Can this be buffed to be 1...17...20 like the conjures from ele, i understand that it can be applied to other allies but it cant be stacked with the conjures not to mention that if they have any enchant on them it cancels this meaning this might be worthless half the battle and it doesnt last nearly as long, only good side is that it doesnt need damage of the same type16:44, 15 December 2007 (UTC)\

I've got a kind of silly question: Does this apply to bows? I noticed in the text it says the weapon does more damage, and technically it's not the weapon hitting the enemies, and was curious.

Lol, it does work with bows. Dark Morphon(contribs) 10:25, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
In fact, It works with wands too ;D Halogod35 03:25, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

To the first commenter, the major advantage of this skill is that it cannot be removed as easily as an enchantment so it will more than likely last its full duration. 66.250.190.121 14:41, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

It's a weapon spell, which means it cant be removed at all. Puk 09:53, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
But it's (effectively) temporarily removed pretty much whenever an enemy attacks you assuming you have a backline that uses enchantments. 66.41.46.226 05:44, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

While the conjure ele enchantments require an ele weapon mod, this weapon spell doesn't, so you can take any mods (vampiric, ebon, etc) 213.233.88.154 10:32, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

While the conjure ele enchantments require an ele weapon mod, this weapon spell resigns you to using stupid gimmicks like rspike that have no real backline. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 00:26, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Brutal Weapon + barrage...[edit]

Does it affect all arrows with barrage?--216.119.178.127 19:36, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Yes, as each shot from Barrage counts as an individual attack, and triggers skills such as Empathy and Spiteful Spirit for each arrow shot. — Jon 19:37, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
A pity spiteful does not trigger on each arrow shot. I suppose you mean Spoil Victor. Koda Kumi User Koda Kumi UT.jpeg talk 20:04, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Removed Note[edit]

It doesn't work as it did with the old Hundred Blades. Removed note--º• Øwn •º(talk)

Excellent substitute for Strength of Honor[edit]

We're all aware of how powerful Strength of Honor is on physical attackers, but as it only works on melee weapoons, Paragons and Rangers get left out normally. Of course, we all know melee heroes suck, but Paragon and Ranger heroes are both pretty decent, so this skill can be useful there. Currently using it in my hero set-up which consists of half a team of Paragons, and I've been impressed with the results.

The enchantment limitation isn't a problem as the only enchants being used are Shield of Absorption and Protective Spirit, which are only applied when required, with the Paragon shouts/echos and a communing Ritualist handling the rest of the defense, and it fits very nicely onto a Soul Twisting Ritualist Hero's bar, whom can maintain it on three Paragons or Rangers at once.

I realise Orders can just be used to buff Paragons and Rangers instead, which are mutually exclusive with this, but they tend to require a hero dedicated to their application, whereas this can be added as a mere-side afterthought, and at least as far as damage is concerned, this is just as effective. It'll of course still stack with Ebon Battle Standard of Honor too just like Strength of Honor would, for some massive DPS combined with Spear or Bow attacks overall. It's not as strong as Strength of Honor, but it's the next best thing, and there's definetly something to be said for being able to attack at range instead of needing to close to melee. --90.222.12.150 08:40, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

Stacking?[edit]

Does the damage bonus from this skill stack with the damage bonuses provided by Favorable Winds and Read the Wind? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Recon legend (talk) at 16:17, 10 March 2012 (UTC).

The answer based on the widespread usage in builds with Glass arrows + dual shot - yes. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 19:36, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
