipulation weekend

In preparation of the double Commander point weekend in Hero Battles, a lot of players will be tanking their rating to farm the title in a number of ways. For relatively skilled players, this means they can easily beat opponents that are way below their own skill level and farm points that way. Another popular tactic, and often used by people that don't actually play the format but just want the title, is for both players to "/roll 100" before the start of the match to decide the winner without actually playing to speed up matches. This was immensely popular before the ladder was introduced, and I've noticed it's becoming more and more popular again with every double point weekend, to the point where even people ranked in the top 200 are asking to /roll. I know you'd tell us to report these people, but that's just not feasible with the amount of players that participate in this kind of match manipulation. At best you can minimize the damage by restricting Victory point rewards to battles between higher ranked players, like in GvG. This would at least put a limit to how far people could manipulate their rating in order to farm easy commander points. --Draikin 23:21, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Good Idea But this isnt going to put a stop to all the people doing it, most are /rolling for the title for HoM they get R3 then dont do anymore, its only the people who actually care about Hero Battles that Do this continuesly, Plus if u say no to a roller they usually leave anyways, after calling you a variety of names TalkWild 23:33, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
Personally, I find that to be quite a poor idea. That would discourage some people from ever trying HB in the first place, and if you weren't good enough to make top 1,000 or whatever, you wouldn't have any chance at that title. People would find little to no benefit from starting or learning how to HB. Aside from the double weekends, rolling is almost extinct. As for tanking their rating, that is a problem, but I really can't see a solution the way HB is set up at this point. Spirit From Below 02:13, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

About the "Free Storage Pane" giveaway.

I didn't know where to go with this so I thought this would be the best place to go (if it isn't pls tell me where to go with this question). The problem I have is that I have two Guild Wars accounts now linked to my NCSoft master account, now I have used the coupon code on my "main" GW account and tried also using it for my second account but that did not work because it said I already used it (i'll update what the website actually said once I can access it again). That's also the reason why I have not yet linked my third and fourth GW account to my NCSoft master account atm. Is this something that was overlooked or can you only have one Free Storage pane per NCSoft master account?

I think every GW account should be able to get the free storage pane even if several GW accounts are linked to one NCSoft master account.

Thx for reading.Qaletaqa 03:33, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

You actually managed to get ncsoft's shop to load? Kudos. 99.151.149.75 03:37, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
I got the extra tab on both my accounts. The coupon provides a unique key to your account, AFAIK. Drago 03:39, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
I've tried it several times on my second account and it worked just now, It's probably because I did it without leaving a bit of waiting time before applying the coupon code to my second account. Or the NCSoft website is beeing swarmed resulting in malfunctioning now and then :/. And yes Drago that is exactly what the coupon does.Qaletaqa 03:45, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
It's not malfunctioning, it's a swarm of traffic that is simply overloading the router. It is an unintentional DDoS attack. You have lots of time to use the site. Ghosst I Make Dead PeopleTalk • 05:18, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
god why did anet think it was a good idea to do this on that website and no where else.75.165.119.187 05:34, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Where else could they do it? 99.151.149.75 05:38, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Even sites like CNN have been taken down this way, just calm down. It's not avoidable, instead of screaming at people, calling out names calm down and wait a few hours. I'm sure you won't bleed to death between then and now. Ghosst I Make Dead PeopleTalk • 05:44, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
It's funny to think that many people think that websites have infinite bandwidth and can suddenly compensate for an sudden rush of activity. Benjammn311 05:53, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
they could have had the promotion in the in game store like what the did with the bmp (first time around) 75.165.119.187 11:33, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Could they? I'm not sure. You only got the BMP originally if you pre-ordered EotN from the in-game store, it wasn't just a random, freely available addition. Different systematics. -- User Elveh sig.png Elv 11:37, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Slight correction, the BMP wasn't for pre-ordering EOTN, it was for spending a certain amount in the in-game store (I can't remember how much, but it was something like $20 or $30), so theoretically you could also have gotten it by buying a bunch of character slots or whatever. The timing just happened to coincide with the release of EOTN, so that's how most people got it. Not a big distinction, but there it is. (Satanael 14:35, 24 April 2009 (UTC))
You're right, I forgot about that. I just bought EotN, that's why I remember it that way. Thanks for correcting me there! But still, the point I made stands: it wasn't something you got from the shop without buying something else first.
Back on topic, I can't get the code to work. Between the constant load failures on the PlayNC website, when the page does actually load it keeps telling me that the code is "invalid". This may be something you want to look into, Regina. (I may just be really dense, a week-long migraine does that to me. So either the description on the GW site is a little unclear, I'm misinterpreting it, or the PlayNC site has gone on strike with all the traffic.) -- User Elveh sig.png Elv 16:27, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
This looks like a test for the site to me. They should have been expecting such a huge load of requests. Maybe they just wanted to prove NCSoft that a LOT of people still plays and will keep playing GWO, or something like that. I managed to get it after 42 tries, after a 'Connection reset' message in the last step, but fortunately I got the pane anyways. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 16:23, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

You should be able to link multiple game accounts to a single NCsoft Master account, and you should be able to get a free storage pane for each game account. I've let the team know about this issue. --Regina Buenaobra User Regina Buenaobra sig.png 17:05, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Mith, I'm sure they did expect a rush, but not this big. Really, every time I see a website "launch" something so many people try to connect that it always exceeds the expectation of anyone on the team. Quake Live had waiting lines more then a day long, Battlefield Heroes literally died and had to be taken down for 2 days for repairs. I'm surprised NCsofts site is still standing really. — Poki#3 My Talk Page :o 17:39, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Methinks their cunning plan was not thought all the way through! I tried just accessing the NCSoft store itself from the main NCSoft page and couldn't get in. I'm guessing there will be some cheesed off NCSoft customers who don't play GW. Might have been better to just gift everyone the free storage pane directly. Not a complaint...I'll just keep banging away until I get through. Terryn Deathward 21:52, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

