IMO, all these inspiration staffs are the useless ones. Other professions get primary linked ones, but we get an attribute we barely need to use in PVE. Pretty much all mesmers will have points in FC. -Maskeus 19:31, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

You're missing the point, which is the req is not important because of the damage but because of the linked recharge/casting speeds mods. With a FC req staff you can't have domination or illusion spells cast and recharge faster apart from the baseline 20%. Even though mesmers have points in FC, they hardly use any FC spells. The wanding damage is negligible on a mesmer, especially in PvE. You want them to keep casting. It is a great drain mesmer staff in PvE though, as you want the energy mods there.
