Xunlai Tournament House

moved from User talk:Gaile Gray

Hi Gaile! The Imperial Herald is a cool new npc! A great way to let players know about offers outside the game, but from an npc inside the game! I also love the Xunlai lore element to it and how it works to fit the wider community in the PvP scene. I was wondering if it were possible (or if it is planned) to have the herald notify people in game through his speech of whether or not the 1v1 or GvG betting is open? Atm I think he just links you to the Tournament page and you have to check there. Also if he did a district wide announcement like the NPCs do during the festival events every 15 mins or so, more people who don't read update pages would become aware of it and it would help to further strengthen this feature. Dancing Gnome 03:09, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Nice idea; I shall pass this along! -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 03:29, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

The site says that it's now open, by why can't I make my predictions?--§ Eloc § 04:23, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Lol the predictions finished ages ago.... Yet we still dont have our rewards from them, so setting up the next set of predictions is a little premature if you ask me! --ChronicinabilitY User Chronicinability Spiteful Spirit.jpg 04:28, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Taken from [1]

Xunlai Tournament House Reopens 16 October 2007 The Xunlai house will accept your predictions for the October GvG and HvH Championships starting today. The more players and teams you correctly place in their order of finishing, the more Tournament Reward Points you'll earn. The Xunlai Tournament House will accept your predictions now through the start of the Championships: October 27 at 18:00 GMT for GvG; October 28 at 18:00 GMT for HvH. Make your predictions now! How could they be over when they started yesterday?--§ Eloc § 04:30, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

LOL! Well in that case they decided to start the October ones, yet still havent sorted the september ones! --ChronicinabilitY User Chronicinability Spiteful Spirit.jpg 04:31, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
You're absolutely right! This have been sort of backwards, and I've pass that along to those involved. The fact is, you should give out one month's prizes before you start the next month's predictions. What's going on is that the prize distribution takes the assistance of a programmer, and he's super swamped on another project. (One I think you don't know about, and I'm not telling. :) ) So he's going to do the prize distribution, I think, within the next few days. We're really sorry for the way this has sorted out, and I'll try very hard to help make it happen in a more logical way in the future. If you find that you cannot make a prediction, please let me know. That is supposed to be working now! -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 04:51, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
When I log in, the page says I haven't done any prediction yet in either GvG nor 1v1, but there is nothing in the GvG or 1v1 page that allow me to do the predictions. In Frech (my native language) it says "Aucun pronostic de disponible pour le moment." How come? Jaxom 05:41, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
After logging in and going to the bottom of the page it says that I have to make predictions for GvG and 1 vs 1, yet when I click on the little link box on the bottom it says No predictions are available at this time. I did compete in the last prediction competition, but haven't made any predictions for the October one, grtz --User Tribina Mulogo.jpg (Tribina / talk) 05:47, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
@Gaile- Is that programmer working on some new jokes for the King perhaps? -elviondale (tahlk) 05:49, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Well, thank you for letting me know, and I have sent an email to the web team and to the person in marketing who works on the Xunlai House project. (No, the programmer is working on something a bit more significant that Mad King jokes. But hey, the team is thinking about new jokes, too, it's true. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 05:52, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm a bit torn on that one... I'm all for nostalgia, yet if I'm going to "camp the king" (wow that took on a whole new meaning), new material wouldn't be too bad. -elviondale (tahlk) 06:42, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
I just tried and I'm still not able to make predictions yet. The website says "no new predictions" when I choose either 1vs1 or GvsG. Dancing Gnome 15:29, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

I am told by two different members of the web team that this has been repaired and you should be able to make predictions now. If you find this is not the case, please do let me know right away. I'll be watching the page to pass along any reports of issues. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 02:31, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
One thought....if we go ahead and make NEW predictions now...we're not going to be overwriting lasts months are we since they havent been sorted? Not that i'm going to yet, but if theres a risk i think people should know. --ChronicinabilitY User Chronicinability Spiteful Spirit.jpg 02:34, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
It works now! I was able to make my predictions for the coming tournament on both 1 vs 1 and g vs g. I had quite a lot of trouble if I wanted to move someone from the top of the list into 8th place because of the drag and drop system though. I also don't think I was able to removed someone from a box, only change their positions, unless I reset the fields entirely. But yeah, it is working now. Dancing Gnome 08:26, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

