Dialogue[edit]
Initial Dialogue[edit]
- Warmaster Tydus
- "I'm getting reports of scavengers in the ruins of the army citadel in Old Ascalon. I sympathize with the poor, but anything left in those ruins is the property of the King's Army. I need you to investigate and clear out any scavengers."
Intermediate Dialogue[edit]
- Thaddiel
- Thaddiel: "Lovely day out there, isn't it? Is there anything I can help you with?"
- Player: "Scavengers in Old Ascalon"
- Thaddiel: "I'm not sure what to tell you, 'cept I don't know anything 'bout anything what isn't legal."
- ⇒ Possibility 1: "What are you doing here?"
- Thaddiel: "I might ask you the same thing!"
- ⇒ Possibility 1.1: "I have orders to clear the area of scavengers."
- Thaddiel: "Best of luck with that. Perhaps I'll stay and help you. Is there a reward?" (You can choose possibilities 1.2, 1.3, 1.4)
- Player: "Only if you make yourself useful."
- Thaddiel: "Hmm... I can see, there's no future in this. I don't have time to stand here talking all day. A fellow's got to make a living if he's going to survive in this world."
- ⇒ Quest is updated.
- ⇒ Possibility 1.2: "These items are the property of the King's Army."
- Thaddiel: "What use can the King's Army have for this junk? I mean, really, if I was some sort of scavenger, I don't think I'd bother with all this rubble. Gots plenty of rocks and dirt at home, you know."
- ⇒ You can choose possibilities 1.1, 1.3 and 1.4.
- ⇒ Possibility 1.3: "Enough games. Be gone with you."
- Thaddiel: "Leave me alone. I've done nothing wrong."
- ⇒ End of dialogue, start again.
- ⇒ Possibility 1.4: "Let's start over."
- ⇒ Start again from the beginning.
- ⇒ Possibility 1.4: "Let's start over."
- ⇒ Possibility 2: "I heard you talking to yourself."
- Thaddiel: "Oh, that wasn't my voice you heard."
- ⇒ Possibility 2.1: "It sounded like you."
- Thaddiel: "Yeah, I get that all the time. Some people have faces what make you think, "I've seen that fella before". I've got a voice like that."
- Player: "There's no one else here!"
- Thaddiel "Well not anymore. Probably scattered when they smelled ya coming."
- Player: "It sounded like you."
- ⇒ Start from possibility 2.1 again.
- ⇒ Possibility 2.2: "I don't see anyone else here."
- Thaddiel "Well not anymore. Probably scattered when they smelled ya coming."
- Player: "It sounded like you."
- ⇒ Start from possibility 2.1 again.
- ⇒ Possibility 2.3: "Let's try this again."
- ⇒ Start again from the beginning.
- ⇒ Possibility 2.3: "Let's try this again."
Reward Dialogue[edit]
- Warmaster Tydus
- "So you had a run-in with this scavenger Thaddiel, did you? From what I've heard of him, I do not doubt he will attempt to return, but my men will be instructed to keep an especial watch for him. Good work clearing the ruins."
Notes[edit]
- Originally, the Battle Axe (hatchet) that is given as reward in this mission, had different upgrades, allowing to put two grips at the same time. Doing this, for example, combinations of two Axe Grips of Enchanting were possible, providing a permanent +40% longevity in enchantments. This was modified in the December 20, 2005 game update and all the axes inside the game were forcibly changed to the current one (including the ones inside the inventory backpack).
