There is a lot of content that spans across several continents, such as Hearts of the North, the Black Moa Chick, the Skill Hunter title, Zaishen Quests, and Festive Events. When the continents need to be switched between very often, it can be annoying to have a party of 8 that needs to split up whenever it uses the ship to travel to Lion's Arch or Kamadan. This can be bypassed by visiting Embark Beach and using the travel there, but it adds another stop and forces one to sometimes cross the entire area to reach the destination. Another method for bypassing it is using the Asura Gates to Boreal Station, but it only works for going into Tyria, and there is no Asura Gate in the Battle Isles. However, there shouldn't be any methods for bypassing a roadblock when you're map traveling in a game. I suggest making Droknar's Forge or Port Sledge and one of the sea-bordering outposts in Kourna into ports, because they have party sizes of 8. They would both cut travel time and regrouping time down, and people would be more willing to do an activity if it would be easier to get there. The only issues would be uneven ports per continent and too many ports on the list. To counter this, the ports could be sorted by continent. Kaineng Center already allows a party of 8, so it is the only port that lets people get into it without any problems. Cantha doesn't need another port; however, to keep things even, Shing Jea Monastery, Seitung Harbor, or the Marketplace could be made into a port destination that doesn't give premature access to the Travel ship, if it becomes necessary. Having ports that allow party sizes of 8 on all continents would let the players move more freely through the game, which would lead to more playing and less frustration overall.
If the team wanted to, and it wouldn't detract much at all from their current plans, they could create a method of transport between the Temple of Ages, Zin Ku Corridor, and the Chantry of Secrets through some holy magic method, a 3-way Asura Gate, or some other method. Because these three areas are major places for access to the Underworld and the Fissure of Woe, it would make more sense for getting between the three continents with less trouble with party size limits. The only disadvantage is that it might cause unnecessary traffic in those areas for people simply passing through, but the instant access to the similar outposts would also cut down time for people simply looking for a group to do one of these areas.
