Qwido Sunrider
My first character was actually created 4 times before everything was perfect and I was happy with her. Since I was only starting, I had no idea what to do and I could hardy kill one mantid (with a help of a friend) Slowly I understood that it actually matters how the attribute points are distributed and gameplay got a lot easier... I finally got the armor of my dreams, 15k kurzick shirt and leggings, dwarven bandana and ancient gloves and boots. After I dyed it all black and got the title "friend of the kurzicks" Qwido finally became one of those people that I had always looked up to and been too afraid to talk to. Getting there was actually a lot of fun. I got myself a working build and became a protector of Cantha. I love Cantha. I've found all the best people in there and it's soo pretty. And it's the birthplace of Qwido, born in August 2006.
Neqwi Starfall
This one I created to make my life little easier so that I wouldn't always have to be the one who runs first into the battle screaming spartaaaa! At the time I had found out about titles and decided that I want to be a survivor... I'm still quite surprised that I only had to create the character twice to keep the title. I got to indomitable survivor, but then decided that it was getting too stressful (I kept having nightmares of her dying) and killed her in Raisu Palace. I got a peace of mind and was finally able to play normally. And about two months after that I noticed that I never remembered to buy her max armour.
Phobos Starfall
I decided to broaden my horizons and bought prophecies campaign. There I made my first monk, Phobos. When she was just a little level 2 in pre-sear, I went to Kaineng center and bought her her very own scar eater. I also decided that one day she would have a kurzick armour dyed silver (which was, at that time, expensive and elite colour right after black..) and started collecting amber (which was, also at the time, damn expensive). So my little baby had a bright future ahead of her and great expectations to fulfil. And I must admit, it felt really good when I was the only monk in a co-op and people tried to bribe me to come with them. As an assassin I got so used to being rejected that it was like a whole new world had opened up for me. Nowadays Phobos spends most of her time in Zos Shivros channel with her minipet turtle pretending to be a luxon. Of course deep in her heart she is a kurzick who is there only so that she can kill many many luxon assassins before they get nerfed.
Gwydion Starfall
I got my first green drop, Ryver's shortbow. I was so excited that I created a ranger to use it. He became my first and last male character. The canthan armour dyed so nicely all white that there wasn't really any options when it came to his looks. He became my little angle boy with white hair and all (eventually I got a BEAUTIFUL aureate longbow that I dyed white and it replaced ryver's bow). Naturally, a white tiger was the only choice. I named it Anaxagoras, and to be honest, I have no idea where I got it from. He always wanted to be a treasure hunter and now he is mostly located in the kurzick forest, finding chests.
Farie Alvane
My most tragic character of all (after Vima Moonrider who committed suicide after reaching level 20 and realizing that she had nothing to live for). One morning I woke up and all I could think was that I HAVE to make a girl ranger with black hair. I decided that I wanted to try to get the survivor title again, and this time only give up after reaching legendary. Everything was well, I had quite a bit experience already and I knew how to keep her alive. She was wearing yellow clothes and she was like a little sunshine. I'm not sure what happened but some time after reaching the indomitable, she died... I blamed the connection problems but it was really just me being too careless and thinking that I could do anything. Farie (whose real name would have been Farië if guild wars recognised normal letters) was killed somewhere in Sunjiang district by a bunch of poisoning Am Fah. I hate Am Fah. After her untimely death Farie firstly became a vampire just to annoy people in AB. Then she bought black ancient armour leggings and coat. And finally she got herself a crocodile companion (Leonardo), selling the old faithful crane (Michelangelo) for 100g because it reminded her too much of the sweet little thing she once was.
Morrigan Sunrider
For some reason, I just couldn't get enough of rangers... Here is Morrigan, who was created to stay in pre-sear for all her life, maybe even getting the ultimate no-life-title, defender of ascalon. She got to level 10 until I was to fed up with all the pretty happy people and their perfect country and their perfect weather and I really needed to get out. I don't really remember anything between that and where she is today... I came up with a meaning for her life and made her half-paragon for alliance battles. Of course, to do the job properly, she needed kurzick clothes and a worthy pet. I finished Factions with her just so that I was able to get myself a little phoenix. He is named after a guild friend, Athelos the Blue. If all her skills would still be the same as they were then, I would probably do a lot more AB. Morrigan is retired at the moment.
