Jaw Smokeskin is the Charr boss who performed the ritual that caused the Searing. He can be found in both pre- and post-Searing Ascalon.

Notes

• In pre-Searing, three things set this boss apart from the others:
  • Unlike the other Charr bosses, his spawning location does not change.
  • He is not standing on the altar like the three other bosses, but at the bottom of the stairs leading to it. He is usually the first encountered by the player.
  • There are no other Charr of the same profession (elementalist) in the Northlands, which also means he is the only foe that can drop purple elementalist weapons.
    • If he uses Conjure Flame, he has a chance to wield and drop a Fire Wand or a Fire Staff.
