Talk:Conviction
Addition[edit]
I found that this skill is also offer by the skill trainer at The kodash Bazaar. It should be added to the list of available Skill Trainers. --Sol 03:27, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
How does it work?[edit]
Do you only receive the +1..4 Health regeneration if you are not enchanted? I want to know if investing 8 in Earth Prayers is worth it or not, to attain +3.--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Euphoracle (talk).
- Yeah, just as it reads. It's either or. If enchanted you get 24 armor regardless of Earth Prayers, but if you aren't enchanted, you get the health regen. Woop ‧ talk ‧ 04:22, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, ok, thanks. Euphoracle 22:19, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Glitch[edit]
I used conviction in hero battles, but it doesn't show the regen, anyone know why or care to explain.00:51, 10 February 2008 (UTC) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Ace (talk). Did the regen take effect with invisible pips or did you just not get regen? Ojamo 22:28, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
I didn't get any regen Ace 01:51, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- because you were enchanted? Close Impact 18:22, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Odd.[edit]
I use Conviction and for me it should be lasting 23 seconds but when I activate Flail, it completely kills Conviction. I don't read on either of the skills that it should do that.- Vanguard 17:03, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm a moron. I didn't realize Conviction was a stance.- Vanguard 01:47, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Was trying to find a def stance for my tahlkora and was thinking dark escape r3 = 7sec...this skill can be up 75% of the time and she meets both reqs for it all for 6att points... Justice 09:28, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
+50% Block?[edit]
I notice that unlike Veil of Thorns, this gives +50% chance to block rather than 50%. Does that mean it stacks with other blocking effects for potentially 100%? 99.246.26.128 06:25, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
- No, it's just a failed concise description. elix Omni 06:29, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
In Re Sentry insig?[edit]
Does the armor bonus from Conviction stack with the +10 from the Sentry Insignia or does it cap out at 25? Want to know so I can calculate dmg before battle. Thx in advance! ~ A R A ~ 02:29, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
It stacks. 81.206.12.232 12:48, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Pious Restoration[edit]
There seems to be a disagreement on whether this skill provides synergy, given that it removes conditions upon ending, therefore removing conditions and hexes when paired with Pious Restoration. I'd venture that the same could be said of any, Dervish enchantment with an end effect - and that the other qualities of this skill can easily be found in several others, rather than requiring this page have a note in particular. -- Oiseau | 22:15, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- You might as well say "this skill synergizes with every teardown skill in the game." Koda 22:59, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- I think I said a similar thing on Pious Restoration's talk and it seemed to reach resolution there. -- Oiseau | 23:24, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
conditions are cured before the hit lands.[edit]
Isn't this a general statement about the mechanics of when attack skills remove enchantments? It doesn't seem unique (or unexpected) that Conviction's end effect takes place when the enchantment is broken by the character's use of an enchantment-removing attack skill. In particular, all teardowns that are attacks have descriptions that begin with losing a dervish enchantment; this loss is not dependent on hitting the target.
It seems to me that if the note belongs anywhere, it would be on the teardown article and not on each specific enchantment with an effect-on-end. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 00:37, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
- Condition removal does seem useful enough to be noteworthy. Though it would also belong on Grenth's Fingers, Enchanted Haste, Ebon Dust Aura and Avatar of Melandru if kept here. 24.197.253.243 01:41, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
- If people want information about how a skill works, they visit the wiki page for the skill, which should provide the player with enough relevant information. Considering the moment of condition removal is a very important aspect, I would say that it should be in Conviction's page. There is also no link on Conviction's page to teardown, so placing relevant information there instead would only conceal it from the people it is meant for. Koda 13:50, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
