Notes[edit]

  • The damage reduction increases with every hit received. Damage from the first hit will be reduced by 5, damage from the second by 10, damage from the third by 15 and so on, until the enchantment ends or is recast.
  • This skill is particularly useful for a tank absorbing a lot of damage. For a low armor rating tank being hit rapidly, coupling this skill with Spirit Bond is extremely beneficial, as Spirit Bond takes care of sustaining the tank at first, and thereafter Shield of Absorption usually reduces any damage to zero.
  • Combines well with Seed of Life when the target of both enchantments is under heavy attack (e.g. a character tanking).
  • One of the better enchantments to use with any way of extending Monk Enchantments, such as the Of Enchanting Weapon upgrade and Blessed Aura due to how this enchantment improves its effectiveness the longer it lasts.
