Farming[edit]

Perdition Rock[edit]

There are two groups of Mahgo Hydra right in front of the Ember Light Camp outpost.

A Phantom (NPC) spawn is usually close to them, which can spam Blind on you. Avoid going into the Phantom's aggro range if its skills could be an issue. Phantoms are unlinked to Hydras, so chain-aggroing them is not an issue. Sometimes, Phantoms will spawn from the ground when you get into their range, which can force a reset of the run. It is possible to run away from them and break aggro, if there is enough space for running.

Flesh Golem spawns are also usually found near Hydras, but their aggro is unlinked to other mobs, making it easy to avoid pulling them, just like Phantoms.

Any farming build that can deal with Fire Magic spells should be able to solo farm the Hydras. Zoning in and out of the outpost to kill just the two groups in front of it is a valid strategy. The total amount of Hydras in these two groups may vary, and sometimes a third group may appear and walk towards the outpost entrance if the spawn is favorable.

Notes[edit]

Collector Gabrian trades 3 Mahgo Claws for a scroll that sells for 400 Gold to a merchant and at least 400 Gold to a rare scroll trader. This provides a return that is over four times more than just selling the trophies by themselves.