(reset-indent) I also signed up for the tournament, made my predictions, talked to Kun Shao when it was over and am still getting this response: "Greetings from the Xunlai Tournament House. Have you made your predictions for the latest monthly tournaments yet? Anyone can play. Join the fun and earn reward points for your prognosticative prowess." I really don't get it. Shouldn't he be telling me how many points I did or did not win? He doesn't even seem to recognize me as a participant. I'm really annoyed by this because I double cross-checked I got the details right. I AM signed up with my game account. I even went to the bother of registering my account at the Tournament guy so I could actually receive my points, but that wasn't it either. Gaile, do you have any ideas on what's causing this? Liselle Morrow 09:49, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm having the same problem, I figured it may be just a few days, but now the predictions are reset and we can't check to make sure we did get some points... is this the same problem that happened last month?Mcsneaksneak 06:14, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

How long are we going to have to wait before we can claim our RP's? We're almost half way to the next monthly now. --ChronicinabilitY User Chronicinability Spiteful Spirit.jpg 14:26, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

I do not know, and I'm sorry. I honestly thought they were taken care of at the same time as the cape trim, which was placed early last week. We've gotten some support tickets asking the same thing. I will ask the person who handles tournaments for a firm date with our apologies for the lateness of the distribution. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 16:28, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Xunlai Tournament House Issues Solved

After some investigation and a good bit of code-checking, the problems in rewarding the October prizes through the Xunlai Tournament House prediction system have been resolved! I'm told the next planned live build -- scheduled for Thursday, December 6th (afternoon or evening Pacific time) -- will include the updates that will place reward points on your account. Enjoy! -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 03:34, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

The November Tournament Reward Points have not been awarded yet. As you are aware the TRPs are generally given out in the middle of the following month, and I believe we're on track for that sort of distribution in December, for the November points. (I will let you know if I get any more specific information.) -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 20:56, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Cant spent tournament points

Ok, so here's the deal. According to my account, I have 100 tournament points (75 from last months guesses, go me.) So I hop on my war, and go and try to get a new weapon. I get all the way to the screen where Tolkano tells me it will cost 10 points, replace my old weapon, blah blah blah. I click accept, the menu goes away and....nothing happens. I still have 100 points, and I still have no new weapon. I am 100% certain I have clicked accept. Trouble shooting I've done so far: Attempted to get both new weapons and new armor (I can get new armor, just not new weapons), tried it on 3 different characters, tried restarting guild wars, and tried hitting decline instead of accept. So far, nothing has worked. Help, please?--Ryudo 22:03, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Just to be sure... did you try with a PvP or PvE character? If with a PvP one, With PvP customized weapons, or PvE weapons?--Fighterdoken 22:07, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Read the updates, I lied, I can get new armor. and yes, im 100% sure they are pvp weapons as I have no pve weapons on my pvp chars....and yes, they are pvp chars, duh.--Ryudo 22:09, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
I just saw some Update Notes fly by, and I think we have a bug with the weapons. Let me check on that. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 23:09, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

I can't find this anywhere. When do we get the points for predictors? Is it like a couple days after the 28th or something?Ajc2123

