Following Him[edit]

I followed him and he vanishes into a green smoke screen :) Waldir 07:05, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Revert[edit]

I was bringing it in line with formatting guidelines. The vast majority of pages currently document encounter dialogue on the explorable area page (do we document Devona's endgame conversations with her team on her page? No). A few, primarily relating to the War in Kryta as that is a recent development, are not documented this way because their dialogue has only just been added by editors who may not be completely familiar with those formatting guidelines. But just because those pages are wrong doesn't mean this one should be as well. --Santax (talk · contribs) 23:44, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

when i formatted this page i use other pages as my example. mainly koss and Brother Mizar i know there are other npcs that are set up this way... also @Fighterdoken i didn't delete his hm lvl i blame wiki ghosts.- User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 23:51, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
The only dialogue listed on Koss' page is the point-and-click dialogue, others are quotes that randomly appear in bubbles above his head. Conversations which trigger in explorable areas, such as this, should be listed on the page of that explorable area. --Santax (talk · contribs) 00:02, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

ok ill just compile a list that proves my point further.- User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 00:12, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

You're both right in this, people. You list dialogue set for the NPC on the NPC page, not the explorable. But if it isn't an NPC-only thing then it goes to what triggers it (quest, explorable, etc.). This one can go either way, to be honest. Greves is never seen without this dialogue, but Brother Mizar can be around without it. Since it is a two NPC dialogue, much like Gwen/Thackeray in the Hall of Monuments or Gwen/Sarah in the Underworld et cetera, it should go to the explorable to match those. But, with Greves specifically, like said he is never seen without this dialogue. And there are requirements needed to see it. Before you "compile a list" you should figure out if this should count as a dialogue like Gwen and Thackeray's or like the Suspicious Hermit's dialogue.
My say? I think its like the later - it only triggers once in a while, it has requirements so won't always be around, and it is only triggered once getting real close. -- Konig/talk 00:57, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
As of currently, this dialogue isn't listed on his page, Brother Mizar's page OR the explorable area's!
I'd take the liberty of putting it up... somewhere, but I do not have access to the WiK version of the zone(no wanted quest) nor do I know the full conversation at heart.
On a sidenote, I also have a, what I believe to be, unique battle quote for Brother Mizar, where would I put this? Icey 01:21, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
Well I came across this. But to be entirely fair that sure is a well hidden page D: Icey 01:34, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

Encounter and boss[edit]

So I just exited out of ToA and got the Greves encounter. I went south to where Greves spawned while the encounter was still going... and he as a boss was there. I don't know if this is a bug, an anomaly, or what. -- Konig/talk 20:04, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

exact same thing happened to me.- User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 22:14, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

The enemy NPC and the encounter NPC are two different ones. The encounter NPC is a lower level and does not have a boss aura, and disappears just before you reach the boss NPC. I have a screenshot where both are visible. --Santax (talk · contribs) 22:45, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
If you follow him when he leaves the encounter outside the Temple of Ages, he will "despawn" when he reaches his normal spawn point. The engageable (enemy) Greves is there while the encounter outside the temple is in progress. Gwynna Vive 06:00, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

SHOVESPIKE[edit]

AMG, trivia?--83.82.62.210 17:43, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

If you're asking if the fact that a combination of Shove and Holy Strike/Stonesoul Strike has been used, mostly in TA teams, should be added to trivia, no. Most NPC builds with synergies between the skills have been used by players as well, it would be unreasonable to list all of them. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 17:47, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Not really trivia[edit]

But that line is also uttered by Javert in the musical rendition of Les Miserables. "I am the law, and the law is not mocked" or something along those lines. User Felix Omni Signature.pngelix Omni 18:17, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I am the law is a cliche of long standing. (Mebbe there's a greek tragedy that uses it, too?) I'm good with removing it.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:48, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
