Are the rumors confirmed that there are only two hats? I got the Ice Crown from Lion's Arch, can anyone from Kamadan comment on if it was the same hat there as well? 68.215.148.37 08:31, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Looks very different to the original design submitted by Nian. Some people used texmod to make the color of the crown more like ice/white. Seriously, the dirty dark grey does not look like ice, and I expected an ice crown. A simple change in color could have prevented the longish threads about the quality of the ice crown on Guru and other forums. --Longasc 01:31, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I could see before why they would make festive hats without armor or attribute points, but after EotN and it's addition of non-profession specific hats (blindfold, bandanna, etc), I don't see the point of having them with no armor or insignias anymore. Probably because it would let low level characters have max armor on their first play through a game?

But low level characters can still reach Lion's Arch and Kamadan (especially Kamadan), so they can get the original headgear, even if they can't get one from the hat maker. - helena 14:57, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

As others have suggested, you can make it like hero armor, restrict access to the festival hat trader to be level 20. Also as stated, players can already get runs and ferries to LA/Kaineng/Kamadan so it wouldn't be that much of a difference than it is now, but there would be more selection for what people can wear on their heads. I gotta say, this was a great update. I mean I liked it before but I was so sad when it was all pale and normal, now it has sort of a glow to it like in the winning picture, and I think it looks better then before now. TY for this wonderful update.Ajc2123

Its not hair, it's a white fur liner. (The whiteness varies a bit because of ambient lighting in each location.) And yes, the fur was decided to be preferable to baldness because, believe me, the outcry about bald ladies would have been enormous! :) -- Gaile 06:27, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Some of us have been playing for 4 years but simply missed a festival or couldn't attend it for other reasons.....some of us DO have a reallife, you know? I bet he meant that.

I've been playing for 5 years. I have 2 Christmas festival hats, total, both from the first year. I don't even remember how you GET them, and will have to stare very carefully at the wiki figuring it out again this year.
