  • Have thought about this for quite a while, and I think it's important to note all events similar to it and what they have in common:
    • There used to be a "Crystal Sea" and Lord Jadoth rained the "stars" themselves down into it after prayers to a god.
    • The Jade Wind, while very different in its effects, had a very similar tie-in and sudden release of magic.
    • Forbidden magics that seared/sank the nation of Orr ... the most powerful one despite no proximity to gods
    • The Charr were directly instructed by their "gods" to invade Arah[1] which gave the Vizier an excuse
      • the only point I don't have a source on here, is that the Vizier also heard "a voice" that told him to do it.
    • The Cauldron of Cataclysm itself and what powered it. ...and our inability to destroy similar Ancient artifacts.
What I think this establishes, is that this was "willed" long before some random Charr ele boss was even born. Infact none of the charr near this thing appear specifically intended as "instrumental" in it. It's not even an issue of our characters being able to kill them; somehow not fitting the Prophecies canon where we're supposed to be too weak still. The fact they had to go through a ritual themselves to perform it, proves they were too weak also and obviously dispensable compared to other historical characters. Jaw didn't display the power for this, we simply find him in proximity to something else that was powerful enough. We see this pattern repeat again a decade or so later when Magdaer is smashed and the Foefire released. In all these situations, the power released is directly proportional to being in proximity to a certain location or artifact. --ilrUser ilr deprav.png 13:07, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
The Cauldron of Cataclysm was a gift of the titans, thus Abaddon. Jaw Smokeskin wasn't alone to power it (The Searing: "Using the Cauldron of Cataclysm and the power of their Titan gods"). The Cauldron is an artifact which (i presume) can store power. Abaddon's influence is implied here "It is said that the magic powering the cauldron was older than even the Titans, powered by beings who had long ago fallen into sleep.". He is older than the Titans, since he created them and Gods are the greater power below the Elder Dragons. And yes the event was willed from a long time. The ultimate goal was the destruction of Arah. The Searing was the key to lead the Charr army to Orr.
  • The scrolls was hidden in Arah, city of Gods. They must have been created by a God or something with godly power (Elder dragons don't seem to write). I suppose Abaddon to create them since they were hidden (he was god of secrets or others gods hide them by fear) and i knew where they were.

About the others major events :
  • The Jade Wind magic came from Dwayna's magic "It is said to have been empowered by the magic of Dwayna given to Emperor Angsiyan which Shiro stole when he slew the emperor.". Shiro's death released this power. I suppose that high release of magic help Abaddon to weaken his chains since bloodstones not only seal magic but also Abaddon.
  • I think we could destroy the Tome but he has a enormous importance for the dwarfs (like the Holy Bible for christian), Alkar was his keeper before the Stone Summit chase him. He choose to bury the tome in the waiting to get it back when the Stone Summit is chased away the Sorrow's Furnace. Ich bin marc 16:24, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
