Yes Missing Vampirism skill?

I'm a N/Rt, already at Spearmarshal rank and still with hero points. I already tried locating the Vampirism skill at all three hero trainers as enumerated, but somehow it is missing from the skill offerings. I am wondering now if this skill is just for primary Rits? Please update information.

It's under Sunspear Skills (I believe this is at the top of the selection list) instead of looking under Ritualist skills - have you looked there ? Clan Yumemiru 06:11, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Exactly right, Clan Yumemiru. I hope the original poster was able to get the skill okay. -Kim Chase 22:53, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm inclined to think there's actually a bug that is making certain Sunspear skill options disappear to some players. Several days ago one of my guild mates was puzzled as to why Shiloh would not offer Cry of Pain. We had our toons side by side, both viewing the skills on offer and while I could see Cry of Pain he could not. He claimed to see seven of eight skills - I pointed out there were ten professions - so it's likely that several skills were not visible to him. He then shut down his game client, logged the character back in and located Cry of Pain without any trouble at all. -- WarBlade 21:39, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Since the Sunspear skills are only taught to the character that is currently using the Skill NPC, unlike the standard skills that are also unlocked for your account/heroes, the skills will disappear from the list if that character already has it unlocked. I have no explanation for why your friend would be unable to see a skill and then be able to see it later on the same character. I'll keep an eye out for that. -Kim Chase 22:07, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes Critical agility bug

moved from User talk:Gaile Gray

i didnt know where to put this so ill post it here. the SunSpear skill Critical agility ive been using and while under the Hex Shadow Shround i was still able to aply to myself, as critical agility is an enchantment spell i thought this was a bug, am i right? --Robot 20:50, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

shadow shroud only disallows targeting that player with enchantments. since that reappliement doesn't target anyone, it's not affected :) - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 23:53, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
What about well of the profane? stripped my mending but not my critical agility.--Robot 14:50, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
"For 8...18...20 seconds, foes in that area are stripped of all Enchantments and cannot be the target of further Enchantments." so if you stand in it when it gets created, you should get agility stripped. but if you walk into it later, agililty still doesn't target you so it still works. i think... - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 15:39, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Wrong again, If you step into a well of proane or are inside it when it is created, good-bye all enchantments. You can't use any "target (other) ally" enchantments on anyone already standing in one. --Ckal Ktak 22:29, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
a)i wasn't wrong before, so no wrong "again" :P b)well, now i know. and then it's definetely a bug. - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 16:45, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
I don't know if this is still current, but I will move to Mike's page. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 03:24, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Critical Agility is properly stripped when walking into a Well of the Profane. As others have mentioned, you can still cast Critical Agility from inside the Well of the Profane or while hexed with Shadow Shroud since Critical Agility automatically enchants the caster rather than targeting them. -Kim Chase 23:54, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Yes Steam and Teinai's/Ice Prison bug

Steam deals Fire typed damage when used with Glyph of Immolation effectively ending those hexes, even though it states it deals cold damage. --Underwood 08:29, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

We're working on this one. Thanks for letting us know about it! -Kim Chase 19:55, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
This has been fixed. Backsword 08:23, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes Rebel Yell

Its adrenaline gain is bugged. I'm at R10 and tried to charge Quivering Blade (4 strikes) with a bow. It took me 4 hits to charge it when it should have taken just 2 hits. So either I don't know how this effect works or its bugged. --Treasure Boy I love this skill :D Talk 18:16, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, it's looking off to me as well. I put in a report for this. Thank you, Treasure Boy. -Kim Chase 00:04, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
This was fixed in the 8/7/8 update. You should be getting extra adrenaline when you attack a Charr while Rebel Yell is active. Thanks again for the report! -Kim Chase 17:06, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Yes Not really a glitch but instead a huge annoyence

I, am a really picky person and as many other ppl i like to have my toons look a certain way and have certain titles :D Recently i have made a necro in prophices going for surviour...while im trying to get out of pre all goese easy and well however. i dont think its fair that we are thrown in a PvP match..i keep working and wasteing money and time..to get thrown in a pvp match and killed trying to leave, i keep haveing to restart another toon. btw if this was posted in the wrong area Very sorry im new to the forums >.>

Btw i can be reached at..syreana de fallen
Simply log out to Character Select (by pressing F12 and choosing the revelant option) prior to the PvP match starting, then log back in on the character. You will be past the PvP match, ready to commence the final pre mission against the nefarious Vatlaaw Doomtooth and his Evil Minions. Clan Yumemiru 13:32, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
No further comment from the original poster, so assuming (and marking as) fixed. Clan Yumemiru 22:39, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes Weapon of Remedy and Heros

