Skillful update is skillful. SniperFox 15:07, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- Awesome what they did with Shadow Form. Nerfed it's OP farming capabilties, but still kept it very useful in a team environment... Oh wait

I WANT A (DECENT) SKILL UPDATE! --smøni 18:29, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- What an amazing update! Hexway nerfed. Wounding strike's recharge increased. 100 nonviable skills made viable but not overpowered, AND ASSASSINS FINALLY REMOVED FROM THE GAME....WOOO HOOO!!!!!111!!! Ohwait....VeilofDhoom 18:35, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- Don't hold your breath. Even when we get one, you may be looking back on the word "decent" and wish you said "non-terrible". Oh, btw, I would put money down on Anet's next skill balance addressing SF and PvE more than PvP. Karate Jesus 18:47, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

canshould go somewhere else, like a QQing fansite forum somewhere. -- Wyn talk 18:51, 3 December 2009 (UTC)- I've been wondering where you were. Karate Jesus 18:52, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

- To give the generic GW fanboi response you hear a lot here, "They didn't say when the bi-monthly skill updates would start, and they've been working on all the content! Derp...derp". But yea.....bi-monthly, lol. Oh, and what happened to us getting to see the update ahead of time? I asked Regina if we would get to see this update early and she never answered. Karate Jesus 20:21, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- if its taking them this long to skill update, it better be a good one. owait...--Haseo 20:31, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Sigh... skill updates are usually the 2nd OR 3rd Thursday of the month... not the first Wednesday. Read your facts and dev notes BEFORE posting about how much of an idiot you are because you'd rather scream then think. This is not a QQ... these are facts. And to top that all off... we also have Winters Day Content coming and the new Test Krewe to coordinate... so the Devs have even more of a work then usual during the year. So enjoy the facts, and be patient. Its not like we are paying ANET for anything till 2011. So enjoy whatever free content that comes out from ANET with a 4.5 year old game. - SabreWolf 20:52, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- +1 -- Cyan 20:56, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- Some people are tired of being patient. I, personally, can wait. I know Anet fucks up, so I expected this. I knew it would take them longer than they thought to set up the Test Krewe (source:GWG), I figured new Halloween content would be a bust (see:The Waiting Game's talk page or being in ToA at any time for that 3 weeks), I knew the skill update would be late and just assumed they would forget to tell us a month ahead of time (see:SF has been talked for a year [i.e.the Twitter update]), and so I really don't expect much now. However....I think other people are getting pretty fucking tired of this, and I am getting tired of Bspike and Sway. Karate Jesus 21:01, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- KJ, I know that, and you know that, and even ANET probably knows that. And yes, I am getting tired of it too. In fact, I only have about 10 hours of gaming left in GW TBH... (Rit armor). But it is what it is. Its keeping a 4.5 year old game afloat while we wait for the next big thing from this franchise. Which unfortunately isn't till 2011 (according the most recent report from NCSoft). So ANET has to try and stay afloat for as long as possible (1.5 more years) while fighting a battle on 2 fronts... GW1 to keep fan interest, and GW2 for the reward at the end of this rainbow. Skill update will most likely be on Dec 17th... so we have 2 more weeks before the new stuff kicks in. - SabreWolf 21:19, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- Meh, I'm not worried about GW2. I've figured it would be 2011-2012 since that release date image came out 5-6 months ago. Tbh, what I'm worried about is GW1 actually having anyone left after a year and a half because of how poorly this has been handled lately. And I'd like to have at least some GW friends move on to GW2 (not looking likely, atm). Oh, and 4.5 years is nothing when you look at EverQuest, which has 10 years under it's belt. Granted, they used a different business model, but that's not our fault. Karate Jesus 21:25, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- /agree With the fear of the amount of peeps in 1.5 years from now. Granted, the numbers will never be equal to what it was a year or so ago when EotN came out (the last major content addition to the series), but I am sure there will be those loyal to the GW franchise that will move over. And also, /agree with 2011-2012. I have been saying all year April 22nd, 2011 will be the release date and April 29, 2011 will be the server lunch date... to coincide with the 6th anniversary of the GW franchise. That been my prodiction since day one, and it hasn't changed. - SabreWolf 21:35, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

- Ohey, look, CA is here to NPA me again. Awesome. How are ya buddy? Karate Jesus 21:50, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- The bi-monthly skill updates were suppose to coincide with the Test Krewe. Since it has taken much longer to get the Test Krewe up and running than they anticipated, you should pretty much know that the skill update changes are going to be postponed, and once again, NONE of this has anything to do with the content of this update. Give it a rest, and take it somewhere else. This is NOT the page for this. This page is not for discussion what ISN'T in this update. -- Wyn talk 22:05, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

So wait, after all these weeks since the game started crashing when the Dhumm update went live, they STILL haven't completely fixed it yet? 209.89.252.164 01:46, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

- @everyone QQing about assasins. Srslsy Stfu. Why dont you just roll one and use it for farming instead of crying about them. oh and btw removed from game? your a douche. Assassins are completely viable in just about every single pvp/Pve area WITHOUT shadow form (i know this because a sin has been my main since they first came out, Chain attacks and shadowstepping ftw.) So srsly. Get over it. Cry less. Briar 08:17, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
- The problem is not that they are used for farming. The problem is that perma sins are being used for farming so much, and in so many places, to the point that farming is replacing balanced gameplay. You can hardly get a group to get through the UW without rolling a mobway team, and this is clearly a problem. Not that this is the place to be discussing and making feedback on the game, and they're [planning some kind of changes] anyway.
- Oh, and let's avoid personal attacks, shall we? --Kyoshi (Talk) 08:48, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
- I know their "planning some changes". im actually preparing for it. When it happens im gonna be so ridiculously rich its not even funny. I love how you all think that any idiot with 123shadowform build is rich. Lol. Please nerf shadow form ANet. Im looking forward to being able to buy every elite set of armor in the game on every single one of my charachters. With the exception of the God awful obby sets of armor of course. Those are terrible. <.< Briar 08:58, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
- "Im [sic] looking forward to being able to buy every elite set of armor in the game on every single one of my charachters [sic]". It's funny because you actually needed SF to do that?... ~Celestia 12:40, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

- "It's funny because you actually needed SF to do that?..." I'm halfway through without perma-ing once. Ever. I only use perma for having my assassin run itself to places. Takes about half as long with perma farming, but it's not impossible otherwise, lol. --Kyoshi (Talk) 20:09, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
