So I am confused. Because it says attacks and not just weapon attacks. Does that mean my attacking fire spells will also deal more damage or not?--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:137.142.81.169 (talk).

it means any weapons eg, sword, axe, bow, rod, staff etc, but not spells.--My user page :) Sum Mesmer GuyTalk to me NOW!! DO IT! See what I've done;) 19:03, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

This Skill DOES NOT Affect Spells[edit]

It says attacks, not spells. There's a difference between the two, if it DID affect attack spells, spells like Lava Font and Fire Storm, not to mention Meteor Shower and boy I could just keep going on and on, would be sooooo overpowered. 76.235.135.238 23:18, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

+20 damage x 3 for Meteor shower isn't that much, would be better in fire storm. Justin6 User Justing6 Justing6 siggypic.png 02:37, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Flare would be massive pwnage. Better yet Stone Daggers with Conjure Ebony. StatMan 02:40, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Update[edit]

Does it still affects hundred blades?217.121.213.138 16:01, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

I believe it does not affect the secondary hits, since you don't actually hit the secondary targets. StatMan 06:00, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Check the HB discussion page. It says there that people have tested and HB doesn't work with anything but Mark of Pain anymore.

How About This...[edit]

OK, so you've got a Warrior primary with Elementalist secondary. The Warrior has a maxed Norn rank, with "Dodge This" and "I Am The Strongest" on the skill bar. Give the character a fiery upgrade to the weapon and increase his attack speed and he's doing +40 damage with every hit, with another +20 for every time he uses "Dodge This". That's a rank 15 "Power Attack" with every hit with the occasional +20 damage every time you get four adrenaline. If the warrior has 14 Swordmanship he also has Galrath Slash or Silverwing Slash (+37 damage at rank 14) if he wants to use high-adrenaline-cost skills. Granted, this is a purely PvE build, but I still think its interesting to see a Warrior hitting for +40-97 damage with one attack. I would definitely like to try this out and see how it does, but I don't have a Warrior or any empty slots on any accounts. - Ara Ara 20:33, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

pretty common setup there really, adding whirlwind attack gives you a cloud of big numbers if you're positioned properly, couple that with the axe mastery skill cyclone axe, granted you will have to drop galrath for exe(or better yet body blow, cheaper and more +dmg since your str is higher) all in all it's been seen before and done before but it's still fun being a tornado of destruction. Pretty awesome[edit]

Combine with Kindle Arrows, maybe toss in some Read the Wind, add some attack speed enhancements, leave to boil for 40 mins...easily one of my favorite Ranger secondary profession uses. You don't even need a fiery bowstring! Very nice on any spiker build. =D Green Arrow 02:15, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

You mean Favorable Winds. Read the wind is a preparation and will cancel kindle arrows, and thus make conjure fire not work unless you have a fiery string. StatMan 02:36, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Oh yeah my bad, lol, I meant Favorable Winds. Green Arrow 20:01, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Double Dragon[edit]

I wouldn't mention double dragon synergy just for a few more damage points on conjure, but when double dragon is an area nuke for 5energy ... things get interesting. I'm probably the only person who misses the old dervish mysticism, where ANY enchantment (such as flame djinn when it was 10 recharge) was cheaper. 75.158.134.214 06:21, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

Possible Bug[edit]

During my latest Rragar's Menagerie run with the Charr Axemaster and Charr Blademaster, got curious on how Winter would react with Conjure Flame (and Conjure Lightning). Since those two foe types use CF, I'm assuming that they also have fire damage axes and swords (or the skill would be useless). My guess was that Winter would convert their weapons to cold damage, negating the bonus damage from CF per the skill description; however, I tested this with my ranger equipped with a fire bow and CF on a 100 armor dummy and the damage seemed to be the same with or without Winter. Anyone know more about this? Lord Flynt (talk) 23:40, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

Error at bottom[edit]

"The skill's armor-ignoring damage is added on every hit, including those from skills dealing multiple attacks, scythe attacks, and dual attacks."--description says "arrows" not "attacks"--Saxazax (talk) 01:04, 4 March 2018 (UTC)

What? I don't see any specific thing that relates to arrows. Loggy (talk) 05:26, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
Somehow my brain conflated Expert Focus and this skill--100.33.26.242 16:27, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
