Small?[edit]

Implying it will be? "This is a small party"--122.111.231.4 02:29, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

That part was probably copied from Birthday Celebration. --Silver Edge 03:46, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
with any luck this will kick off the winds of change Chaos Beserker 12:19, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Winds of change will probably start in the end of may/beginning of June and "WoC as a whole is getting close to a small expansion's worth of new story". 6º Aniversary build and WoC are different builds.85.139.233.160 02:01, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
I really hope that WoC does start but I also doubt it. We've had some pretty good updates the past few months and they don't usually have ~larger~ updates close to each other.--122.111.229.37 05:18, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
WoC is going to be too large of an update to roll out now. Also I think and hope they will introduce it with a few teasers, just like WiK ;-) --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 11:17, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Dragon arena[edit]

Yay another weekend nonstop dodgeball, most awesome pvp EVER--213.118.224.64 10:01, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Certainly is ;D DragonArena<3 --122.111.229.37 05:18, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

Maybe[edit]

We'll finally get the Hero AI update (which was originally supposed to come out in March) during the celebrations. Obviously I'd hope this year isn't as lame as the 5th year anniversery, it needs to do something unexpected. 68.84.38.98 10:10, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

Maybe we will finally get the mini Gaki....Come on who would not love to have that thong wearing man-goat following them around :)Sarge 16:39, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
Maybe we will finally get the mini Gaki Togo. I fixed that for you Markus Clouser User Markus Clouser signature img.jpg 16:49, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
Maybe we'll get nothing. CCCCCCCCCOMBO BREAKER. 96.240.196.191 02:37, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
I hope they finally add a paragon mini (Keiran?) only profession not represented by a mini. Ramei Arashi 18:21, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

72 months - no present (yet)[edit]

Just hit 72 months on character and account, but haven't received a 6th birthday present (yet). Maybe I wasn't nice enough this year, or far simpler, it requires an update first.

proof: User NexceveN 72months.png NexceveN 10:54, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Yup.. The update of the 28th - if it's on time - should add the 6th birthday presents and celebration changes. Funny to see there's a delay =P --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 11:16, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
John Stumme's comment on guru: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5463439&postcount=38 So, tomorrow sometime. Clobimon Craiggy 17:53, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

starting time?[edit]

If I calculated the time difference right it is the 28th already in Seatle. So when does it start, wanted to put my character on the rings during work, but it didn't start yet -snif-. Rumian 07:59, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Are you seriously thinking they will be at the office as soon as the date change just to start an event? I would guess around noon their time--Lordkrall 09:08, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Won't start until after the anniversary update is released (see the section above for a link to John Stumme's forum post). --Silver Edge 09:42, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
So much for hoping it'd kick off at noon PST NachosWitCheese 19:17, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

New Features[edit]

aparently according to massively.com there are new features coming to gw with high res textures for towns reworking of friends list a new pvp system involving a flux system to change meta more often link is here enjoy! http://tinyurl.com/3rolov8 74.90.153.162 16:25, 28 April 2011 (UTC) By the way this is obiusly for the sixth aniversary update

Does this mean no more minipets? Or are the tonics an added bonus? :) --122.111.229.37 16:59, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
I hope there are new minipets i would be disappointed if they take that away. cant wait for the update!! 65.23.249.7 17:23, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

like gw is about minipets only; they are actually the most useless thing in the entire game 195.240.98.63 17:32, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Stumme's comment on guru (linked above) sure makes it sound like minis are coming, so I don't think we should worry too much ;) 81.234.120.18 18:52, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Is it late?[edit]

So no drops yet, seems like they are running late? - Thoman

Already past 10pm and still nothing here Damysticreaper 20:03, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Content patches (which this is) rarely if ever go live at noon, it will probably be closer to 4PM PST. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 20:06, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
In any case, they didn't promise a specific time this year.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:07, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Then at least they could have some consideration for the non Americans. Damysticreaper 20:15, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
If they chose then a time favoring Europeans or another region, then the Americans would complain. There is no time that will work for everyone, so they use the time that their headquarters is in... It makes sense to me. --'Mai Yi' {TC} 20:18, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
When is this thing coming? multiple web sites say its already happing but i don't see it anywhere timmyderselts 20:21, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

ive looked the post over a thosand times i know what it says still doesnt explain y like 30 web sites are saying it started timmyderselts 20:36, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Then those 30 websites are wrong.--'Mai Yi' {TC} 20:41, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

one of thouse 30 web sites is guildwarsguru.com ... i dont think arena nets own blog is wrong timmyderselts 20:47, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

guildwarsguru isn't owned by ANet. --'Mai Yi' {TC} 20:48, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
GWGuru doesn't say it has started. The post from Stephane was from that very thread. -- Arduin talk 20:56, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
^ this one: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5464595&postcount=202 / It shouldn't be too long now. Clobimon Craiggy 20:59, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Guru does link to the official sites "for more information" as if there was actually anything about the anniversary on them at this time, though. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 21:03, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

