Does anyone know if this skill works well with a hero monk and a hero MM? -Lucci Slevin

According to the description, it will work well. --People of Antioch talk User People of Antioch sig.png 03:23, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

WTB Buff plz. Heal for more, perhaps cut the cast speed to 1/2. --People of Antioch talk User People of Antioch sig.png 03:22, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

First, it doesn't work with Heros. Second, this definitly doesn't needs any buffs. It is - by far - the best healing skill in the game, better than any elite. Using this on a bunch of dying Shambling Horrors enchanted with Jagged Bones usually results in team heals for far more than 1000 hp; actually up to several 1000 hp heals during the enchantements' duration when playing with 8 team members and having a lot of dying minions. For just 5 energy. --Xer 18:26, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
I deem thee noob. 173.67.13.30 05:41, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
pardon me, lolwut? obv you have never used this, even before the AI buff it was an incredible heal for MM groups. before deeming someone nub, try being less of one yourself. Chao 05:54, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Pretty sure he said "noob" because Xer said it was "better than any healing elite. Despite the fact that it requires something to die before it heals anything. It's useful in PvE, but it's not that good. User Bathory Spirit to Flesh.jpg Bathory talk 09:16, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Game Update 2008-05-08[edit]

"Improved Hero AI for using the Monk skill Dwayna's Sorrow."

Anyone tested if it's working? --Alistair Cookie Ritualist-icon-small.png 20:41, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

TESTED: Works perfectly, It might get overspammed as your Hero will try to keep it on ev'ry one but since it's 5 Energy it shouldn't be too much of a problem. --Alistair Cookie Ritualist-icon-small.png 21:00, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

You know... That's pretty awesome. -- Mini Me talk 21:33, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Very nice, indeed. This should redefine playing alone with Heroes entirely - making it far more fun. Nice Job, Developers. --Xer 12:27, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

MM Bomber + DS?[edit]

I am guessing that this skill works in conjunction with a MM Bomber... so everytime a minion dies, it Death Novas the foes and Dwayna's Sorrows heals the whole party? SabreWolf 00:00, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

Lol. -- Halogod35 TALK TO ME NAO plz. :D 04:22, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

I just don't see the point[edit]

Don't you want your team alive?! Why the fuck do you want to bother putting this spell on an ally if you want them alive. This is not like death nova which can be highly offensive and effective. It's stupid. Even if your ally is going to die and you want to cast this on them, you'd be better off using Word of healing or another large heal. Yes this can work okay with minions but you often want them alive too...

Minion Bomber... Ɲoɕʈɋɽɕɧ 03:37, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
It's pointless to keep minions alive unless they are Fiends or Flesh Golem(s)... this works nicely when thrown on expendable minions, but it can be a problem in that it takes up a valuable skill slot in a bad attribute. Vili User talk:Vili 03:41, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Healing Prayers is bad? Ɲoɕʈɋɽɕɧ 03:46, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
No...you would want to keep all your minions alive in some situations. Fiends don't provide any body blocking and you can only have one flesh golem at a time. And lol @ "bad attribute." That attribute keeps people alive. Restoration magic pales in comparison. 71.255.227.224 18:32, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Redbarring doesn't keep people alive. Prots do. Vili User talk:Vili 07:59, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Prots don't keep ppl alive, they buy the Healing Prayers monk enough time to heal them. Both are bad without the other.Crimmastermind 08:14, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
To make it clearer, a party of only Protection Prayers or a party of only Healing Prayers is worse than a party with boith attributes, except for some cases where bonding is better than keeping everyone alive.Crimmastermind 08:17, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Are you kidding, crim? Please tell me you're joking. -Auron 09:29, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Lol @ bonding. The best monk backline you could have would consist of one prot and one healer. That's the standard backline for any GvG/HA team build. 71.255.242.196 22:03, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

The skill makes sense and is viable as is but i wouldnt mind seeing it in a more active role. Two skills that make me sad when seeing people use them in co-op pvp or pve is death nova and Dwayna's sorrow on other party members...what faith in your team. Death nova is acceptable simply because of the minions in the same attribute. Dwayna's Sorrow is just a backwords skill in its line, healing prayers. Some kinda functionality change would be welcomed by me.--Justice 06:58, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

It's great if you have a MM. The MM does not have to be the one using it. It's like a heal party every time a minion dies - convenient if your team and minions happen to be getting nuked at the same time. Or if your MM has maxed out and is creating minions at a fairly quick rate. So I'm happy with the skill as it is. The problem is if heroes run far far away to cast it on some dying ally. 60.50.255.120 15:27, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

Unyielding Aura[edit]

I don't think this is affected by Unyielding Aura. Can anyone confirm? --RoyHarmon 05:18, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

It isn't. UA doesn't affect spells like this, Healing Seed or Seed of Life. – Emmett 13:06, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
Think it might only affect the initial divine favor heal, not the end result heal from the skill Im an idiot, it doesn't affect divine favor bonuses. Nay the One and Only User Nay the One and Only SIG.png 03:42, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

Spirits[edit]

Does it enchant spirits and do you gain health when they die?95.180.76.188 22:07, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Spirits cannot be hexed or enchanted, so no. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted guided sig.png (τѧιк) 23:24, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

I guess the follow-up question is are spirits healed if Dwayna's Sorrow triggers on a non-spirit ally's death?

No, spirits cannot be healed; however, they can gain health. See Spirit#Spirit properties. --Silver Edge 15:51, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
