Dialogue[edit]

Initial dialogue[edit]

Instructor Ng
<Character name>, it is time to learn the art of Enchantment and Disenchantment. Knowing when you, your ally, or your foe is under an enchantment can be invaluable. Brother Pe Wan will assist us with this exercise. You will do battle with him, removing his Enchantments to increase your effectiveness.
By accepting this quest you will abandon other advanced training quests and put yourself into a separate training arena from the rest of your party, if applicable.
Yes Accept: "I am ready to learn."
No Decline: "Enchantments do not interest me."
Ask Ask: "Your enemies will employ Enchantments to sustain them. Learn how to negate their effects or remove them altogether as the next step in your training."

Intermediate dialogue[edit]

Mei Ling
Brother Pe Wan will now enchant himself. Your task is to remove his Enchantments, which will weaken him to your attacks.
Mei Ling
Ready...begin!
Mei Ling
Good work. Now you know what an Enchantment looks like when it affects an ally or an opponent. Headmaster Amara predicted that you would pass this test, but do not get complacent; there is much more to learn. At least you have a good foundation, now.

Reward dialogue[edit]

Instructor Ng
Well done, young apprentice. You have passed the Disenchantment course. Just remember, this is a skill that will improve with practice.

Notes[edit]

  • Life Sheath's functionality was redesigned since this quest was introduced making its removal rather ineffective; if stripped he will reapply it within two seconds, making the quest unusually difficult.
    • It thus may be easier to take any fast rate of damage; if three hits are dealt every 2 seconds — one to trigger Life Sheath, one to redo what was healed, one to damage, then he will die eventually.
    • If you are an assassin, try letting his life sheath absorb a normal attack after the first move of your combo, then you can finish your combo before the next life sheath.
      • At level 10, with 5 points each in Dagger Mastery, Shadow Arts, and Critical Strikes, using Unsuspecting Strike, Fox Fangs, Twisting Fangs and Shroud of Distress, maintaining Shroud while using the attack skills (with the above in consideration) will ensure safe, but slow, completion.
    • Taking skills that apply health degeneration such as Faintheartedness, Life Siphon, and Conjure Phantasm will negate the effects of Life Sheath altogether.
  • Since the skills are given upon accepting this quest, you can actually learn all the skills if you wait until you are Weh no Su. Simply take the quest, abandon it, switch secondary professions, then take the quest again. Repeat until your character learns all the skills.