Yeh I asked this about 2 months back, it seems to be on average about 2 weeks after the end of the event sometimes later sometimes earlier, but the process doesn't seem to be automated so its timing is a wee bit on the random side. I'm not really waiting with baited breath this time as my predictions sucked majorly. *curses supernova jpn for getting kicked out in the first stage* -- Salome 14:03, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
To be completly honest, I just clicked and dregged at random. I don't really have the time to watch and research the guilds or anything lol. Last time I did it I got like 75 RP and I spent it on silly pvp armor, shortly after I deleted all my pvp characters for all PvE. Shoulda kept them for when the Z chest was added lol. So Jans is gonna be not for a while? Ajc2123
Also ive found very little point in researching how good the guilds are, as due to the way the tournament is constructed the 4 best guilds can be set against each other right at the very start thus meaning that 2 of the top guilds wont even make it into the top 8 due to them being kicked out in the first round, so to a certain degree its all based on luck as to whom they are gonna play and at what point, as im yet to fathom the method anet uses in constructing who faces who and at what point. -- Salome 22:40, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Andrew just had a meeting today about the entire Xunlai Tournament House system. He learned that getting the information about winners from the "back end" of the code is quite complex. After we get that information, we have to create a formal list, have it localized, and then publish it on our global websites. Beyond that, the rewarding of the tournament points for those who make accurate predictions comes sometime after the tournament winners are announced and posted. We regret that the points are programmed to just instantly appear on your XTH account, but that's not the way it works. However, as a result of today's meeting, the team members who work on this -- that's Isaiah, Andrew, and Sean -- will be taking steps to try to speed up the process a little bit. It will still take a few weeks to get those points onto your account, but we don't anticipate it will take as long as it has in the past. We ask your indulgence as we go through the necessary steps to make this happen and as we work to refine the process. Thanks. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 01:35, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Me neither Death Slighertalk: Death Sligher 22:35, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Andrew and I got our points just fine. I have an email about this, as well, so I will see what I can find out. Two things:
  1. Are you certain you had points to claim, that is, did you make accurate predictions?
  2. Did you name your account properly? Some people have not been putting a name on the Xunlai Tournament Agent account, and that makes picking up the points impossible.
  3. Are you speaking with the Xunlai Tournament Agent NPC in, say, Great Temple of Balthazar? While you put in your predictions through the website, you claim the prizes there (which I'm sure you know but am stating for the sake of completeness).
Please let me know the answers to these questions and I'll see what I can do to help. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 22:39, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
A friend and I were both having this problem at first when we checked with the Xunlai Tournament Agent in Lion's Arch. We moved to the GTOB and the agent there gave us the points just fine...might be worth a try for the people not getting theirs. —Vendetta411 22:54, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Seems to me there's the same "bug" than in october, november and december where some people, including myself, could not get their points at first and had to wait for a another update to be able to have the rewards. I happened to me in october and then again in december (I did not bet in november). Additionnally the NPC is not able to tell you that you did not get any rewards, he just tells your that you have not bet yet: "Greetings from the Xunlai Tournament House. Have you made your predictions for the latest monthly tournaments yet. Anyone can play. Join the fun and earn reward points for your prognosticative prowess!". Jaxom 07:17, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Ok, good to have that info, Jaxom, and I will relay it to Isaiah. Izzy is the agent expert, and he'll be able to figure out what's up. Thanks. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 07:30, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
2 Questions, does he say something different if your predictions were incorrect? If no can you update him to say that? And about those questions, I'm not sure how accurate my predictions were but yes for the 2 other questions --MageMontu 07:47, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
All my predications were done right Death Slighertalk: Death Sligher 8:44, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Here are tips from Isaiah on possibly resolving this matter: "Everyone should to try again and double check to see if they got their points. Also, double check their name is registered and their Xunlai account is properly tied to the game account." If all these are the case, and if you are certain you predicted some winners, please send a Support Ticket so that we have the details to research and we will do that as soon as we are able to do so. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 01:12, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Well i can't find a vote button either or save of any of the kind. please help, im like doing this for 3 months now and missed all the reward points i shouldve got due to this.

First of all please sign your comments, thank you. About your problem i guess you are in the correct webpage, you did the log-in and your predictions where made before the date limit. if not, at the end of the predictions page, you'll find the "Make My X Predictions", click on both and do your predictions in each of those pages, if you have trouble saving, it can be from two (known by me) things, you are using Firefox with NoScript, if so you need to allow GuildWars website on NoScript. The other problem can be, an anti-virus/protection which does not allow JavaScript, in this case go to that protection program and add GuildWars website, or the browser, to use JavaScript, that can be done (usually) in the "White List" of the protection software, and can usually be found in the settings of that software. You can also try other Browser if any of this problems still happens. Last point is, i assume those who had this problem talked to Kun Shao to get the points, knowing that he will only hand the points out (usually) after an update that includes the new monthly tonic. Hope this helps at least one person lol. --InflameAssassin-tango-icon-20.png 14:30, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Wiki Page for Xunlai Tournament House

