This is what Bloodsong shoulda been. For the longest time, I thought Bloodsong stole HP for you but it didn't.--Eloc 03:49, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

Why would you think that blood song says nothing in its description to imply it steals health for you. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:82.39.38.76 .

The 82.39.38.76 is right, there is nothing to say that Bloodsong steals health for you. it steals health for its self thus keeping the spirit alive. --Jamie (Talk Page) 00:08, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Umm so? Not everyone reads the description perfectly and knows exactly what the f*ck it means right away. Alot of people don't even know what an anomaly is. I was only stating my opinion. No need to bash it.--§ Eloc § 02:45, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

That's just eloc, try not to look at him funny xD -FireFox Image:firefoxav.png 17:37, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Hey! I also thought Bloodsong would stela health for me, not itself. For quite a long time. It's not really obvious ;) - anja talk 18:03, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Agreed, I thought Bloodsong stole health for me at first too. After all why does the spirit need health so badly? Upon reading it closer and noticing that it won't give me health, I was much less enthused with the skill. This skill, however is awesome. *Staples to Rit's skill bar* - Image:User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 14:38, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

As of the 17 July 2007 update, Vampirism allways steals 10 health (0 Sunspear rank) regardless of your Sunspear rank, also it does not trigger the Painful Bond extra damage. This has been reported on several forums. Miss Carlina 08:10, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Well, Bloodsong steals health, making it a prime target for skills like Gaze from Beyond, which is probably why it was moved to Channeling. - Da Si

Note: If two of your party members bring this skill, only one of these spirits will be able to be used at any one time. In other words, when you cast one spirit, if nother party member casts another Vampirism spirit, it will cancel the first one out.--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:82.3.203.58 (talk).

[edit] Effects

it says it steals 10...20 health AND heals u for 10...20 health does that mean when it attacks it gains 20 helth that it stole AND completely seperately heals u for 10...20 health?

Yes, that is how it works. --Kale Ironfist 11:52, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Picture

What is the picture supposed to be of? Looks like something drastically... weird.

I think it's supposed to be a squirt of blood, but in the Ritualist icon color. It looks suggestive, I know. >.< RitualDoll 21:06, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Gross... - 79.74.34.21 15:47, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Interesting choice, could have used Image:Pure_Was_Li_Ming.jpg (looks kinda bored) or Image:Resilient_Was_Xiko.jpg or Image:Energetic_Was_Lee_Sa.jpg (looks happy). Or Image:Grasping_Was_Kuurong.jpg (Grasping Was Kuurong...lol). - Elder Angelus 14:02, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

I wish they would change it, it's too gross to use 74.184.5.4 04:44, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

just ignore the picture an use the button hotkeys. Fortunately, im not a ritualist player. Dont blame Anet though, its not their fault the ritualist color tinted it to look...........weird.....--Raph Talky 03:47, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
I think they purposely did it.--92.2.174.14 16:41, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Anet isnt like that. If they were, they probably would have done things similar to AoC and make this game rated M--Raph Talky 18:40, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
The skill icon looks like semen--92.2.174.14 01:10, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Lol straight to the point there. Thrash 00:07, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Scourge Healing

Does the ritual trigger it? BlazeRick 18:38, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

big chance it doesnt, as this is life stealing, not healing 84.192.144.207 14:32, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
He/she probably meant the separate healing effect. Noctarch 02:50, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Bugged?

I've noticed that sometimes, Vampirism doesn't attack while other spirits do. Also, it seems to have an abnormally short range. I've tried moving it around with draw spirit and summon spirits to get it to attack, but when it's in a situation where it isn't attacking, it simple doesn't attack until that creature dies and it finds a new target. Is anyone else experiencing this? 64.231.252.58 22:34, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

No, never experienced this, but then again I've only used Vampirism by itself. Maybe try reporting this at User talk:Mike Zadorojny/Guild Wars Miscellaneous Bugs. — Eloc 06:14, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Yea, it does that. Not sure if they fixed it yet, but tell me if they did. Justin6 05:57, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Scourge Healing

Does affect this.

The spirit steals health, but you are healed in the same way healing works, not life stealing.

As in, you don't gain health like you do from Vamp. Gaze, you gain it like you do from Orison of Healing.Quetzal 19:10, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