Nomi Onasi
In nightfall, dervishes and paragons didn't really appeal to me, so I decided that it was time to create myself a mesmer. From the beginning I knew that one day she would have a black outfit with gold. Her life was fairly easy, and despite all the rumours, she is NOT the black widow from Cluedo. We were doing friendly scrimmage duels with our alliance once, and suddenly my ping got up to 81 000. I heard later that all the other people saw was Nomi in a rampage, attacking mercilessly an innocent guildie who was begging her to stop, chasing her around the area, hitting her with a staff. Once in a while my messages got through and Nomi was randomly shouting YOU MUST KILL ME. Eventually they united their forces, saved Solleks and killed the berserk mesmer. Good times.
Valo Onasi
Everyone said that dervishes are so cool and so efficient. I had to find out if it was true, so I created Valo (Finnish for light). I hated it that everyone was calling their dervishes the ultimate super grim reaper and dyeing their armours black, so I wanted mine to be something different. I don't really care if their skills are so great or how much damage they do in a second. But WHAT were the designers thinking when they created all armours? It doesn't matter which one you wear, obsidian or starter, it all looks the same. How am I supposed to like this character when all I have is one type of clothes, a tight shirt and a huge skirt. Just like everybody else. How about a scarf, a beanie, pants, long sleeves, an open skirt, a jacket, wrist cuffs or dead animals hanging from the belt, ANYTHING. Anyway, since she is too ugly to be shown in public, she spends most of her time in the guild hall, eating sweets.
Sandro Alvane
I just don't know why. But I had to. So once more I had a ranger. There is just something in them. They have all the best faces and clothes. Sandro started identifying gold items to pass the time, got herself a storm bow as a gift, dyed her clothes from black to white to match it, and eventually got herself a polar bear to complete the image. She is my only hammer ranger, but I'm not too crazy about the build.
Andrea Sunrider
As my partner, Rael Harris created a necromancer in pre-sear, and I happened to have an empty slot, I decided to join him. I love Andrea's hair. And I wanted to have a mesmer that is not known as the murderous black widow. So I went for the opposite. Nomi was a dominator (sounds sooo wrong), so this one became illusion. Nomi was all black, this one had to all white. Besides, once a random person whispered me and asked if I knew where to get the skill "Ineptitude". I said that I didn't know, but he told me that it's an awesome mesmer skill. I had to find out if that was true, so somehow, with the help of my darling, Rael, Andrea found it and captured it at level 13 if i remember correctly. Right now she is one of the many characters sitting in foreign Vizunah square, waiting for someone to play with, too scared to go alone (there might be real people on the other side and that always means that it's going to be extra-hard).
Tristan Sunrider
I had tried to play necro before but I had never found a build that would be interesting enough. When I saw the design of the norn clothes for necros, I couldn't wait any longer and made one. My dream was that one day she would be an adventurer of the north with that lovely armour and a mountain eagle. After I found out how long it would take for me to collect enough points for the armour, I just gave up. I hate killing jotuns. I don't have that title, I will never have that armour, but at least I got my eagle and a build to go with it. I'm actually loving it. I just need to collect more money to dye my current armour into something more respectable.
Lei Sunrider
I have tried playing a warrior MANY times but for some reason I always end up deleting the character about at the time they reach level 20. It's just not fun. Also, there is only one set of armour that I like, and the only place to get it is in Droks. One day I was hanging in the broken Ascalon and someone was selling Murakai's blade for a supercheap prize. I LOVE that sword so much. I bought it immediately and realised that unless I create a warrior, I'm never going to see this pretty thing in action. So that's where Lei was born. she was naturally canthan and somehow won my heart. Rael was offering me a lot of help in becoming a proper warrior and I'm sure that also played a role. He also helped me to get to Droks to get the right clothes, and after that she has been my white valiant warrior.
Cabriel Sunrider
Again I was struck by inspiration, and this time it was a paragon. I hadn't made a character in Nightfall for a long time, so I wasn't aware of the terrible amount of work one has to do to get out of Istan. I hate Istan. I will never do it again, but I love this character. When I was level 19, collecting sunspear points in Kourna, I noticed that I had a survivor title track. I thought, why not? At the moment she is only indomitable, and yes, I'm already having nightmares of her dying. She is my pride and joy, but well, I'm too scared to play with her.
Orlanzo Starfall
One day I realised that I had a character for every profession (and a bunch of rangers) except elementalist. I had created many in every campaign, but they all just looked wrong. Well, the canthan ones looked wrong with their make-up, I will NEVER EVER go back to Istan and in Tyria I'm just so annoyed by the fact that if I want to get all the attribute points, I must play forever in that crazy continent where you get 500xp for doing a 2-hour quest. Rael eventually talked me into creating a water ele in there. Right now she is tiny, but If she survives the middle-age crisis when she's 20, she should be a permanent addition to my character family.