Hi! :-) The only good source for any information on the Xunlai Tournament House is on the official Guild Wars website (at least as far as I have found). Even then, you have to know to go to the "Competitive" section on the menu. I'd love to help expand this article here on GWwiki, but I'm always afraid of screwing things up. lol So, I'm going to give it a stab, but feel free to change and edit as needed. I'm hoping to get things started so this can be a good information source. So many people I talk to don't know anything about it. We need some clear information so others can get involved and have fun with it. :-) I'm completely .img clueless, so I'll just do text and leave the pictures up to someone who knows what they are doing. :-) I'm going to pull info. from the official Guild Wars site 'cause that's O.K. as far as I can gather from the wiki policies ??? Mask 19:25, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

O.K. Think I got most of the info on there. I wouldn't mind a second pair of eyes to verify it's accuracy. It could probably use a little reorganizing as far as headings are concerned. I can't think of how to completely organize it. Least it's something though! :-) Mask 18:04, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Tournament Reward points temporary or permanent?

The main site seems to contradict itself. It says that the Tournament agent will appear 30 days after the monthly contest ends and any prizes not claimed after 30 days with be forfeit. However, in a star note after that, it says that Tournament Reward points are permanent for the duration of the account. see: Xunlai Tournament House Rules. So which is right?? Mask 21:53, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Both are accurate. If you don't get your points from the agent within 30 days, you can't get the points. Once you collect them, you keep the points forever (until you spend them). - Tanetris 22:19, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Xunlai Tournament House bugged?

Today I logged on my Xunlai House account to do some minor tweaks to my predictions only to notice that they're gone. Furthermore, I get this "No predictions are available at this time." message when trying to fill in my predictions again. Just to clarify, I've tried it in both Firefox and IE, doesn't work in either. 62.240.178.246 10:48, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

I too logged in today and noticed that my predictions have mysteriously disappeared and cannot make any. I hope I'm not going to end up missing out on my reward points b/c the site "lost" my predictions... --SLeeVe 18:17, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
I just checked and only my GvG predictions remained and my 1v1 predictions have mysteriously disappeared. I have to admit that nothing regarding this voting process phases me anymore. I'm to the point that I expect something to go wrong with it each month now and never expect to get the reward points. It makes getting points a bit more exciting. It's all kinda like opening up a chest in ANet HM; You have a 27% chance to make predictions and retain them.--75.42.219.59 19:03, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
I checked again later that evening and all my predictions had returned. --SLeeVe 18:37, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
statement from anet support:
Hello,
There was a bug in the Xunlai house that temporarily made it so your predictions did not show up. It was resolved shortly after it was discovered, and your predictions should not have been impacted. If, after points are rewarded, you feel you are still experiencing technical difficulties, please get in touch with support and they will assist you.
Thanks,

Claiming the points

At what point after the tournament has ended can you actually claim your points from the Tournament NPC? Everything should be setup properly (account on the site and registering from Tolkano in-game), but as of the first of April when talking to the Tournament NPC I only get gossip dialogue and a button to go to the site. Unfortunately the site itself seems incredibly vague about everything. | ThatSounds Risky | 23:21, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Xunlai House Account

Was wondering, is the Xunlai Tournament House linked to the Guild Wars account name or the PlayNC master account? Cause I just changed the PlayNC email and I don't know if I have to change this aswell to get my rewards. --MageMontu 20:07, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