I heard : Argos, DHUUM, Morghan, Vekk, Talko, Dunko, SHIRO, Goren, Razah, Norgu, SALMA, Zenmai, Sousuke, Hayda, PANDA (?), Vanguard Guard plus those up. Joeyw 22:34, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
I got an Acolyte Jin. --Telraven 22:42, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Where are these coming from? Are they the 6th year bday presents? Or do they come from somewhere else? --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 22:54, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Yeah. I'm surprised there isn't a Varesh tonic or a Lich tonic, since there's Shiro and Kunna. ➳Araiia 23:42, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

They are from birthday presents. I got a purple Pyre Fierceshot Tonic. 24.147.89.73 23:00, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Arn't we over 30 tonics here? Damysticreaper 00:48, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Razah?[edit]

Why is there no mention of the changes to Razah in this article? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.164.95.17 (talk • contribs) at 00:57, 30 April 2011 (UTC).

The changes to Razah seem to be coincidental to the celebrations, not part of them. They could have been added at any time, it was more efficient for ANet to combine the updates.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 01:04, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Maybe you are right, but then I think this is confusing: http://guildwars.com/gameplay/developer_updates/6th_anniversary_update.php
Slightly, but I think it's open to interpretation: it's the update released on the day of the anniversary (hence the name). That is less confusing than calling it 28 April update (which just happens to include the birthday tonics). Either way, it's an artifact of ANet's (sensible) decision to release more content in fewer releases (there's a cost to each update — testing, regression testing, documentation — which is amortized more easily by changing the code less frequently).  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:26, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Tonics? No minis?[edit]

Personally, I'm very disappointed that we get tonics instead of minis. And because they're everlasting, they don't even add party animal points. There are plenty of other minis they could have made instead. On top of that, they should make some sort of special storage area just for minis, as well as armor and weapons instead of alt char storages and Xunlai chests. Also, since these are "special" tonics, only obtained when a character reaches 6 years of age, they should give at least some party animal points just for the first use, and after that none. I'm disappointed. Tender WolfUser Tender Wolf sig.png 16:19, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

If party points is all you care about, sell your birthday tonic (I'm sure prices are through the roof right now) and spend the money on spam points. I think most people are sick of minipets by now- the more long-term players probably have several dozen from birthday presents alone, and just treat them as an objective for the HoM rather than something to actually have fun with. 96.33.173.168 17:03, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Im disappointed as well. I collect minis and was waiting for the 6th years to come (I was even trying to guess which ones were comming). I believe they changed from minis to EL tonics because they are too lazy to update HoM Calculator. At least I can save the money to buy the few minis I still dont have (thou I doubt Ill have the money to buy them all before GW2). Conde Tommaso
There were certain creatures in the world I was hoping to see miniaturized, even if I am far from six years old and have hardly any money x( Tonics can be fun, but turning into a creature is waaaay cooler than turning into an NPC x(75.70.26.188 17:29, 2 May 2011 (UTC))
Ask the live team if they could make some of those minis you want to have as an obtainable reward in WoC. Damysticreaper 17:33, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

In-game Store Sales[edit]

I think it would be helpful to update whatever items are on sale in the in-game store. Since it is part of the 6th anniversary celebration and it's going to change every Thursday. I'd like to be able to check it here rather than log in. I'm not lazy, honest :<. I'm not playing actively but I'd buy those storage panes if they were on sale, or maybe an extra character slot. Jinx of Fortuna 07:38, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

it seem the prices are unchanged, is there a bug with the store or something ? 82.224.68.40 10:47, 3 May 2011 (UTC)nobody
this week only the wedding costume prices are changed. --you like that don't you..The Holy Dragons 11:10, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
They have now announced the schedule for sales. This week is storage panes and I bought all 4. Thanks ANet! :) Jinx of Fortuna 11:32, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
You should of just waited until June for the extra character slot sale and bought 4 extra character slots instead, since the extra character slots will probably have the same discounted price as storage panes and 1 character's containers (65 items) can hold more items than 1 storage pane (20 items). --Silver Edge 05:44, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Sometimes, it's more convenient to have storage panes, so you don't have to swap toons (or remember where you hid that weapon). — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 05:51, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Sorry about this, but where can i find the sale calendar?? i've looked around and there doesnt seem to be any link available. How do you know when/what will be on sale? tele mu --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 79.169.59.209 (talk).
