I have been playing Guild Wars for over five years, but also played World of Warcraft before switching to Guild Wars (though I have played WoW on and off after switching). I also own Star Trek Online and dabble with it while waiting for Guild Wars 2.
I am currently an officer in Twilight Angels [TwiA]. My first guild was Heathens of Twilight [HoT]. Eventually [HoT] absorbed Death Angels Shadow [DASH], and then merged into The Zephyr of Tyria [tZoT]. After a good run, a series of "disagreements" led to the majority of officers and several members (including myself) to leave and form a new guild. We chose the name Twilight Angels as a reference to [HoT] and [DASH]. I'd like to note here that our name has nothing to do with vampires, we've had the name longer. [TwiA] became a GvG guild, and shortly after its formation rose to become the Rank 13 guild at the time. However, real life forced half of the core team (including the Guild Leader) to take extended breaks from the game. After spending a few months as Guild Leader, I decided to merge our active members into Knights of the Round Chanus [KorC]. Unlike [TwiA], [KorC] focused on HA over GvG, although we still did both often. [KorC] was allied with the HA guilds I Swear She Was Eighteen [Gwen], and My Swivel Chair Goes Up And [Down]. Who (at the time) held Halls on a regular basis. After [TwiA]'s Guild Leader returned from his 6 month absence, we returned to [TwiA]. Since then, I have left [TwiA] temporarily on several occasions for things such as membering in a friend's guild for GvG. I also spent a notable amount of time in Kittens With A [Whip]. [TwiA] has had several swings of inactivity over the years, and although many of our members have come and gone (including myself), they seem to always come back.
