About me[edit]

Nothing special. I'm not a native speaker of the english language so please feel free to correct all my edits, even on discussion pages or in my user space. It's a wiki. Btw, I'm admin in one of the greatest wikis in the world (what could that be? ;-) so I'm quite experienced with the software itself: feel free to ask me if you have problems.

Playstyle[edit]

Although I'm a roleplaying guy at heart I discovered PvP with Guild Wars. Most of the time I do Random Arena, because I really like to the experience of random teams. Recently I stopped because increased syncing took all the fun out of RA - those pathetic players who cheat to fast farm gladiator points corrupt the game for all the the honest players.

Meanwhile I found a nice r6+ HA/GvG guild and enjoy playing balanced builds in 8v8. Before that time I had to grind my Bambi with Sway etc. and belong to those people who really dislike the process new players has to go through (I found a hilarious edit reflecting that). Since I was gladiator rank 4 and 5 (and AB rank 7) during that time I was really underchallenged and especially bored with all of the beginner's gimmick builds - too bad most teams did rank discrimination based on the Hero Title track only. So I stopped playing for some time because the Ascent ended for me in most of the cases in Fetid River.

It's really fun to listen to all the whining of r12+ players that HA is dying because all the good players left. Did they ever ask themselves why HA doesn't replace them with new good players? I can tell you: it's because most of them have to do Sway until r6 no matter what. Not bad players but rank discrimination by elitist players did kill HA. If you don't allow at least some rookies in your guild or team you mustn't be surprised if it takes ages to learn how to play for the average player. Boredom and time waste is the punishment you deserve for mindlessly kicking a player because he is one single rank lower than your team's proposed level. My guild does invite players with a much lower rank in their HA team if they show some general understanding of the game. And it's great fun to play with these people and it's fun to help them learn and grow. Think about it.

Characters[edit]

Although I like elementalists most, my main charakter is a monk for quite some time now. In Alliance Battles I usually play a healing ritualist. I have a lot of experience with my Necromancer and my Paragon. To be honest I've played every profession intensively in Random Arenas but tend to return always to spell casting classes and it seems I avoid melee based professions.
