While not under Vanguard Patrol:

"Hail, and well met! You're one of those adventurer's, aren't you? I recognize your type. I know you folk are usually looking for things to do, and have I got a job for you. The creatures all over this land have got to be eradicated. If you'll help, I'll share these marching orders with you to make the job go faster."

Accept: "Killing: it's not just a job, it's an adventure."

Decline: "If you're a scout, why are you always standing here."

When asked again: "Ascalon isn't lost forever. She's still waiting for us. We just have to find the way home. Maybe we need more heroes."

Under Vanguard Patrol, fewer than 25 kills:

"Hmm. X kills? Come back when you've got a few more."

Under Vanguard Patrol, after being rewarded:

"There's no time to argue. Just get out there and do what you can. That's all any of us can do, in the end."

After reaching Ebon Vanguard rank 1, before receiving Rebel Yell:

"Tales of your heroics are spreading. I have heard that Gedrel of Ascalon [Vangurad Herald] in the Eye of the North wishes to discuss your exploits."
