Talk:Error code/Archive 01
For some time i keep geting disconected in a way i cant restore conection. This has been reported to support and i am waiting a awenser. This make me wonder what all those arror code mean? I hope someone with access to the strings tie to the errono could fill in the article. --Bob 03:14, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
I started a table up to 021 because it the highest errono i ever got (and still dont know what it for). Please expand the table as need and fill in any meaning you know about them. --Bob 06:19, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- There are actually over 100 different error codes see here. Therefore, making a table of all of them and what they do would seem to go beyond what this wiki is meant for.--Stormrunner 22:18, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- I would rather have the error code here on this article then on some external link to a forum thread. --Bob 07:04, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Code 031...what the hell?[edit]
What the heck?--§ Eloc § 23:25, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- They don't allow "Support" in a character's name so people don't try to pretend to be from Anet support because then someone would be more willing to give them sensitive info like they're account name/password or serial key, etc. -Smurf 23:33, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- I have been given this code again on my account - none of my characters have the word "support" in them, and I have used my characters for a long time - what does this code really mean? Hopefully I will be able to log on again in a moment...--Son of Batman 17:13, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

Error 058[edit]
Its not mentioned here, but error 58 is also shown when the gw.dat file is corrupted (although it still blames it on network error).
If you delete or rename the gw.dat file and force guildwars to download it fresh, the problem goes away.Sadie2k 23:01, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

It says I've tried to make too many characters recently, what's the problem? — Skadiddly[슴Mc슴]Diddles 21:45, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- It's not on the error code list on the wiki, if this is the new way to prevent chat spammers, please remove, rapid deletion of PvP characters is necessary. Plus, there's the fact that I haven't made a character for over a weeek and I've waited 30 minutes and am still getting this message. — Skadiddly[슴Mc슴]Diddles 21:55, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

- This code was already introduced before Guild Wars released? Wow...i recently got this code as well twice when i created both PvE and PvP chars of both genders to check the inventory icons and get them into my gw.dat. I actually couldn't figgure out any similiar situation that lets you act like that. That's a really weird error code^^ btw, i noticed a bug when doing so...but i'm to tired to write him down yet, as this page would be the wrong place at well, right? maybe tomorrow...wanted to say this day in the noon. *yawn*... —ZerphaThe Improver 05:14, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

1751336[edit]
I've already mailed support about this, but it always takes them awhile to get around to answering me. I ended up trying to purchase the bmp and some character slots in the in-game store and I got the phrase "declined" error 1751336. Brand new card, no reason for it to be declined. Anyone ever heard of this error before? - Marisa 06:21, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- Some banks are refusing to do overseas transactions due to the rising number of fraud cases(If you are in America, it goes to Scotland if I recall correctly) and will block your card. 68.185.195.210 01:59, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
I am having the exact same problem. For the record I am in Canada, trying to pay with a Canadian card.
Spoke with the Mastercard gods on the phone concerning why my Vanilla Mastercard was being declined, and they declare "thou shalt wait one hour before card use". Kyubiko 02:12, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- hmm so it's not just me with my vanilla visa huh? i first tried this card when i attempted to lay down a subscrip fee for F-ll-n E-rth (so sue me! lol) and it wouldn't take. I was able to physically use it in a RL store with no probs. Now I just tried buying the Dwayna and Grenth costume, and I get the 1751336 error code. Code 043???[edit]
It says that I cant make more charracters because all my slots are used, but I am sure I have one free... How do I solve this??? |Cyan LightHere!| 13:33, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- Solution: Run the programm again.... Maybe this code must be add to the error code list |Cyan LightHere!| 13:50, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
On a different discussion, but same error Code=043 topic, I have found that when the game mistakenly provides "extra" character creation slots, this error will show up when trying to use any of the "extra" character creation slots. The error does not show up until the very end of the character creation process, after you have found an available character name.
For this situation, logging out and signing back in (for me) has cleared up the false "extra" character creation slots.M4411k4 08:01, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
Since the misspelling of "character(s)" in the second sentence of error Code=043 was brought up, I thought I'd add an image source of it. Hopefully those who were wondering about it will see this. The screenshot was taken March 3, 2010. M4411k4 10:42, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

It's already mentioned in the article, but with no reason or link...here; "Your transaction is still in progress. Code=1751058[edit]
I just baught some add-ons for my account and after purchasing them I realised that I had forgotten to buy one of the games that I wanted so tryed to purchase it and got a "FRAUD SUSPICION (code=1751058)" warning. I went to my bank to make sure my account was ok, and everything was good. I did however have insufficient funds to buy it up front but as I have a Credit card that should'nt be a problem, I should be able to get it now and pay back the credit card at a later date (like I'v done in the past). I put some money in my account just to sure (in case shomthing had been changed in the purchase system) and returned home to try again. After trying for the second time (actualy the forth as I tryed twice each time to be sure) I have still been given the same warning "FRAUD SUSPICION (code=1751058)". WHATS GOING ON?
I have used this card on my brothers account and a friend of ours too but not any time recently, not that I think it should have anything to do with it but thought I'd mention it. I also think that this needs to be added to the Error Code list. Titan Crow 17:20 12 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm having problems[edit]
Recently (past 2-3 days) I have been getting on Gw, entering pass and clicking enter. Then a 'Connecting' box appears and doesn't go away, if left for long enough it eventually either goes to char select and I get a 0% load screen to the area I was last in or I get another Connecting box appear, and if that box is left for long enough I get error code 058. I read up the page a little bit and saw this.
"Error 058

I'm not sure whether that would sort it or not. Reinstalling GWs can take so many hours if '-image'd. Any extra information on this or knowledge of if the servers are buggered would be nice. Error 050[edit]
I keep getting Error 050 but only when trying to use one specific character. All my other chars load fine. So this doesn't seem to have anything to do with the Error 005, which is the only thing entered in the explanation box.