If I go into the NCSoft store and create an account, the email address I have associated with my primary GW account will be permanent, right?-- Shew 00:56, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

free storage pane
hey regina i have been trying ever since the update went live to get free storage pane i made new account on ncsoft and try to link my guildwars account it was all ready linked becasue i bought from the in game store well i got three accounts and one i have never bought from online store with but saying it done linked been get alot of erros like a general erro has occurred page cant be displayed so on i call ncsoft he help me with the problem with one of my accounts i coulnt remember my ncsoft master account information he reset my password but now its expired and i got it changed but still cant log in and get the storage what can i do --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Broken chicken leg (talk).

Try again in a week or so. The servers are a bit overloaded, but after a week or so, the hype will have settled and you'll still have a month left to get the free pane. 145.94.74.23 07:44, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

account attachment

Hi all. Can anyone help me with attaching my NCsoft account to my in-game account? I tried all game activation card keys, but none of them seem to work. (maybe game activation keys!=serial keys?) Boro 10px‎ 14:14, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

I did it this way:
  1. Log into your NCSoft Master Account
  2. Go to the GW Shop and select an item to buy, e.g. the additional Xunlai Chest tab.
  3. On the next page you can select to add it to either an already linked account or to an unlinked. The latter is called Link & Select Account. Select that.
  4. You will be promptet for your GW accounts ID (email address) and password. Enter and confirm.
  5. Now the account is linked.

Party animal, alcoholic + sweet tooth displays.

I was wondering if it would be possible for the team to consider allowing the display of said titles at rank 1. 10,000 in any of them, while a huge achievement, is quite difficult, and I think it'd be nice to be rewarded for doing a rather large achievement instead of a huge one. Of course rank 2 would be displayed also. Vael Victus Pancakes. 01:23, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Do you mean in the Hall of Monuments or while in an outpost? At any rate, getting said titles has gotten a little easier after this update. 145.94.74.23 07:32, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
HoM. Vael Victus Pancakes. 23:52, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
So far, all PvE titles are displayed at max rank only. Hybrids (like Kurz/Lux) and PvP titles are displayed at lower ranks. You suggested two different displays for the same title? (saying that tank 2 would be displayed also?) I know it's frustrating for some people to see that some titles may be rather difficult to achieve, depending on their play styles, but I think it's completely fair to get the trophy at rank 2, and not 1, they aren't meant to be moderately-easy/hard to get. Compare this to Legendary Skill Hunter, Defender of Ascalon, or Master of the North, and you will see that sweet and party are not that bad, they just involve money if you buy it, or time to farm them (now with extra special ways to get the points), so it's even better, having two options instead of just one. My only complaint about these is the lack of a drunk status icon, making it that much harder to work with, having to wait out the minutes and track them through your title panel. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 18:54, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
I see. It's just that with those titles you mentioned, you're actually getting stuff for your accomplishments... be it money, good items, or even doing other titles like treasure hunter and wisdom. Also, though this is subjective, I think most will agree it's more stimulating to beat a mission on hard mode vs. clicking a bunch of candy icons. That mostly pertains to party animal and sweet tooth, though. I couldn't ever see myself spending 10,000 minutes AND tons of gold for a title that gives no physical gain. .__.; Vael Victus Pancakes. 23:52, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
No physical gain? I agree, but here's a lame response: Feel No Pain, Drunken Master, Dwarven Stability. :D The new Keg of Aged Hunter's Ale should go nicely with those. And you get that much closer to GWAMM... User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 19:13, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Summoning Stones

Hello ! I love the idea of Summoning Stones, I think its great but unfortunately these things not no presence in the game. Indeed, Summoning Stones are too expensive, nobody buys. It is a pity given the potential that it brought into play. I urge everyone to think about in the | talk page of Summoning Stones. --Anvar Le Barbare 17:26, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

It depends on the stone really. The Siege Turtle summon can solo groups in UW and is actually too cheap considering its power. 145.94.74.23 10:43, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
God damn it no more summoning stones. It's a nice little thing but now there's enough. Move on to something new.
They may be expensive or just not worth it based on their function. We've got enough consumables clogging up PvE gameplay as it is: Eye of the North is extremely guilty with this with the consets. I'd love for Arenanet to focus on more core issues - which may actually be happening with this month's update, who knows. 000.00.00.00 12:40, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

This is a suggestion. I'm sorry, I can't comment. --Regina Buenaobra User Regina Buenaobra sig.png 23:47, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

A minor change.

Could we make it possible to send equipment templates to chat when playing on Roleplaying characters? Since rolling a PvE for every profession, I've been on PvP characters less and less often, and it's never a problem unless someone else rolls and needs an equipment template, which I can't ping from any of the characters I generally play. It's not a serious issue, per se, just a minor annoyance that I'd think would be relatively easy to fix (just have the save disk appear on every character, but with the load option disabled for PvE characters, no?). User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 18:23, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Probably not possible because items in PvE work differently and have many more possibilities, so they can't easily be converted into a short code.--83.26.13.15 02:10, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
I meant allowing a PvE character to ping equipment templates saved while on a PvP character. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 03:05, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