I'm using WoR on heros, and they seem to be casting it on allies with health degen through hexes/vampiric mods. Could it be changed so that heros only cast it on allies taking actually damage and allies with conditions? Thanks. Wisteria 04:19, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Should be on AI page. ALso, AI can't read minds, and thus don't know who will be attacked in the future. It's general guess is whomever makes an easy target, ie. low health. Backsword 04:32, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
They use it only during battle so it's not that much of a problem. With the exception of Weapon of Warding and Weapon of Shadow, heroes only look at the health bars to determine whether or not they should heal/protect an ally. --Draikin 19:47, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Since we are already looking into optimizing similar skills I'll go ahead and see if this can be made better. As Backsword and Draikin mentioned, this is already working fairly well, so it's possible that there won't be an improvement. Thank you for the suggestion. -Kim Chase 20:44, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Improvements were made to the AI for this skill in today's update. Heroes will still use this sparingly in general combat, but will be very likely to use it on allies that are being directly attacked. This felt just great to me in combat. Let me know if you're still having any trouble with this.-Kim Chase 05:37, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Yes Small Girl's Cape

One of my characters in post-searing had a Small Girl's Cape. I wasn't able to sell this item though it's worth 100 Gold. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 08:01, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

This has already been changed. You should be able to sell a newly acquired Small Girl's Cape, but older versions still aren't salable. Thanks for the report. -Kim Chase 23:37, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes Possible Raven / Ursan / Volfen Blessing bug

Although it was not mentioned in the update notes, the recharge times of Raven Blessing, Ursan Blessing and Volfen Blessing have been raised from 30 seconds to 60 seconds, which could either be an undocumented change or a bug. -- Gordon Ecker 09:41, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

This was an intended change, so that the blessings are on for a minute and off for a minute. Sorry we missed that part on the update notes. -Kim Chase 22:46, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Yes Map Problems

Hi I recently Completed The EOTN Campaign and Read About The Mini Game Polymock But When I Checked My Map To Travel To Rata Sum To Start The Quest It Wasnt There,And The Only Outpost I have In Azura Terratory Is Umbral Grotto,Having Finished The Eye Of The North Rata Sum Should Be On My Map. I know Its Not Too Far To Get To Rata Sum But Its Still An Issue Thanks Reece --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:81.105.43.116 (talk).

That does sound like a problem, but it's hard for me to tell exactly what is going wrong from the description alone. It might be better if you could send something in to support. When you send it in, please give as much information as you can about your character's progress in Eye of the north along with your character name and screenshots, if possible.-Kim Chase 22:51, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Have you checked in the southwest? The Tarnished Coast region is split into 3 sections. -- Gordon Ecker 01:19, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorry For The Inconvience I Was Wrong Rata Sum Is On My Map I Had Just Misplaced Its Possition Sorry Reece --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:81.105.43.116 (talk).

Yes Glimmering Mark Glimmering Mark

Glimmering Mark currently deals armor ignoring damage. -- Gordon Ecker 04:21, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

(sadly) fixed in the August 14th Update. Clan Yumemiru 21:14, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
great and now revert the "fix" 87.189.208.247 09:20, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes Audio and Video bugs since the Sept 10th update

After downloading the September 10th, 2008 update, my sound no longer works unless I'm using hardware sound, but whenever I use hardware sound there's a random issue where the music tracks play a few bpm faster than they're supposed to. Also, since the same update I have two thin ghost lines that appear at the top and left sides of my screen. These appear most clearly in my guild hall (Isle of Meditation).

I've changed monitor refresh rates and toggled Vsync on and off but the lines are still present. There's about a 4 second period after changing these settings where the lines disappear, but they consistently reappear after that. I've doublechecked soundcard settings but the software sound emulation still doesn't work and everything looks like it's where it belongs.

  • Edit: Disabling anti-aliasing appears to remove the ghost lines. I want anti-aliasing, though. So please try and fix this problem.

My video card is an ATI Radeon X800 GTO. My sound card is a Hercules Fortissimo II. My CPU is an AMD Mobile Athlon XP. My Operating System is Microsoft Widows XP Professional, with Service Pack 2(I'm waiting to install SP3 until I hear more about potential conflicts).

I have never encountered these problems before the Sept. 10, 2008 update. Thanks for your time. Painted Bird 20:39, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Could you please run the "Test My Computer" option from the Guild Wars login screen? Once the test is complete, click the "View Results" button to create a .log file of the test results. If you couple please send this file and your wiki name "Painted Bird" to community@arena.net, Regina will pass this on to my team to take a look at. Thanks! --Mike Zadorojny 22:29, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Got the info, thanks! --Mike Zadorojny 19:30, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
This issue has been resolved. --Mike Zadorojny 22:44, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Marked as such. Clan Yumemiru 09:27, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes Pikin

During the update today (for Talk like a Pirate day) someone forgot the Hero Skill Trainer Pikin from Kamadan, he isn't anywhere in the town. 71.179.8.106 22:07, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Pikin has returned! -Kim Chase 21:54, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes Capture Signets count as PVE-only Skills

PVE-only skills can hinder skill-capping. For example, players are unable to equip two Capture Signets and Two Sunspear Skills due to the 3-PVE-only-skill maximum on a skill bar. I.E., I can't take and Necrosis and Cry of Pain into Witman's Folly to capture Plague Signet and Energy Drain at the same time. This is somewhat counterintuitive, and forces players to adjust PVE-only skills out of their build in order to capture skills. It would be nice to see this adjusted. --Ninjatek 14:36, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

This is as designed (already listed as a previously Yes issue - see here ) Clan Yumemiru 15:11, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
