Buy Value is what it (approximately) costs to buy the item at a Merchant or vendor. Sell Value is how much they'll give you for said item. BV/CZ-Coin is simply the Buy Value per Copper Zaishen Coin. SV/CZ-Coin is similar. Keep in mind that BV/CZ-Coin is the important value if you are intending to buy the item and use it. SV/CZ-Coin is important if you're buying the item to sell elsewhere.

BV/CZ-Coin = ( Buy Value - Gold Cost ) / Zaishen Coin Cost SV/CZ-Coin = ( Sell Value - Gold Cost ) / Zaishen Coin Cost

Certain items were included ( Fissure scrolls, Urgoz/Deep scrolls, etc. ) or excluded ( Scroll of Hero's Insight, Underworld, etc. ) based upon whether the merchant was selling them at their lowest values, and therefore are somewhat fixed. Items like the Creme and Firewater were included and a cost was estimated based on similar items being sold at certain prices ( Sweets and Drunkard points were both evaluated at 200 Gold for the Buy price per point, and 100 Gold for the Sell price per point). Party Animal items were not included, as I don't remember there being any merchant in the game that sells items granting those points supplied in infinite amount at a fixed cost.

Small Equipment Packs are the best thing to spend your money on to easily turn your CZ-Coins into cash quickly, as you can sell those to the merchant. Cremes and Firewater will net you a slightly higher value per coin, and the value you should get per coin will be somewhere between 9.8 and 4.8, depending on what the market price is. These items are also the best options for earning the most value for your coins.

If we hold this theory about the most value we can count on getting out of our coins, we can make the following assumptions about prices of items that can't be found directly in merchants nor in any indirect manner (with all assumed BV/CZ-Coin and SV/CZ-Coin being 9.8 and 4.8, respectively):

What exactly does this tell us? Let's assume for a moment that all Z-Coins could be traded. If such was the case, then according to these numbers, a person would never want to use their Z-Coins to acquire the listed items unless their Buy or Sell values were greater than or equal to what they are estimated to be here. To do so otherwise would mean that they would be losing value on their Z-Coins. However, it is not forseeable that ANet would change the system to allow Z-Coins to be traded, and so these prices can only be seen as estimations for the minimum value an item must be for a person to consider using Z-Coins for it. These estimations end up being very lose in particular for items that are exclusive to the Z-Coin system, such as the higher-tier Equipment Packs or new Zaishen items.

Ultimately, what these calculations can serve to be a resource in the argument as to whether the rewards for the Z-Coin system are too expensive or not. By comparing these estimated values to one another, people can decide whether certain items deserve to be made cheaper or more expensive. 130.101.94.106 02:36, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Update.[edit]

Needs to be updated. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 4:18, 3 Jun 2011 (UTC)

If you could give me a hand with putting in the missing information (that I do not know how to calculate) that'd be wonderful. Don't how to sign. Sierra Invenio

Put in the gold costs for the Envoy Weapons. Maybe you should spend less time playing guild wars and more time redoing elementary school math :P Nate58dawg 19:21, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Ouch bro. I'm 16. I'm unaware of how to get the unit costs for the crafters from just that table, I had forgotten to come back to this when I'd returned from vacation and been able to actually go online. Sierra Invenio 08:23, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
