Legend of Pi [Pi] was originally a PvE guild featuring many of the current members. After its leader left, the new leader brought the members to Heroes' Ascent with a new type of ranger spike: utilizing two necromancers--one with Order of Apostasy and one with Blood is Power and Order of Pain. The result was a 3-man spike with no way to prot against. Combined with abilities from the best monks in the game, the build came close to The Zaishen [Rnub]'s Hall-holding record of 26 (Pi managed 24 consecutive wins) since the spirit spam nerf in old Tombs, and became somewhat of a sensation in Factions' early days as they had several 100+ fame runs.
After most of the guild had achieved high rank, they moved to GvG, where they were almost as successful. They modified their HA build to incorporate a flag runner and managed to keep a top 200 spot (then meaningful) on the ladder, peaking at the high 60's.
After numerous breakups and reforms (most including merges with FavR and Rnub), Pi reformed with most of its original core members, and now participates in daily Guild Battles to pass the time. Despite their refusal to run gimmicks, they fare moderately well against better ranked guilds. When they're not PvPing, they're usually doing Hard Mode missions with each other.
The guild's favorite quote is "Shard's not in Pi," which was the typical response to Shard's (a common Pick-Up player for Pi) frequent trash talking against other teams. They joke about it these days because he is now actually in Pi.