well one sign your comments. Two, did you make acurate prodictions? As I just got mine Dominator Matrix 02:26, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
It may help to mention that the XTH involves a two step process: You have to register one of your characters with Tolkano. (It's sort of like saying, "This is the character I will have pick up my points ever month." You can change that designation once every 30 days, if you choose.) Then, after the rewards become available, you take the registered character to Kun Shao to collect your points. Don't worry, from what I've seen, if you made accurate predictions but forgot to register with Tolkano, you can do that after the fact (as long as you do it within that redemption period, that is, within 2-3 weeks of the points becoming available). So, say you earned some points this month, but can't pick them up. Go to Tolkano, designate one of your chars as the official point retrieval person, then see Kun Shao to get the points. From then on, you don't need to see Tolkano -- you can simply make your choices on the website and then visit Kun Shao when the rewards are put in place to collect your points.
I remember Andrew Patrick making a recommendation that we give Kun Shae more scripts. For instance, last I checked, if you didn't make enough correct predictions, you get a message telling you to go vote! We'd like to have Kun Shao offer a message that says, "Thanks for participating, but your prediction skillzz are teh suck!" Errrr... *ahem* ... I mean, "You did not make enough correct predictions to obtain points." I do not know if that sort of message will be added, but it has been suggested.
I hope this is helpful information! And thanks for reminding me -- I just picked up my points and I did very well this last month. :) -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 02:45, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
You don't have to use the character you registered with, actually. The character name you register with, from what I've seen, only effects what your HB team on the ladder (and when you enter a game) is called. I have repeatedly deleted and remade my PvP character (with different names) and have had no problems recieving points. I have also had the same name registered the whole time. — Teh Uber Pwnzer 04:35, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Well, thanks for that info! I read what Tolkano says, and I believed he said "This is the character who can pick up your rewards" but if you've found that's not the case, that's very good to know. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 04:37, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Here's an odder one... I never registered, and I can still collect my points just fine. I talk to other people and they get nothing until they register, but just today I talked to the Xunlai guy and he gave me my 50 points. Tolkano still has a 'register your account' button for me. I always assumed it was just continuing to work, since the xunlai prediction thing was around before account registering. I didn't really think anything was odd about it until today. Well, I would venture, then, that you didn't have enough accurate predictions to get points. If your certain that you did, please go ahead and write to Support and they'll forward to the person who can look up the account. However, more than 90% of those who write because they didn't get their points in fact didn't earn points. So I'd say first look at the number that you need to get right to qualify, take a quick look at the chart of winners, and if you feel you had at least the minimum for points, please let Support give you a hand with this. Thanks. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 05:16, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Why has there been no information regarding the the "alleged" rule changes that allowed Staff members to be present in the Monthly's teams (one of which was ultimately winning Guild). A Guild that "funnily enough" was heavily promoting Guild Cafe's rawr Cup? hmm? What the point in making rules if theyre going to be arbitarily changed WITHOUT Official publication? Whats the explanation for the action? Its a point of Order but an important one. You break the rules covertly once...whats to stop it happening again? Where are the assurances its a cock up that wont happen again. Please put this one to rest. Zilken 13:11, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

A Noob's Confusion

I finally played the House aka entering predictions for this round. I registered and selected a character with that Tolkono guy. Now how do I know I won points? I talked to the NPC but the menu looks the same so I'm wondering what if somehow things got messed up and the system is not acknowledging my registeration is linked to my character? Does his dialogue changes or he still askes you to go to the website to register? This whole thing is confusing for me. – User Barinthus Magical Compass.png Barinthus 16:13, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

You'll have to wait for the round to actually finish, towards the end of the month. Any points you gain will be made avaialabe in one of the first updates of the next months. Backsword 05:50, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
But isnt May round to finish? There are people talking about getting their points? – User Barinthus Magical Compass.png Barinthus 20:48, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

I checked and the account email address is there so I guess I'm registered. I just wish the interface was more clear such as "You didn't win anything for May round" or "You have 0 points to collect." So I guess I didn't win anything? There's no change in the NPC dialogue window to reflect anything like that? – User Barinthus Magical Compass.png Barinthus 21:40, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
I second that. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what to do with this Xunlai thing. Lots of good info here on the wiki, but for a player unfamiliar with the wiki it must be maddening. Ex 12:29, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

On this topic we were discussing that this article is in need of an expansion as a lot of players are finding problems to retrieve their points. I'm not good in article creation, only good in correction :P, so can anyone create a walkthrough from account creation to prediction to point pick-up? thnks for the help. --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 08:31, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

I sure would love to see a page about the Xunlai Tournament House. We do get a lot of Support tickets, and it would be super-helpful to have a more detailed instructions page, maybe even a small FAQ, to help people who are new to the XTH get into the system and achieve the maximum rewards. Receiving Points

How long does it usually take to get the points? prokiller88 19:06, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

It's normally the second Thurs of the month (2nd update of the month from what I've noticed). Plus it's publised in updates when the points are avail.

