Greener[edit]
This request is for the sysophood of Greener (talk • contribs • logs • block log).

Candidate statement[edit]
First off, I have no intention of breaking the wiki.
With that out of the way, my reasons for starting this RfA are simple:
- We have had another sysop needing to take time away from the wiki, and having an extra hand around here cannot hurt. I’m on at odd hours of the day/night, so removing / reverting vandals can happen earlier in their escapades when other sysops are not around.
- I believe I send (nearly) as many {{delete|R2:Uneccesary redirect|speedy}} etc. to GWW:DEL as J.P. does, and not being able to clean up my own dirty work has always bothered me.
While I know that there are others out there who have been around this wiki far longer than I have, and would make wonderful admins here, I am throwing my hat into the ring. I’ve done my best to help those I can on this wiki, and expanding this ability is a natural progression to me. G R E E N E R 08:29, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Support[edit]
- Support. I have often thought that Greener would make an excellent sysop. He is a solid contributor that I think will make appropriate use of the more janitorial aspects, he has shown he can eloquently and politely explain to people what they are doing wrong, and I don't think he will hesitate to block people when they truly deserve it. Manifold 15:40, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- Support. I feel that... — Raine Valen 16:09, 21 Jan 2011 (UTC)
- Support. On the bad side, Greener is what you get when you paste a teletubby onto a My Little Pony. On the good side, I do not foresee him using sysop tools to block people that often. Koda Kumi 10:33, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
- Meh. This was originally a neutral vote. I don't think Greener has quite enough experience dealing with problem users to effectively manage someone harassing him on his talk page or whatnot, but as long as he doesn't abuse his tools, an extra hand couldn't hurt. He doesn't seem to be a part of any clique and his contributions are a benefit to the wiki - I think he would do more good than harm with sysop tools. -Auron 12:26, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
- Support. Seems like a decent enough guy. Morphy 20:19, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
- Don't mind me! I'm just checking how my signature looks on a list like this. -Cursed Angel 20:32, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
- The Wiki code itself is more opinionated than this guy... IE: a dreadfully unopposable candidate. --ilr 22:06, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
- Greener's not a force to be reckoned with, but I'm sick of reckoning with forces anyway. elix Omni 23:31, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
- Support A perfectly good choice to maintain as an administrator. I can't see any reason not to support, personally. -- Oiseau | 21:19, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
- Support. I am totally in favor of Greener cleaning up his own mess. On a more serious note, Manifold has said pretty much everything I wanted to say. — Why 00:51, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- Support Greener is already doing much of the work of a sysop: he helps keep the wiki safe for democracy, he helps to keep discussions on topic and collaborative, and he keeps an open mind. I see strong evidence that he will be able to separate his role of contributor from that of sysop and that he will use his powers appropriately. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 00:55, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- Support. Manifold and TEF both said my thoughts perfectly. ThrainFile:User Thrain Sig.pngcontribs 01:13, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Oppose[edit]

Neutral[edit]
- Support-ish Neutral. While i overall have a positive feel over your contributions, this is a bit too early in my opinion to pick a side. - J.P.Talk 10:30, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- Tentative Neutral. Greener's really got things down here. I simply think this is a bit too early, and would like to see a bit more out of him as a regular user. -- Traveler (talk) 18:48, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- Regarding the above, I'm not sure how someone who's been here for over a year (and edited as an IP before then) isn't a "regular user" by now. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 09:13, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
- Neutral I don't he think would abuse the sysop tools I just do not know how adding 1 more sysop currently would be very useful. --Dominator Matrix 10:42, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
