Are all the related skills absolutely neccisary? They're all a IAS, nothing else =\ Corpselooter 06:23, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

No, that shouldn't be enough :/ Should be some other similarity also, imo. Feel free to clean it up - anja talk 09:32, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Okay, i'll look around a bit. And u'll just take the liberty of cleaning up all the IAS's. Corpselooter 06:11, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Didnt this skill use to say "you attack twice as fast"? wouldnt that mean before you attack 50% faster? i dont remember though it could be my imagination.--Blahishness 15:33, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Heal Sig[edit]

great synergy with heal sig... Add mending to the build and you'll be owning in AB. I actually fought one there yesterday night... I can't believe why people use frenzy if they don't know how to use the skill. Oh well, a nice free kill for my ele isn't that bad i guess. --demonic barb 21:01, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Tutorial areas pretty much set up noobiness as you get Healing Signet and Frenzy pretty much at the same time in Pre-Searing, so people are like "OMG!?! IAS and Healing!?!? WOWWW!!!!! PVP TIME!!!!!!!!!" — Eloc 21:26, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Add Angelic Protection and this will be the skill that makes Frenzy + Healing Signet godly... Than 08:50, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Frenzy: How to Use?[edit]

Well, one of my friends joked that if you put retribution and holy wrath on a naked monk and run into a group of enemies with a hammer, then you can own with frenzy+heal signet on... It worked! (until the mesmers destroyed all my enchants :[) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.235.135.238 (talk).

Frenzy doubles the amount of damage you take, so also doubles the amount of damage you deal from Retribution+Holy Wrath since they trigger on taken damage. Frenzy isn't a crappy skill if you know how to use it ;) demonic barb 08:47, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
Dont use it like that though frenzy owns on a warrior and on a warrior only.(ok proly a para but not a sin and not a ranger)Lilondra 17:11, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
It is sometimes used in 600/smither builds for UW instead mantra of resolve to speed up the run... --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 77.253.69.9 (talk).

Infuse[edit]

When you use frenzy and infuse it doesn't double the damage..while on page it says it doubles damage from ALL sources. User Thunda Sig.jpgThunda 05:01, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

First if you infuse while under frenzy (and if you have both skills on 1 bar Oo) youre quite baed. But w/e infuse is lose health not damage just like life stealing doesnt realy deal damage.Lilondra 14:57, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

LOL!!![edit]

I love using this skill on touchers. Life stealing and damage are not the same, so you get your 1.5x attack speed and they don't do any extra damage. BTW anybody who uses this in PvE without a cancel stance fails. Bisurge 02:45, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Lol @ you for thinking touchers are hard :p get a decent monk and it doesnt matter.Anyone who uses it without a cancel stance fails.Flail is often preferred in pve because of the AILilondra 18:27, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

bad skill?????[edit]

whenever i use this people keep telling me this is a bad skill and shouting frenzy noob and stuff. why do people think this is a bad skill when it lets you do the most damage you can do? Burning Babies 13:37, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Likely because those people are noobs who aren't able to balance the risk-reward of it, so they think it's bad. --JonTheMon 14:07, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
It is only bad if you don't understand your opponents... I recall scoring 200+ damage on one warrior who frenzied into one of my big attackes... if you take this stance without a stance to cancel it when you see fit rush or sprint are often used then they might consider you a n00b, see cancel stance MrPaladin talk 14:23, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Bottom line[edit]

So how do pro wars use this skill ? 213.233.88.154 08:09, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

If you have trouble using this skill as described(work up adrenaline, slap on a spike, use cancel stance where appropriate), just give it some time and you'll learn to use it wisely and love it -- or, in low end pvp where res sig is not required(ab, CMs), simply throw defy pain in the last slot for damn near perma frenzy fun. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.92.47.248 (talk).
They use it when attacking, but use Rush if taking damage or for moving faster, since using a stance on an other cancels the first one, thus not taking 2x damage after all. ---Chaos- 14:59, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

I beg your pardon...?[edit]

Frenzy is generally too risky to use on non-Warriors, as their lower armor combined with the Frenzy drawback makes them too vulnerable.

Shouldn't that be...

Frenzy is generally too risky to use on non-Warriors or non-Paragons, as their lower armor combined with the Frenzy drawback makes them too vulnerable.

|Killer demonUser Killer demon User-Killer demon.jpg 19:20, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

even paragons are risky to use as they tend to fall below the 60AL mark(+40 is roughly half damage) with frenzy--without circumstancial armor bonuses, anyway. All that extra warrior armor really does do wonders for skills like frenzy, although it was better before all these additional campaigns added boatloads of skills with armor ignoring damage.75.92.47.248 09:00, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Frenzy + (-2 phys dmg in stance)[edit]

If you have frenzy as your stance, but u are using the Serrated Shield, does the -2 phys dmg come first? On my pre toon,i get hit for 2 dmg by the blood sworn, without the stance on.With it on,i get hit 0's.--Wazzup Yo Homi 14:34, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

noob: cancel stance question[edit]

so if i don't cancel stance, i'm still considered to be taking double damage even after timer expiration? doesn't the 5 seconds simply sweep this under the rug after the set amount of time? (double d and 33% IAS) I can't type, mouse, or think fast enough to take full advantage of spiking a player who is in this stance in that amount of time. Also paragon primary players have that echo that seems to be on every build bar I've seen for a paragon (-20 armor 25 percent IAS echo for hours on end) Turn your paragon into caster class armor with this. Or you can get that plus 10 armor at 2k for each armor piece while shouting. 80 plus 10 paragon/ 80 plus 20 for warrior.

I like the idea of 5 seconds of heavy IAS delivery if the darn thing will shut off after 5 seconds. Otherwise I have to put another slot in my 8 spot bar.

Late question: how did the ritualist AB'er know that his / her target at compass range was in this stance to be able to score high damage with channeled strike? Were they simply target stalking / target sniping?

RE: Primal Rage: is their a GW's Skill that earns a higher level of disdain than PR in the discussion comments sections ? (another super late comment followup by contributor paddymew.)

thank you for kind helps for this noob player (I should just say overjoyed WOW transplant instead I guess) in understanding how the stances work.

Maybe better yet, i'll just build a mesmer. Armor ignoring spell caster, (plus they can put a hex on you).

Looking at the build teams on that other website that keeps trying to exploit my java script and adobe flash with viri, there has to be someone that comes up with an all mesmer hero team. I think a 3rd mesmer can be obtained after nightfall is completed.

Well, first off Frenzy lasts 8 seconds, so I don't know where you got 5 seconds from, but whatever. After those 8 seconds the stance expires so you no longer attack 33% faster or take double damage. 8 seconds is plenty of time to notice someone is in Frenzy, especially if they are spamming it, which you pretty much want to do. It may seem like Frenzy just brings warriors down to caster armor, but importantly it also doubles armor ignoring damage, which includes bonus damage on attack skills. A cancel stance is very important for proper use of Frenzy and you need a increased movement stance to be effective in melee anyway so it is not a wasted slot at all. Knowing when to cancel Frenzy comes from battlefield awareness and experience. You want to cancel Frenzy whenever a lot of damage is about to come your way. Most people do watch warriors to see when they are in Frenzy because it is worth punishing them at this time. Misery 12:14, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
