you left a comment here and i left a question http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Talk:Guide_to_modifying_in-game_graphics#Texmod_with_latest_patch --Gigaclon 20:07, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

There was a recent update to guild wars as of this thursday im sure you already know that, but im currently trying to use my own little created mods on tex mod, theyre not working and i do believe i had texmod open during the update.

3 Questions:

1. How do i reset texmod to run itself through guild wars again? or at least align itself with the newer patch 2.I wasnt 100% sure on your advice on graphics card un-re-installing if you dont mind giving me a step-by-step walkthrough that would be appreciated. 3.When i do try to make my own mods past the update when it tries to package everything the build box says invalid definitions, i even tried it for the mods i had before the gw update any ideas?

I appreciate any help offered.

Suggestions[edit]

You know, to actually make your suggestions read-able by ANet, you're gonna have to follow the instructions at Feedback:Getting_started. --JonTheMon 21:13, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

Just messin with the layout at the moment. No real suggestions. Everything goes to the proper places anyway, all linked through the respective feedback namespaces. I'm just making them prettier, and tying them in with my userpage. Probably filling up the recent changes list though. >_> Kairu 21:16, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
I think it's fabulous. There is an extra tag in there though. I will need to figure out how to do it to mine when I finally can breathe again. <edit> lol ok.. I should just be patient and stfu. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 21:21, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
I didn't see that your pages were part of a master plan. Carry on. --JonTheMon 21:23, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Thats just how my mind works. Instead of throwing it all into one huge jumble, where a single mistake can hide and ruin things. Keep it simple, put everything into it's own template, and then just tie it all in. And thank you for the compliment Wyn! Kairu 21:26, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
You inspired me! Feedback:User/Wynthyst -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 00:01, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
Awsome! Thats going to inspire me now! :D -- Kairu 00:03, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Race names[edit]

Ever since August 2009, when the GW2 info began to be released, all race names have been lowercased. Both in references to GW2 and the new GW1 dialogue. -- Konig/talk 07:57, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

o.o;; Sry, wasn't aware. I was going with regular English. --Kairu 07:58, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Even then, "common names" of species - such as bird, cat, tiger, lion, wolf, etc. - are also lowercase. We never capitalize human unless it is at the beginning of a sentence (however, we do capitalize Homosapien). Interesting fact: Firefox thinks Homosapien is a misspelling of: Homosexual, Homogenates, Homogenize, and Homographs. -- Konig/talk 08:04, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Ah, true. I was thinking race not species. As in African and American. Not bird, dog, cat. --Kairu 08:05, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Well we do capitalize Krytan, Elonian, Ascalonian. ;) -- Konig/talk 08:19, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

Gist of what I was saying[edit]

re: This discussion of account sharing on Gaile's talk.

I probably should have added, as Kairu has pointed out... at the top. I was sure that you saw the full picture of policy versus practice, but I worried that others following along later might have missed the point in the Wall-of-Text. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:04, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Please don't misunderstand my reply as having taken offense. I tend to talk to other people as if they know exactly what I am talking about, and I usually find it hard to properly communicate what I mean in certain situations. Your summary was very helpful since you broke it down and linked to the actual post, and made sure that anyone reading that section, having the same or a similar question, would be able to understand. As well as gathering everything into one neat place. ^_^ --Kairu 19:09, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
Oh, no: I didn't think that you had taken offense. But your note made me realize that I hadn't given you proper credit for outlining the idea in the first place. In other words, this was a team effort. I was just lucky enough to post last. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:17, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

High-Res Pets[edit]

You mentioned that you had them all? What timezone are you in? It'd be cool if we could do it later today sometime, but I'm available basically whenever so let me know. I just hope they use the same textures no matter what level or evolution they are. ~FarloUser Farlo Triad.pngTalk 18:10, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

Check the Argos Soft Forum for a PM from me. :P --Kairu 14:59, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

Thanks[edit]

I was on my phone, so I couldn't check myself. Old link > potentially infected link :D . ~FarloUser Farlo Triad.pngTalk 22:34, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

Ah, I was wondering. :P Makes sense, especially since it was an ip with no prior edits.
On a side note I think I may create a bot to backup the files and reup them when they go down. Shouldnt be too difficult. -- Kairu 02:47, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
Ya know, I meant to do that a while ago, but I never did. It'd be really cool to have someone active that has a legit backup copy of the mods, we've lost a few good ones that way. If you want to do something that complex go for it, I was originally just going to dump them all in a folder on my desktop. ~FarloUser Farlo Triad.pngTalk 03:15, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
Part of the way there. I am going to have to backup to both my hard drive, as well as a remote backup. At this point I am thinking Rapidshare for the remote backups, as well as the replacement links. The main issue at this point is downloading everything. There are a few files that are direct download, but many more that require user interaction or at the very least have a landing page to hit the download button. I'm not really sure how to go about doing those. I may have to have only partial automation... --Kairu 21:26, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
