Can we play Guild War on Mac Book?

I want to ask can we play Guild Wars on Mac Book?

Guild Wars is a Windows program and only runs natively on Windows. You can get it to run on Intel Based Macs by installing Windows on them or by buying CrossOver Games. See Guild Wars on CrossOver. Roar! Poki#3 (talk) 16:50, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

about my account banned yesterday

Hi, I got (Code=045) and it told me assisting with gold or items for real world money when i login my account yesterday.

I want to explain it, i just borrow ecto for my friend to make a chao glove, he say will give back to me next week and we are same guild, we have not trade for any real-world money.

I just play PVP and grow up my pve title on this month, just an exchange of unequal values trade for this times only, u can check trade with me that person, we are at the same guild more than 1 year and i know he also got 045.

I want to explain it for this reason and hope gm to be clear about that trade isnt trade for realworld money.

I already sent it to offical website" Ask a Question", but the gm wasn't answer about my reason, he reply that i violate the rule and insist me sold for real. He didn't to give me a chance to explain it.

Thanks & B.Regards, yuet --EricChiu 22:01, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

Keep in mind Support does not handle situations like these Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They're essentially "closed" on weekends. You should expect a response from them by Monday. For further support, I recommend going to |Gaile Gray's page with this issue for further assistance. Her page, which I recommend you post on, can be found here. --Strong Like Magikarp 22:10, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

Complete PC system restore.

My PC needs to have a complete system restore. Is there anything I can do so I dont loose my game?Ive been playing for over a year and do NOT want to start over.Thank you --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 205.188.117.80 (talk).

Your progress is saved on the server, not on your computer. So you'll be perfectly fine.
What you MAY lose is your .dat, which means that you'll have to reload all of the files. You can -image and do it all at once, though, and save yourself some of the hassle. User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 18:32, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
If you saved any skill templates, you may want to back them up as they are saved locally on the computer. --Lania ElderfireUser Lania Elderfire pinkribbon.jpg 18:42, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
To summarize elaborate all the above, generally any progress for a MMORPG (massively multiplayer role-playing game) is saved on the server (server side), not your computer (the client side).
There are, however, several different elements which are saved on your computer, which you may want to consider backing up.
Examples of such things include:
Screenshots (located at C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\Guild Wars\Screens (Windows Vista and higher), or C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Screens (Windows XP))
Equipment templates (located at C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\Guild Wars\Templates\Equipment (Windows Vista and higher), or C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Template\Equipment (Windows XP))
Skill templates (located at C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\Guild Wars\Templates\Skills (Windows Vista and higher), or C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Template\Skills (Windows XP))
If you're planning on backing up any of the above information, I recommend you also backup your Gw.dat file (if your storage device allows for it), preventing the need for downloading the various updates for the client later.
Alternatively, as stated above, you can simply make a shortcut to Gw.exe and add the command line argument -image to the end of the "target area" field within the properties window. Doing so downloads all known updates for the client. (Take note that Guild Wars won't actually run while you have -image added in the target area field, you'll have to remove it or use a different shortcut - or use Gw.exe directly - in order to run the game)
The short answer to your question, however, would simply be "You won't lose your game. Just reinstall Guild Wars."
Hope this helps! User Ryuu R.jpg Ryuu - Meow~ 00:07, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Nice answer, Ryuu, but that wasn't exactly "summarizing" :p calor (talk) 00:37, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Why thank you. Though, I do consider elaborating upon previously mentioned answers and collaborating it into one answer a summary. =x Perhaps not the right term, but, y'know. In fact, "elaborate" would probably be a lot more appropriate. I'll do that. User Ryuu R.jpg Ryuu - Meow~ 00:40, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

Ping Skills

How do I ping my hero's skills? Show them to party members.--99.75.34.10 01:20, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

Hold the Control key on your keyboard and click your hero's skill bar. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 01:21, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
That method can only be utilized while within an outpost. In order to ping your skills in an explorable area, you must open your skills and attribute panel (K by default), go to your heroes skills (click their image on the top), click the blue floppy disc image on the top left (blue square, whatever). Click it, give the template a name, and then select template code, and then click "send to chat". User Ryuu R.jpg Ryuu - Meow~ 01:22, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

Pre-Searing Death Leveling

When death leveling with 2 moas, only one moa levels at a time. However, if they both are killing me, are still they splitting the experience? I just want to make sure I'm not causing the one moa to level slower because of the second moa. --68.4.5.176 18:01, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Only 1 mob party will get experience, and it gets full experience. Animals are in a one-man party. The other groups don't get any experience, and you'll have to kill the whole leveled up group for the others to start gaining experience instead. Agroing more mobs is still beneficial, since they'll kill you faster. Also see death leveling. Roar! Poki#3 (talk) 19:10, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

From Luxon to Kurzick.

hello, can anyone help me? I'm trying to figure out, how to gain the trust of the Kurzicks because I have tried switching titles, and I have tried fighting in the battles against Luxon. And even if I wasn't on the Luxon's side why won't the Kurzicks let me do anything? (Merchant, Armor, Weapons... etc) How can I switch from Luxon to Kurzick, in the towns. How can I switch back to Kurzick easily? 99.252.163.223 22:12, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

Which NPCs you can talk to depends on which faction you currently have more of. Not your progress in the title, but the faction you are holding in your "faction" tab on the hero window. You should "spend" your faction first before earning the opposite, since spending it makes you lose an equal amount of the opposite faction. See Allegiance_rank for methods of earning faction. Character race and hair totally scrambled.

I haven't logged in in over a year. I finally remembered my password, and after logging in, all my characters have different appearances. I read about the update to the anim files and 3d structures, which isn't a problem - but why are my black characters with shot hair, white with blond long hair, and my long haired blond white characters black? Their armours are all where I left them, but their faces are completely different, not just in structure, but in texture.

This makes no sense, and I refuse to pay 9.99 to fix it with a makeover kit. That is ridiculous.

I'm really kind of aggravated, actually. How do I fix this problem?

If you're describing the bug I think you are, it's just a display issue that appears on the character selection screen, and goes away once you use that character once. Manifold User Manifold Jupiter.jpg 03:11, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