1v1 Predictions

I've noticed the past few months that the people that are sometimes in the top 8 (top 16 even) are never listed in the predictions. I just went in a minute ago (since it still shows who I chose for July but will still let me manage) and figured they might have made points at the last second. WRONG! The only one listed for predicting was The Getaway Special. When it comes to predicting I normally try to go off trends in the ladder and past performance. But when I don't see the these people on the list EVER how the heck can we predict them? Are they different accounts tied into the same registered account? If so why not just display the REGISTERED NAME and have that name also change online (or lock it out once they make the name so it doesn't mess with people) it also may give them an unfair advantage if they are experienced, use a different name, and are underestimated. Just a thought. But still, why the heck aren't the 1v1 guys showing up to predict when they are on the top 8? I've noticed this for MONTHS now and due to this months RANDOMNESS of names with a handful of names on the list (some guys are rarely listed if ever also that participate EVERY month).

I can't even make predictions, or it doesn't want to move when I drag it. Or not all the players are in it -- The Warrior Of Timi 07:55, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
I agree, it should be the registered name only that should be displayed, both on the ladder and in the potential guesses we can make. That way we at least have a CHANCE of predicting the right outcome, aswell as know if we even guessed right. Anet, please fix this! DBZVelena | (Talk page) User DBZVelena sig.jpg 13:37, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
The XTH system is slated to receive a thorough review with the objective of making it easier for you to use, and for our teams to support. There are questions, it's true, and there have been a few wobbles from time to time, with some guilds or HB player names not showing or with difficulties in making a vote "stick" after having made predictions.
I wish that I knew a timeline for this review. I know it cannot be soon, because there are a couple of other projects that are getting the main focus of the team members who would work on fixes and improvements. If you have issues, please do contact Support and let our teams help you out. We're keenly aware that a review would be beneficial for players; we also know that it would help the Support teams, too. I should say that we really like the XTH and that we're committed to making it even easier and more fun to use in the future. I'll try to keep your guys updated when there's more news to share on the Support-related issues and/or the review of the system. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 20:57, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Not Receiving Xunlai Reward Points[Informal]

Many players did not receive their reward points from the Xunlai tournament for the month of August. This is what ArenaNet and the Guild Wars Team has to say:

"Hello,

We’re sorry to hear that you did not receive your August Xunlai Tournament House prediction points. After the build on September 10th, we became aware of an issue that prevented some players from receiving their points. Fortunately, we have a full list of those who were not properly credited for prediction points, along with the exact number of points that each of those players earned. We will be able to replace those points in an upcoming build. At this time, we don’t have a planned release date for that build, but rest assured that you will receive all the points that you earned for making accurate August predictions.

We apologize for the delay in crediting your points, and we will get them into the game as soon as possible!

Sincerely, GM WUMPUS The Guild Wars Team"

ArenaNet wanted me to inform the Guild Wars community so that they were not discouraged. It is a disappointment to all who didn't get their points but it is just good to know that ArenaNet can fix this problem.

ArenaNet is interested "feedback from other players" and this will more than likely be reviewed by Guild Wars and ArenaNet staff.

Please no negative comments in this thread, thanks.

Hi. As far as I know, today's build was not going to replace missing Xunlai points, or if it did, the distribution was coincidental to today's build. We will be adding the missing points for August in with our Septembers rewards, which will be distributed in early- to mid-October. Rearranging XTH Predictions

Is there any way to remove a prediction from the list of "Winning Positions" BESIDES pushing the reset button? Occasionally I want to remove a selection from my "Potential Winners" list. I have double-clicked a selection trying to remove it and tried dragging + dropping a new selection on top of the old one. Is it just not possible to remove a selection once it has been added, without resetting the list?? Thanks. Frostty1 10:44, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

I have wondered the same, but I have never found a way to remove one without doing a reset. You can move one, but removing it altogether seems to require a redo. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 02:56, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

If you are writing Support to report an issue with XTH points, we really need both your Xunlai Tournament House user name and your game account (log-in) name. (Please, no password!) The points are ascribed by game user name, in fact. Very soon, you'll be able to log into the XTH and make predictions using your game log-in name, and that'll make things much easier. In the meantime, for any reports, please provide three things: Game user name, XTH Account/User name, and the name of the character that you use to pick up your points.
Let me know if you have any other questions! -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 02:59, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
